You Were Meant for Me

introduction

✨ 1. RION AZREL – The Rebellious Omega

Age: 19

Traits: Soft, brave, stubborn, beautiful without trying

Scent: Vanilla + moonlight

Role: The omega everyone underestimates

Rion is an omega who refuses to act like one. In a world where omegas are expected to be silent and obedient, Rion speaks loudly, lives freely, and never bows his head to any alpha.

His silver hair, clear eyes, and soft voice confuse people—how can someone so gentle have a spine stronger than steel?

He works in a small flower shop, loves drawing, and dreams of a life where he isn’t controlled by laws or scents.

But deep inside, he hides fear:

What if he is forced to bond with someone he doesn’t love?

His scent is calm yet addictive. Many alphas notice it.

But only one finds it unforgettable.

✨ 2. KAEL DRAVEN – The Broken Alpha

Age: 22

Traits: Quiet, powerful, protective, lonely

Scent: Storm rain + cedarwood

Role: The alpha destined to be Rion’s matchmate

Kael is an alpha from a high-ranking clan. Everyone sees him as strong, dangerous, and emotionally cold. But they don’t know the truth—Kael is tired of pretending to be the “perfect alpha.”

He hates the expectations placed on him:

Lead. Fight. Dominate. Never feel. Never break.

But Kael is already breaking.

He carries a secret trauma that changed him forever. He avoids bonds, avoids omegas, avoids emotions—until he meets Rion.

When Kael smells Rion for the first time, something inside him softens and aches at the same time.

He doesn’t want an omega.

He doesn’t want a mate.

But he wants Rion—in a way he cannot explain.

✨ 3. LYN ORIAN – The Loyal Beta (And the Chaotic Best Friend)

Age: 20

Traits: Smart-mouthed, loyal, funny, secretly caring

Scent: Fresh mint

Role: Rion's closest friend + silent admirer

Lyn is the beta who always gets dragged into trouble because of Rion.

He jokes a lot, but he listens deeply.

He complains a lot, but he protects fiercely.

He knows he can never be with Rion—not in a world where an omega’s scent doesn’t respond to betas.

But he stays by Rion’s side anyway…

Even though sometimes, when Kael walks into the shop and Rion blushes slightly…

Lyn’s chest tightens painfully.

He never says anything.

He never will.

✨ 4. SENRA VALE – The Forbidden Omega

Age: 18

Traits: Innocent smile, dangerous heart

Scent: Sweet berries

Role: A hidden threat + rival omega

Senra looks like an angel—soft eyes, pretty lips, gentle voice. But behind that sweetness is a possessive, jealous omega who always gets what he wants.

He grew up being told that he would one day bond with a powerful alpha.

He believed it.

He trained for it.

He lived for it.

But then Kael met Rion.

Senra notices the way Kael looks at Rion.

And Senra decides…

If the world wants Kael to be Rion’s destiny, then Senra will destroy that destiny himself.

✨ 5. AERON – The Mysterious Alpha Scholar

Age: 23

Traits: Calm, unreadable, intelligent

Scent: Cold winter air

Role: Secret protector + Kael’s closest friend

Aeron looks like he knows everything—and maybe he does.

He studies ancient omega–alpha bond myths, the hidden powers behind scents, and forbidden bond types. He speaks little but observes everything.

He knows Kael’s past.

He knows Rion’s importance.

And he knows something else…

Rion and Kael share a bond that was written before either of them were born.

But he doesn’t reveal it.

Not yet.

Hello! This is my first time writing a BL Omegaverse story, so I’m a bit nervous… but I hope you’ll enjoy it.”

~chapter ~

The morning sun had barely risen, but Rion Azrel was already arranging moon orchids in the front window of Flora Haven, the tiny flower shop he worked at. His silver hair glowed softly under the warm light, and his vanilla-moonlight scent drifted through the room, calming the air like always.

Except today… Rion wasn’t calm.

His fingers trembled slightly as he arranged the petals.

Something in the air felt different—like a storm waiting to break.

Rion tried to shake it off.

“Probably just lack of sleep,” he muttered.

From the counter, Lyn Orian snorted.

“That’s what you say every day. And every day you still look like an angel who hasn’t slept in 10 years.”

Rion rolled his eyes.

“Shut up, Lyn.”

But Lyn grinned, leaning against the counter with that minty scent of his.

“I’m just saying,” he teased, “if you keep looking that cute, one day a dangerous alpha will walk in and—”

The bell above the door rang.

And the world fell silent.

A tall figure stepped inside.

Broad shoulders.

Black cloak.

Hair slightly messy from wind.

Eyes like winter storms.

Kael Draven.

Rion didn’t know his name yet.

But his scent—storm rain and cedarwood—hit the room like thunder.

Rion froze.

Lyn’s playful expression vanished instantly.

Even the flowers seemed to stand straighter.

Kael’s gaze swept the shop slowly… and then landed on Rion.

For a moment, Kael forgot to breathe.

He had seen omegas before—hundreds of them, elegant, delicate, graceful. But he had never felt anything like this. The soft vanilla mixed with moonlight wrapped around him, warm and gentle, tugging at the parts of him he’d locked away long ago.

His chest ached.

His heartbeat stuttered.

No.

He didn’t want this.

Not again.

Not ever.

But when Rion blinked up at him, lips parted slightly in surprise, Kael felt something inside him break and heal at the same time.

“C–can I help you?” Rion asked, glancing away, suddenly shy—something he almost never was.

Kael swallowed.

He didn’t know why his voice shook when he answered.

“I… need moon orchids.”

Rion nodded quickly and turned, but his fingers faltered. The vase nearly slipped.

Kael moved before he could think.

One step.

Two.

His hand caught Rion’s wrist gently, steadying it.

A spark shot between them—raw, electric, burning.

Rion gasped softly.

Kael’s eyes widened.

He let go immediately, stepping back like he’d touched fire.

“I—sorry,” Kael muttered, voice low, tense, almost pained.

Rion’s heart beat too fast.

Not from fear.

From something else he didn’t want to name.

From behind the counter, Lyn stared at the scene, his jaw tightening.

Who the hell was this alpha?

And why did Rion’s scent suddenly react like that?

Rion cleared his throat, grabbing the vase properly this time.

“No worries,” he whispered.

He didn’t understand why his cheeks were warm.

Kael watched him carefully, eyes softer than before… almost vulnerable.

Rion placed the orchids on the counter.

“These are fresh. Just arrived today.”

Kael nodded but didn’t look at the flowers.

He looked only at him.

“Your scent…”

Kael suddenly stopped.

Rion froze.

Every omega feared those words—because scents could change destinies.

But Kael didn’t finish his sentence.

Instead, he pulled out payment silently.

Rion took the money, their fingers brushing.

That spark again.

Kael stepped back, gripping the flowers tightly.

This shouldn’t happen.

He wasn’t supposed to feel anything.

Not after what he’d lost.

He forced himself to turn and leave.

But at the door, he paused.

Without looking back, he said:

“What’s your name… omega?”

Rion’s breath caught.

Something in Kael’s voice wasn’t dominance.

It was curiosity.

Interest.

A pull he couldn’t hide.

“…Rion,” he answered softly.

Kael stood there for a heartbeat… then whispered:

“Rion.”

As if tasting the name.

As if memorizing it.

Then he walked out.

Rion stood frozen.

His heart was too loud.

His scent too warm.

Lyn rushed to him immediately.

“Rion? Are you okay? Who even was that alpha? Did he touch you? Did he scare you?”

Rion shook his head slowly.

“No… he didn’t scare me.”

“Then why do you look like you just saw your soulmate?”

Rion didn’t answer.

But outside, standing under a grey sky, Kael Draven looked down at the moon orchids in his hand.

And for the first time in years,

he whispered to himself…

“Why… does he smell like fate?”

Thank you so much for reading this chapter.

I’m still a beginner writer, but your support means everything to me.

I hope you enjoyed meeting Rion, Kael, and the world they live in.

Their journey has only just begun — there is so much more love, drama, and destiny waiting for them.

Please look forward to the next chapter.

I’ll continue the story soon, with all my heart.

~chapter ~

Kael Draven stood in the cold morning air, gripping the moon orchids far too tightly.

He hadn’t meant to say the word fate out loud.

He didn’t even believe in it.

But Rion’s scent…

Moonlight. Vanilla. Warmth. Softness.

And beneath it — something impossibly rare.

Something Kael thought he would never smell again in his lifetime:

A destined resonance.

A scent that called to him.

Matched him.

Pulled at him.

An omega compatible with his alpha nature.

He hated it.

He wanted to run far from it.

But his feet wouldn’t move.

The shop door closed behind him with a soft chime, and Kael finally forced himself to walk away — each step heavier than the last.

Inside the Shop

Rion sat down behind the counter, hugging his knees to his chest. His cheeks burned, and his scent refused to settle, fluttering softly like silver smoke.

Lyn stood in front of him, arms crossed, expression sharp.

“Okay, talk,” Lyn demanded. “What was that?”

Rion hid his face in his hands.

“I don’t know.”

“Yes, you do.” Lyn leaned closer. “Your scent spiked the moment he touched you.”

Rion’s eyes widened. “It did?!”

“Oh, absolutely,” Lyn said dramatically. “The flowers nearly fainted.”

Rion groaned and buried his face again.

He’d never reacted to an alpha like this — not once, not ever.

He wasn’t supposed to.

He refused to be the kind of omega who melts at one touch, one deep voice, one strong gaze.

No. Absolutely not.

“That alpha…” Lyn muttered, frowning. “Who is he? He felt… dangerous.”

Rion remembered the eyes that looked at him like he was something fragile and important.

“I don’t think he meant to scare me,” Rion whispered.

“That’s worse!” Lyn snapped. “A dangerous alpha who doesn’t even realize he’s dangerous? Rion, that’s a nightmare!”

But Rion wasn’t listening anymore.

His wrist still tingled where Kael had touched him.

His heart still beat too fast.

And the strange warmth in his chest — that weird tug, that fate feeling — wouldn’t disappear.

Outside — Kael’s Struggle

Kael didn’t return home immediately.

Instead, he stopped in a quiet alley and pressed a hand to his chest.

His heartbeat was too loud.

Too uneven.

Too… hopeful.

He shut his eyes.

No. I can’t. I won’t let this happen again.

His past rose like a ghost — the broken promises, the omega he once failed to protect, the blood on his hands.

He didn’t deserve something as gentle as Rion.

As bright.

As innocent.

Kael opened his eyes, jaw tight.

“I should stay away.”

He turned to leave.

But the moment he moved, the moon orchids glowed faintly in his hand — reacting to Rion’s lingering scent.

Kael froze.

The flowers only did that for one reason:

They recognized a bond.

Kael’s breath caught.

“…Impossible.”

He gripped the orchids shakily.

“No. This can’t be happening again.”

But fate… didn’t care what he believed.

Back at Flora Haven

Rion stood from the counter and dusted his apron.

“I’m fine,” he told Lyn softly. “Let’s just work.”

Even though he wasn’t fine.

Even though his scent still flickered with warmth.

Even though a stranger’s cold eyes haunted him with impossible softness.

Rion returned to arranging flowers — pretending everything was normal.

But every time the bell on the door rang, his heart jumped.

Lyn noticed.

“Rion,” he said quietly, “are you… waiting for him to come back?”

Rion looked away.

“…No.”

But his scent whispered a different truth.

At the Same Time — Far Away

Kael reached his manor, stepping inside with heavy steps. His beta guard, Aeron, immediately sensed something was off.

“You look… disturbed,” Aeron said.

Kael ignored him and placed the moon orchids on the table.

Aeron raised an eyebrow.

“You bought flowers? Since when do you—”

Kael cut him off sharply.

“Aeron.”

“Yes?”

“Find out who works at Flora Haven.”

Aeron froze.

“…Why?”

Kael looked at the glowing orchids, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Because something impossible happened today.”

Aeron could smell the faint trace of vanilla-moonlight clinging to Kael’s cloak.

And his eyes widened in disbelief.

“Kael… is that—”

Kael glared at him.

“Don’t say it.”

Aeron didn’t.

But both of them knew what the scent meant.

A destined omega.

A resonance bond.

A fate Kael never wanted again.

And Back at the Shop…

Rion stepped outside for a moment to breathe.

The sky was still grey.

The air cool.

But his scent warmed the breeze.

He placed a hand over his heart.

“Why… am I reacting like this?”

He didn’t know Kael.

Didn’t know his past.

Didn’t know the storm he carried inside him.

But he knew one thing—

When their eyes met,

when their scents brushed,

when Kael whispered his name…

Something in Rion whispered back:

This is the beginning.
