Whispering Veails
the beach beyond the chaos
Welcome reader first of all thanks for even give this story a shot
The shower taps echoing in a quiet bathroom, muffled cries mixing with the water
Tulika
''The water ran down her face, warm but powerless to wash away the weight pressing on her chest. She could still hear the echoes of her family’s words, sharper than any blade."
Tulika
The voices in her head : “Why can’t you be more like your sister?” her mother had snapped.
> “Always disappointing… always causing trouble.”
She had carried this for years, burying it under forced smiles and endless effort. But today, it all became unbearable. Her hands shook as she gripped the shower handle, tears mixing with the water. Panic clawed at her chest. She wanted to scream, vanish, escape everything that made her feel small.
A sudden gust of wind brushed past her, cold and sharp. Her eyes widened. The water cascading from the shower shimmered like a glass door forming in the middle of her bathroom. Beyond it stretched a beach, surreal and quiet, untouched by anyone else.
Hesitation rooted her in place. Her heart hammered, but something deeper pulled her forward. Step by trembling step, she walked through the veil. The sand beneath her feet was cool, the ocean’s rhythm filling the silence of the night.
she wasn't only one there someone else was also present
Tulika
She paused, scanning the shore, and noticed just a figure because there was soo dark . A man, sitting alone, facing the sea, radiating intensity she couldn’t place. There was something unreadable about him—cold, distant—but in the way he held himself, there was also… softness. Protective, almost.
Tulika
Without thinking, she sat beside him, hugging her knees. Her hands trembled. The storm of emotions inside her—the fear, pain, confusion—made her tremble. She didn’t know him, yet somehow, she already felt the pull of his presence.

why all of sudden this chaotic world seems lighter
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
He sensed her presence before she fully crossed the threshold—a faint ripple in the air, subtle, different. Normally, reading minds was effortless. But hers… hers was a fortress. Guarded, layered, impossible to breach.
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
Curiosity, caution, and a rare instinct to protect surged simultaneously. He observed her quietly—the small tremors, the shaky breaths, the way she clutched herself. Cold calculation ran through him, analyzing every detail. But beneath it, a flicker of something he seldom allowed: the urge to shield her, to hold her safe.
When she leaned slightly into him, almost instinctively, he didn’t move. One arm wrapped around her shoulders, careful, gentle. Enough to let her feel a shield, a boundary, a safety.
he don't know why but he said
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
“You don’t have to face it alone,” he murmured. “Not here. Not with me.”
Her small intake of breath betrayed surprise. Tears escaped slowly, years of hidden pain leaking out in small sobs. He held her, silent, letting her set the pace.
Tulika
“I… I’ve never… felt… like anyone could just… hold me like this,” she whispered
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
You’re safe,” he said quietly. “And I’m not leaving.”
The storm hit the shore suddenly, waves crashing, wind tearing her hair across her face. The portal shimmered again, faint and insistent.
Before she could call out, he was gone—a shadow among the chaos, leaving as silently as he had appeared
Her heart ached. She didn’t know his name, his face, anything. But she already felt the ache of something lost and gained, something that felt like home and danger all at once.
Tulika
Who… are you?” she whispered into the wind.
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
He slipped into the shadows, precise, calculating. He couldn’t read her fully—her mind was locked, powerful, unknowable. But the pull between them was undeniable.
He would find her again. One way or another.
The portal faded. The waves continued their rhythm, leaving her alone on the shore. They would never meet again—not now, not like this.
And yet, years later, fate had its own plan. Two years passed. Different places, different lives—but the memory lingered, a heartbeat that refused to fade.
When they met again, now strangers in a new world, most would try to pair them off—but neither would accept. He didn’t like her—or so he claimed. She didn’t like him—or so she told herself.
But the truth was undeniable. He loved the broken girl he first encountered on that mysterious shore. She loved the only person who had ever made her feel at home.
And that… was how it all began.

Not able to accept the change
Tulika woke with a start. Sunlight spilled through her bedroom window, golden and sharp, as if trying to erase the memory of the night before. Her heart still raced. The waves, the storm, the stranger—it all felt both impossibly real and dreamlike.
She sat up, blanket tangled around her legs, and glanced around. Her room was ordinary, her walls familiar. Nothing suggested that a portal had opened in her bathroom last night.
Tulika
Oh god my head is spinning which types of dreams I'm getting these days
Tulika
IG I really need a psychiatrist
Suddenly she noticed a single grain of sand rested on her windowsill. And on her shoulder, a faint shimmer pulsed briefly, then vanished, like it had been waiting for her.
Tulika’s hand hovered over the spot, disbelief mixing with a strange thrill. It wasn’t a dream. Something had followed her back
Tulika

Meanwhile, somewhere else, he felt the pull too. It wasn’t physical—it was subtle, almost like a tug at his chest. He couldn’t read her mind, but the aura she left behind was undeniable, lingering, insistent.
He clenched his fists, frustration and curiosity warring within him. He had rules—boundaries he never broke. Yet her presence violated every one of them, and he didn’t know how to resist.
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
It never ever happened that I can't read anyone how is it even possible
Aradhya Malhotra (ml)
Whyyyy and who was her
After school hour end she went back to her home
That evening, Tulika lingered by the bathroom mirror washing her face , unable to shake the memory of the previous night. The shower tiles glistened under the fading sunlight, ordinary yet charged with a strange energy. Her fingers itched to touch the cool metal, hesitant, trembling.
Then, faintly at first, she saw it—the shimmer, a thin ripple across the glass. The air felt different, heavy with salt and possibility. Her heartbeat quickened. The portal was calling again.
She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. Maybe it’s a dream… maybe it’s real… but I have to know.
Tulika
I have to figure it out
Step by trembling step, she pushed through the glass, hoping with all her heart to see the stranger again.
The beach greeted her with a softer light, the waves lapping gently against the sand. It felt familiar yet new, as though it had been waiting for her return.
Tulika
*But her eyes swept the shore… and it was empty. No one sitting by the waves. Just the endless sand stretching to the horizon, the sea whispering secrets she couldn’t yet understand.*
Tulika
Waoooo thats soo good
Tulika
If it's is tru then may be he'll be tru too
Tulika
** her eyes start roaming**
Tulika
**Her chest tightened. A mix of disappointment and a strange pull urged her forward.
She stepped cautiously along the sand, letting the warmth seep into her feet, the ocean breeze brush her hair. The faint shimmer along the waves seemed almost like the beach itself was trying to guide her, urging patience.
Tulika
** stands up from there **
Tulika
I thought you'll be there
Only the waves answered, rolling softly against the shore.
Tulika
**As she stood alone, Tulika felt it—a connection with the water, subtle yet undeniable. The tide seemed to pulse gently beneath her feet, the foam curling around her toes as though aware of her presence.
Her chest fluttered. The sensation was strange and exhilarating. She didn’t understand it, but instinctively, she realized she could somehow influence the elements around her—the water responding to her presence, her emotions. This power wasn’t inherited. It had always been there, arising naturally, awakening only in moments of deep feeling.
A low rumble of the ocean echoed farther than it should have. Tiny sparks flickered along the waves, like distant stars reflected in the water.
**
Tulika’s eyes widened. Something was changing. Something was coming.
No answer came—only the soft, relentless rhythm of the tide.
And as the sun dipped behind the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and violet, Tulika felt it deep in her chest: she would return, and the beach… would not stay empty forever.
