One day, when the 9th grade starts to begin I knew my life will be changed.

And when I looked at him, the first look says the never expected one "the look of love" which is strange because, I used to not believing in love.

But the "no love until graduate" disappeared and that is the day my life completely changed.

Checxie's Pov

"checxie! checxie!" my mom yelled

"yes?" I said

"come here! it's time for lunch" my mom said

Hi I'm Checxie Lyn Martinez, a mysterious girl who always on my book, reading romance stories, quite, introvert and doesn't have any friends.

But yeah, I'm not like this before, I'm joyful, talkative, friendly and always smiling, but when the pandemic starts, everything changed.

When I was 8 years old, that is the best year of my life. Creating memories with my friends (playmates) was the best part, always outside and almost never come home.

I have this crush name Giayn, Giayn Cruz. He's my childhood crush, and all my family knew it.

"checxie, you're always outside. never thought of coming home?" Chelsea said

She is Chelsea, Chelsea Lyn Martinez. my older sister, and my close sibling / my bestie, she knew all of my secrets like how I pooped on my pants when I was in grade 2, all my past crushies.

She is the only person I trusted the most, believe it all of my secrets, she is the only one who knew, and she tell it

"because she went to a date, haha" Chris said

"shut up, chris! wait what, date? I'm only 8 years old, what are you thinking!" as I said it, with anger

And he is Chris, Chris Louise Martinez. The most annoying brother in the entire world, he is the most naughty among the siblings, and he is the cause of our parents' headache, he likes to prank us everyday freaking day.

one day, I have a big wound around my knee because he pushed me while I'm practicing my bike cycle, because he said he saw a mosquito in my arm, which is never true. after all of that, he is also the best brother in the world, always protecting me, and he also one call away.

"Shussh, everyone shut up and checxie, you're so dirty! go changed your clothes so we can have dinner, faster." Mom said.

"Yeah yeah, ohh chicken adobo my favorite. Please to eat the breast, that's my favorite part." I said

"Yeah yeah, we won't eat that" All of them speaking

"*Smile* hehe" I said and runs at my room

"Checxie, faster! I'm hungry" Chris said

"Yeah coming" I said

"What took you long?" Papa said

"She probably thinking about her crush" Chris said

"Shut up chris" I said

"Who's crush?" Papa said

*In mind* "I thought papa knew" Checxie said

" her playmate, Giayn" Chris said

"Giayn Cruz?" Papa said

"Yeah" Chris said

"Just having crush, okay? inspiration only" I said

"What, inspiration of always outside and never coming home?" Chelsea said

"Chelsea..." I said

*everyone laughed*

"Okay.. let's eat now, but let's pray first." Mom said

We prayed, and we eat. we have a lot of fun while eating, and that is the only bond we, except on Sundays cuz that is our family day.

– tomorrow morning –

"Hey wake up, Giayn is waiting outside" Chelsea said

"Wait what? it's too early to for playing" I said

"Come on, I think he has important things to tell you" Chelsea said

"Okay" I said with my laziness

When i looked at him, I was shocked. He's crying, my best friend / crush is crying

*Shocked* "wait, are you crying? what happened?" I said

"We're moving. my dad found a new job in london, I-I told dad many time that I don't want to move out but he is always said "it's okay honey, life in london is good, you can make other friends there." Giayn said

And d I can't respond to what he says, because I'm still in shocked"

"A-are you sure?, n-no." I said and my eyes filled with tears

"We can still be friends, right?" i said

"Of course, I promise" Giayn said

And that's the first moment that made my life changed.
