Hi! Are you new here? Ah! You just got hired you say? Well, one question... Are you ready to solve some mysteries?? Great! So am I! I will be your assistant along the way. Let me tell you. This is going to be fun! Now, some mysteries may be messed up and creepy, but solving problems and mysteries is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. You know when you used to watch mystery shows? Or played mystery games? It's almost like that! Except it's just more advanced. Alright. Enough talking. Let's get you started with the basics.

Now, to be a professional detective, you must know how to solve mysteries. And you gotta do it right and be good at it! So, let's teach you how to properly solve a mystery. Along the way, you will read about your journey. Then, when the time comes, you will have to make important decisions that will affect your story! When it is time to make the decisions, you must think carefully! Because some could lead to you incorrectly solving the mystery, and some can lead to you solving the mystery successfully! So think about your choices. Each story will have different sections. They will be split up like this:

Section 1:

Section 2:

(Whatever that section will say)

Section 3:

(Whatever that section will say)

And so on. For each decision you have to make, there will be options. Each option will have a section that it will tell you to go to. So whatever option you choose, you must go to that section to find out what your decision leads to! It is pretty easy once you get the hang of it! And like I said, think carefully about your decision. Now... I shall test you. This is a little test/challenge to get you warmed up and see if you are ready!

Beginning Test: The Hospital Murder

Section 1:

Hello new detective! Ready to start your first warm up challenge? Alright! Let's start! Okay... you are at your office, chilling. Bored. You haven't had a call in weeks! Then, your telephone finally rings! You instantly pick up, hoping that it's a new mystery. And to your surprise, it is! A patient was brutally murdered at Healthy Hearts Hospital! "Ooh... spooky!" You think to yourself. You are super excited that you finally have something to do. So, you hop in your vehicle and head to the Healthy Hearts Hospital. When you get there, you meet your assistant, me! I tell you that a patient had been feeling ill, and his throat was hurting. So he came to the hospital, hoping to get treated and get sent home feeling better. Little did he know, he wasn't going home. Someone in that hospital had been evil that day. So we go inside, and investigate the room that he was sent to, to be taken care of. You look at a paper on the front desk that had all the patients' names on them, and what room they were in. The guy that had been murdered was named Jared Moore. Only 32 years old, and was known to be a pretty good, healthy guy. So sad what happened to him. But remember. This isn't real. This is your starting challenge! So don't feel bad or anything. He is just a made up character! Anyways, back to the investigation. Jared Moore was in room 451. You and I head to room 451, anxious to find out what really happened. In the elevator, I ask you, "What do you think happened to him?" Now. This is your first decision. This isn't really an important decision, it's just a guess. So choose what you want!

He died from medical problems. Nothing serious (Go to section 2)

Doctor killed him.

Section 2:

"Yeah. Makes sense." I say. Probably the most reasonable answer. But with this cruel world we live in, I wouldn't be surprised with anything, really. We get to the room. We look around, and you find a few things that could be helpful. A pill bottle, a note about Jared Moore, and a sharp tool that looked as if it was used for emergency operations. Which one should you investigate into?

Section 3:

"Wow. Hot take" I say while chuckling. Could be possible, but would be pretty messed up. We get to the room, and start to search the room. You find 3 things that could be useful. A pill bottle, a note about Jared Moore, and a sharp tool that looks as if it is used for emergency operations. Which one do you look at and investigate?

Section 4:

"Oh. What kind of patient would kill another patient? I guess they would if they had a grudge between each other." I say. We get to the room, and begin to look around. While looking, you find 3 things that could be useful. A pill bottle, a note about Jared Moore, and a sharp tool that looks as if it were used for emergency operations. Which one do you investigate?

Section 5:

"What did you find?" I ask. "I found a pill bottle. I guess we can see if he has a prescription for it. If not, then someone gave him this which could have caused his death." You say. "Good find!" I say. You look at the pill bottle, but nothing is on it. No name of what it is, no name of who it was prescribed to, no date, nothing. We both start to look in all the drawers to see if there was a paper saying that Jared Moore was prescribed this. Nothing. We then go back down to the front office to see if there was anything there. After looking in every drawer, there was nothing found. Which means Jared Moore was not prescribed whatever this medication is. We then find a sticky note on the front desk. It read, "If help is needed, the front desk associate's number is (555)-148-9074." So, we dialed the phone number, and she picked up. "Hello? Who is this?" the voice said on the phone. "Hey, is this the worker at the front desk of the Healthy Hearts Hospital?" You say. "Yes, it is! Are you the detective?" the voice says. "Sure am. I need to ask some questions." You say. After asking some questions about Jared Moore and the medication, you find out that the medication is completely unknown. Nobody knows what it is, which most likely means that someone might have gave it to Jared Moore with intentions of killing him. Great find, detective! You take the mysterious pills to the police station, so they can look into it and see what it is. Hours later, they contact you and tell you that it is a very dangerous drug. Not good. You go back to the hospital to pick up Jared Moore's body, so you can test him to see if he took the drugs. We pick up his body, take it to the police station, and surprise, surprise. He did. Now... who gave him them? Who do you investigate?

Section 6:

You pick up the note about Jared Moore. It says: Jared Moore:

-23 yrs old

-Sore throat

-Bad cough

-Headache

-Ringing in ears

Well. That doesn't tell us much... Let's look at something else. What next?

Section 7:

"What's that?" I ask. "Some random sharp object I found. Looks like it's used for operations or something." You say. You look into it a bit more, and find out it is used to cut the patient's skin open if needed. Not used that much, only for emergencies. Well. Only one way to find out if Jared Moore's murderer used this to kill him. Check his body for stab wounds or cuts. After sending his body to the police department, we find out that there are no cuts or anything on him. So, that crosses out the operation tool. What do you look into next?

Section 8:

You call the front desk lady again to find out the doctor's name. Apparently her name is Sadie McLowell. She is 54 years old, and doesn't really have any family. A loner... either you feel bad for her, or you look at her as suspicious. Anyway, You find out where she lives, and we head over to her place. When we get there, it is a tall, old, beat up place. Ew... creepy. You knock at the door, and after a few seconds, a middle aged lady answers. She must be Sadie McLowell. You ask, and she informs you that she is. She welcomes you in to sit down, and you ask some questions. We didn't learn much, but we decide to check the security cameras anyway. Just to be safe. After a careful, cautious watch on the computer. You see something that makes your heart drop. You see Jared Moore lying in the bed, sleeping. Then Sadie McLowell comes into the room. Tip-toeing? Wierd... You keep watching closely, and she picks up the pill bottle, creeps over to Jared Moore, and pours some into his mouth. You instantly pick up the phone and call the cops. After they watch the security cameras, they confirm that the mystery is solved, and rush over to Sadie McLowell's house to arrest her. About a day later, you get the news that she was charged with murder, and she was put in prison. Well detective, you did it! You solved your first mystery!! Way to go! I say that you are ready to become a professional detective! Go to section 11 for ending!

Section 9:

We go to the back and go to the security room. We plug in the computers, and click on "previous footage". We reverse it back to the time when the crime occurred. After watching for a few minutes. You see something shocking. You see Sadie McDowell, the doctor walk in the room. She quietly grabs the bottle, and to your surprise, pours some into Jared Moore's mouth! You instantly report the footage to the police, and rush over to the doctor's house. They charge her with murder, and throw her in prison. After, they thank you for solving the big mystery, and boom! You have solved your beginning challenge! I say you are ready to become a professional detective! Way to go! Go to section 11 for ending!

Section 10:

You call the lady from the front desk again, and ask her questions. Further into the talk, she starts to get scared. You ask her what's wrong, and she says, "I just can't believe I am a suspect! I am sorry, but this is my first time being in this kind of situation! But I understand that you guys have to do this. So you may continue." You continue to ask questions, and after the phone call, there is no proof that she could have done it. She was at the desk the whole time. And after watching the security footage, you can confirm that it was not her. Who do you investigate next?
