THE LOST HEIR

The forest silence

The forest was alive with the sounds of nature. Birds chirped, leaves rustled and the gentle breeze whispered secret through the trees. Aria crouched behind a thick veil of foliage, her eyes fixed on the deer grazing peacefully in the clearing. Her bow was drawn, the string taut with anticipation. Aria focus was unwavering her breathing steady as she took aim. She had been tracking the deer for hours, and she wouldn't let it escape. The hunt was a necessity, providing food for her small community. Her stomach growled in anticipation of the fresh meat. Just as she was about to release the arrow, a faint rustling in the under bush caught her attention. Aria head snapped towards the sound her senses on high alert. A figure emerged from the shadows. Their footsteps light and deliberate. Aria grip on the bow tightened her heart racing with a mix of excitement and caution. She wasn't expecting company, especially not in her hunting grounds. The figure drew closer, and Aria eyes narrowed, sizing them up. The stranger was tall with piercing green eyes that seemed to gleam in the fading light. Aria felt a shiver run down her spine as their gazes met, the air thick with tension. Who are you?" Aria demanded her voice firm and commanding. The stranger gaze lingered on her face before they nodded slightly. " I'm looking for someone. A young woman with exceptional skills...and a scar above her left eyebrow". Aria hand instinctively rose to the scar above her eyebrow a habit she'd developed over the years. Her eyes narrowed, suspicion etched on her face " what do you want with me . The stranger's smile was enigmatic and felt a sense of unease wash over her. She didn't like the way this conversation was going. My name is not important. The stranger said, their voice low and mysterious. But the information I bring is crucial. You're not who you think you are, aria. Aria grip on the bow faltered, her mind reeling with questions. The Revelation of Aria's True Identity

Aria's eyes scanned the dimly lit room, the flickering candles casting eerie shadows on the walls. She had always felt like an outsider, like there was something missing in her life. The letter she had received a few days ago had changed everything. It was an invitation to Ravenswood Manor, from a mysterious benefactor claiming to have information about her past.

As she waited, the door creaked open, and a butler entered. "Miss Aria, Lord Edgar Ravenswood will see you now."

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she followed the butler through the labyrinthine corridors of Ravenswood Manor. They finally arrived at a door adorned with intricate carvings. The butler knocked twice, and a voice from within bid them enter.

Lord Edgar Ravenswood, an elderly man with piercing blue eyes, greeted Aria warmly. "Please, sit down, my dear. I see you're curious about your past."

Aria nodded, her mind racing with questions.

"You're wondering why you're here," Lord Edgar began. "Aria, you're not who you think you are. You're not just a young woman with a mysterious past. You're the last heir of Ravenswood."

Aria's eyes widened in shock. "What do you mean?"

"You're the daughter of our late nephew, Alexander Ravenswood," Lord Edgar explained. "Your parents were killed in a tragic accident, and you were presumed dead. We believed you were lost forever, but it seems fate has other plans."

Aria's world spun around her. She had always felt like she didn't belong, like she was living someone else's life. Now, the truth was finally unfolding before her.

"Why didn't anyone tell me?" Aria asked, her voice shaking.

"We wanted to protect you," Lord Edgar said. "But now, with the will reading approaching, it's essential you know the truth. You're the rightful heir to Ravenswood Manor and its vast fortune."

Aria's thoughts swirled as she tried to process this revelation. She was a Ravenswood, with a legacy and responsibilities she had never imagined.

As Lord Edgar handed her a small, ornate box, Aria felt a sense of belonging she had never known before. Inside the box lay a locket with the Ravenswood crest.

"This was your mother's," Lord Edgar said, his eyes misty. "She would have wanted you to have it."

Aria's fingers closed around the locket, feeling a sense of connection to her family for the first time in her life.

But with this newfound identity came questions. What did it mean to be a Ravenswood? What secrets lay hidden in the shadows of Ravenswood Manor? Aria was determined to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.

Aria's mind reeled as she held the locket, the weight of her newfound identity settling in. She thought about all the times she'd felt like an outsider, like she didn't quite fit in. It all made sense now – she was a Ravenswood, with a legacy that stretched back centuries.

As she gazed at the locket, Aria felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her. There was excitement, curiosity, and a hint of fear. What did it mean to be a Ravenswood? What responsibilities came with the name? And what secrets lay hidden in the shadows of Ravenswood Manor?

Lord Edgar's voice broke the silence, his tone gentle. "It's a lot to take in, I know. But you're not alone, Aria. You have us – the staff and the Ravenswood family – to support you."

Aria nodded, trying to process everything. She thought about her childhood, her memories, and her sense of self. Was she still the same person she'd always been, or was she someone new entirely?

As she looked around the room, Aria noticed a painting on the wall. It was a portrait of a young couple, smiling and happy. Lord Edgar followed her gaze.

"

The Ravenswood Legacy

Aria's eyes adjusted to the dim lighting in the study, the scent of old books and leather enveloping her. Lord Edgar and Julian sat across from her, their faces filled with a mix of curiosity and warmth. She felt like she was stepping into a new world, one where she was expected to take on a role she wasn't sure she was ready for.

"Let's discuss the details of the will," Lord Edgar said, his voice firm but gentle. "As the last heir, you'll inherit Ravenswood Manor and its vast estate. However, there are certain... conditions."

Aria's ears perked up, her mind racing with questions. Conditions? What kind of conditions?

Julian leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers. "The will stipulates that you must stay at Ravenswood Manor for at least six months before you can claim full ownership. During that time, you'll need to learn about the estate's management and our family's history."

Aria's heart skipped a beat. Six months? That was a long time. But she was determined to uncover the truth about her family's past and her own identity.

"I'll do it," Aria said, her voice firm.

Lord Edgar nodded, a small smile on his face. "I knew you'd be willing. Julian will be your guide and mentor during your stay. He'll help you navigate the manor and introduce you to the staff."

Aria's eyes met Julian's, and for a moment, she felt a spark of connection. She looked away, her cheeks warming.

As Lord Edgar handed her a thick leather book, Aria felt the weight of her new responsibilities. The book was filled with documents and information about the estate's history, finances, and management.

"This is a lot to take in," Aria said, feeling overwhelmed.

Julian smiled. "Don't worry, I'll be here to help you every step of the way. We have a lot to cover before the will reading."

Aria nodded, determination rising within her. She was ready to learn and take on her new role as a Ravenswood.

As they spent the next few hours poring over documents and discussing the estate's affairs, Aria began to feel a sense of purpose she hadn't felt in years. She was starting to uncover the secrets of Ravenswood Manor, and she was determined to uncover them all.

The sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the manor. Aria felt a sense of belonging, like she was finally home.

But as she stood up to stretch, she noticed a piece of paper on the floor. She picked it up, and her eyes widened as she read the message scrawled on it:

"You're not safe here."

Aria's heart racing, she looked up to see Julian's eyes locked on hers. Had he seen the note? thank you all my supporters please keep reading my Novels and I will bring something very good for you guys soon
