When the Creatures Come for Her

Her birthday

In a quiet town surrounded by old stone walls and busy markets, lived a girl named Éloise Durand. Her parents worked at the royal palace and came home only once or twice a year—just enough to remind her that she existed, yet never enough to make her feel loved.

To them, Éloise was nothing more than a small mistake they had been forced to keep.

Now twenty-two, Éloise spent her life alone in a small house at the edge of town. But today was her birthday, and for the first time in years, her parents had come home. That alone was enough to make her heart feel lighter.

She walked down the crowded street with her friend Camille Moreau, weaving through vendors and colorful stalls. The smell of roasted bread, flowers, and spices filled the air.

“Éloise, what are you wearing this evening?” Camille asked, nudging her shoulder.

Éloise looked down at her simple dress. “I don’t know… maybe I’ll just wear this. It’s fine.”

“What? This?” Camille stopped her right in the middle of the street, grabbed her hands, and stared into her eyes.

“Éloise, you are not wearing this. You can wear one of my dresses, okay? I know you won’t buy a new one, so try mine this time.”

She smiled warmly and tugged Éloise forward.

“Camille, I don’t need one of your dresses. I look fine,” Éloise insisted. “My parents are here for my birthday… that’s all I want today.”

“Right,” Camille muttered, rolling her eyes. “Do you know your parents don’t even like you? And you still love them so much. Why?”

“Can we not talk about this today?” Éloise whispered as she opened the door to her house. She turned back and hugged Camille. “Everything is okay.”

“If you say so,” Camille sighed.

Inside, her parents were decorating the small table, hanging a few paper ribbons behind where the cake would be placed. When her father noticed her, he gave her a rare smile.

“Come, Éloise. Let’s cut the cake.”

“Yes, Father.”

She pulled Camille along with her.

Night fell quickly. They cut the cake, shared a few awkward laughs, and celebrated as if they were a normal family. But Éloise saw the wine bottle emptying fast. She noticed the way her parents’ eyes grew hazy, the way their smiles turned loose.

“Camille, you should go home now,” Éloise whispered.

“Yeah… it’s getting late,” Camille nodded. They walked to the door together, shared a quick hug, and Camille left.

When Éloise returned to the table, she heard her parents talking. She paused, hidden in the shadow near the doorway.

Her mother stood up from her chair and sat on her father’s lap, her hands resting around his neck.

“Honey,” her mother whispered, “we should hurry. The girl is getting older.”

Éloise froze.

Her father kissed her mother’s neck. “The buyer will come tomorrow. He’ll take her away. Then we can live happily.”

Her mother’s voice came out breathless, “Yes… after she’s gone.”

“Let’s continue this in our room,” her father murmured.

They stood, still kissing, and disappeared down the hallway.

Éloise had heard every word.

And she was not shocked. Not even surprised.

Silently, she gathered the plates and cleaned the table. She had lived with their cruelty her whole life—this was simply another page of the same story.

Just as she stepped into her room, a loud sound echoed through the house.

“Aaah!”

Her mother’s scream.

Inside the room

“Honey don't push it hard”

“It hurts”

“Yeah but only for today, we have to go back tomorrow”

“So let me do this”

He pin her on bed tigthly and and he spread her legs, both looks at eachother and he leaned in pushing his length more inside both moaning but not satisfied as there body pressed together her father leaned in to kiss her mother's body, both can't even move at all cause they were stuck at one place because his length was inside her hole,

“I'm not satisfied hold me tight”

She hold his neck and he push himself, he was on top of her body, moving twitchily, and fixing himself tightly inside her.

“After she is gone” She said breathelessly.

“we can do this daily and as much as you want”

“Yeah” he said in a low voice

He smirked and held her tigthly shaking his body on her up and down and leaned in to kiss on her lower body.

“It feels good” she said again.

“Push it again and again”

Ah-- mm, ha

Huff-- huff--

Éloise pressed her hand to her forehead and sighed.

“Can these people not stop? What will the neighbors think…?”

Without another glance, she entered her room and closed the door.

Morning arrived quietly, with soft sunlight slipping through the thin curtains of Éloise’s small home. Her parents had already left for the palace, rushing out without a word—as if last night’s conversation had never happened.

Éloise sighed and stepped into her daily routine.

Behind her house grew a cluster of rare plants and healing flowers. Humming softly, she walked through the small garden, plucking a few leaves and blossoms with gentle fingers. She carried them inside and arranged them on her wooden table.

As she crushed the herbs into powder, her thoughts darkened.

If someone comes to take me today… what will I do?

I want a life surrounded by nature, full of freedom. I can’t go anywhere with anyone.

She paused, staring at the mixture in her bowl, then exhaled slowly and returned to work. By the time the sky turned a soft orange, her medicines were ready. She wrapped each small pouch carefully and placed them in a cloth bag.

“Let’s go, Éloise,” she whispered to herself.

She locked her door and stepped out, humming a tune as she walked. Her smile was bright enough to lift the mood of the entire street.

“Hii!” she waved at an old man selling flowers.

He waved back with a warm grin.

Éloise talked to several townspeople, cheerful as always, before reaching her first customer’s house. She handed over the medicine with a polite bow.

“If you ever need anything else, do tell me,” she said, then walked away toward the next house.

On the way, Camille spotted her.

“Hi, Cami!” Éloise called, waving her hand energetically.

“Hi, Elo. Where are you going?”

“Delivering medicines, what else?” Éloise pouted playfully.

Camille chuckled. “All right, let’s go then.”

She linked arms with Éloise, and they continued the deliveries together, chatting nonstop.

After a while, Éloise’s smile faded a little.

“Cami… my parents said someone will come to take me away. They sold me to someone. What should I do?”

Camille stopped walking, stunned.

“Éloise… what? No. You can come to my house, okay? I won’t let anyone touch you.”

“I can’t,” Éloise whispered.

“Then what are you going to do?” Camille asked, genuinely frightened.

Éloise took a deep breath. “I’ll think of something.”

“Sit down first,” Camille said, dragging her toward a bench on the side of the road.

They sat. Camille held Éloise’s hands tightly.

“So? Tell me.”

“I’m leaving for another city,” Éloise said quietly. “They have better herbs there. I can work in a store, sell my medicines. I want to live freely, Cami. That’s the only way. I’ll come meet you sometimes.”

Camille nodded slowly. “I can’t stop you… and I think it’s best for you.”

“I’m going tonight,” Éloise said firmly. “So no one notices. By morning, I’ll be far away.”

“Okay,” Camille whispered. “But be careful. There are magical creatures outside the town.”

“I know. Don’t worry.”

“Do you have enough money to survive alone for a few days?” Camille asked.

“Yeah. I do.”

Éloise smiled. “You’re the best, Cami. I’ll miss you so much.”

“I’ll miss you too. And whenever you need help, just think about me,” Camille said warmly.

Éloise laughed. “What are you, a magical creature? Will you run to me if I think about you?”

“Yes,” Camille said seriously.

Éloise blinked. “Really?”

Camille didn’t answer—just smiled.

“Okay then… I’ll think about you,” Éloise said, laughing again.

They stood up.

“Bye, Cami!” Éloise waved, running backward as she headed home.

“Bye, Elo!” Camille called after her.

Creature War

For generations, magical creatures—half human, half animal—had been hunted by humans. They could shift into full human or full animal forms, and their magic made them feared across every kingdom.

Whenever a creature was discovered inside a town, the humans burned it alive.

The war between them had lasted for years, and no one knew when—or if—it would ever end.

A Handsome guy I met he kissed me

Éloise walked back toward her home, clutching her bag of medicines close to her chest. On the way, she noticed a small crowd gathered at the corner of the road—people whispering loudly, arguing about something.

What’s happening there?

She took a few steps closer, then sighed.

“Maybe they’re just talking as usual…” she murmured and turned away.

She unlocked her door and stepped inside.

“I should take only a few things with me. This house… isn’t mine anymore anyway,” Éloise whispered, tears filling her eyes.

She quickly packed her clothes into one small bag. In the kitchen, she searched for food but found almost nothing.

“Great… they probably took everything with them,” she muttered, holding a packet of stale biscuits.

She packed whatever was left—biscuits, bread crumbs, and a little fruit.

One bag for clothes, one bag for food.

“It’s time to leave, Éloise,” she told herself firmly.

She stepped outside, looked around—no one was there.

She locked the door and hid the key in the same secret place she used since childhood. Her parents would find it eventually.

Then she slipped quietly down the dark road.

She walked for a long time. The sky darkened, the forest thickened, and eerie noises echoed through the trees. She held her lamp tightly, fear creeping into her steps.

“I need a place to rest…” she whispered.

A small bar appeared near the edge of the woods. The lantern lights flickered warmly, so she walked inside.

The place was crowded—people entering and leaving constantly.

Strange… there was no one on the road a moment ago.

People stared at her as she stepped in.

Éloise felt her cheeks warm in embarrassment.

“H-hi…” she said softly with a polite smile.

A girl approached her immediately.

“Come here, sit with me,” she said gently.

Éloise followed her and sat on a stool near the counter.

“What’s your name?” the girl asked.

“My name is Éloise.”

“Oh, nice name! I’m Isabe. This bar belongs to me and my husband,” she said cheerfully.

“Oh… okay,” Éloise replied.

“Sit here, I’ll get you something to drink.”

Éloise nodded.

Then her eyes fell on a boy performing magic at the center of the room.

Everyone seemed charmed by his tricks and his smooth words.

Éloise smiled to herself.

“He’s… pretty handsome,” she admitted quietly.

The boy looked at her immediately—like he had heard her thoughts.

He jumped off the table and walked straight toward her.

“Did you just fall in love with me, my lady?” he said dramatically, bowing.

Éloise burst into laughter.

“No, not a chance. I don’t randomly fall for strangers.”

“Oh? Do you even have a heart, Miss Stranger?”

“Yeah, I do. Just not for you—or anyone else.”

“Hmm.” He grinned. “What’s your name?”

“Éloise.”

He sat beside her, very close.

“Well… I’m Lucien.”

He held her hand to kiss it, but she pulled it away quickly.

He smirked.

“You’re not like others. Do you know that?”

“What’s special about me? Why did you say that suddenly?” she asked curiously.

“Nothing much. I just… felt it. I can tell by your face—you’re meant for something big.”

Éloise smiled shyly.

“Is that so? Can you tell me more?”

“No, I won’t,” he said with a mysterious wink.

Éloise laughed.

But before she could speak again—

The Attack

Two men stormed inside, shouting.

“We heard there’s a magical creature here! Is it true?!”

The bar went silent instantly.

Everyone froze.

The men were armed—guns pointed straight at the crowd.

Éloise stood up in fear.

Lucien grabbed her wrist.

“Stay behind me.”

“Okay…” she whispered.

The men yelled again, threatening to kill everyone. People screamed and scattered. Chairs fell, glasses shattered.

Lucien pulled Éloise along.

“Come. Now!”

She grabbed her bags and followed him through the chaos.

They reached a back door—but it was stuck.

The space was tiny.

They stood so close Éloise could hear Lucien’s heartbeat.

He looked down at her.

She looked up at him.

Their faces were inches apart.

“You’re pretty gorgeous, Miss Éloise,” he whispered.

“Yeah, I know,” she replied boldly.

Lucien smirked, slid an arm around her waist—

—pulled her close—

—and kissed her.

A deep, breathless kiss.

Éloise’s mind went blank.

She kissed him back, her hands gripping his shirt.

They forgot the danger, forgot the shouting behind them.

The door suddenly creaked open—

And both of them fell out onto the ground.

Lucien laughed softly.

“See you soon, Miss Éloise.”

He leaned down, kissed her one last time—

And by the time she looked up…

He had vanished.

Creatures in the Dark

Éloise grabbed her bags and ran.

The forest shook with distant noises—heavy footsteps, wings flapping, animal roars.

She stopped suddenly.

A group of creatures ran past her—half horse, half human.

“A magical creature…?” she whispered.

She stared in shock.

A horse with a human’s upper body galloped past her.

Fear took over.

She turned and ran toward her town.

She tripped, fell, her bags rolling ahead.

She picked them up and kept running.

Up ahead, flames burned bright—humans were fighting creatures.

One creature was thrown into the fire.

“They’re attacking…” Éloise whispered, horrified.

She ran faster.

When she finally reached the town, chaos had already begun.

Creatures had captured some humans, tying them up.

Éloise hid behind a wall—

But someone grabbed her from behind.

“Ah—! Let me go!” she screamed.

They dragged her forward and forced her to sit with the others.

She struggled.

“Hey! Leave me!”

But no one listened.

Her escape had turned into a nightmare.

“Burn them all alive!”

A deep voice roared from the shadows as magical creatures surrounded the area.

Humans screamed in panic, lines of fear running through the crowd.

Eloise stepped forward, shaking but brave.

“Let us go! We didn’t burn anyone—go find the one who did!” she cried.

A creature with glowing eyes glared at her.

“Humans are all the same. Take them.”

Creatures began pushing people forward, separating men and women.

Someone lit a torch just to threaten them, not to burn—only fear, not harm.

People cried, holding onto each other.

Eloise’s heart broke.

Her dreams… her freedom… her future…

All slipping away.

“My parents never wanted me to be happy… and now when I finally have a chance to live, you want to take it too?”

She burst into tears.

Suddenly—

BANG!

A gunshot echoed through the whole street.

She is mine from now on

Creatures instantly backed away, not touching anyone.

Humans holding weapons stepped forward carefully, arguing among themselves about what to do.

Eloise tried to stand, but someone running past slammed into her.

Her head hit the ground hard.

Everything blurred.

Warm blood slipped down her temple.

People rushed past her, too busy running for safety to notice.

Her vision went dark.

A tall creature rushed to her side, lifting her.

He held her hand up and her entire body lying on the ground.

“Come out!” he shouted at the humans firing.

Everyone who is hiding come out you all,

“We have your people too. If you shoot again, you will lose everything.”

Both sides froze.

Eloise was unconscious blood dripping from her head.

A tense silence.

Then—

a sharp wind

a shadow crossing the sky

and an enormous eagle swooped down.

It landed near Eloise and transformed —

It was a familiar figure

Into Camille.

This is the same girl who used to live in our town.

This girl is also a creature.

Everyone started talking quietly to each other.

Her voice trembled with rage.

“Leave her! NOW.”

The creature immediately released Eloise.

Camille knelt, lifting Eloise’s head into her lap.

Her hands shook as she tore a piece of her own dress to stop the bleeding.

“Elo… get up. I’m here. I told you I’d come.”

“Wak...up elo.”

“Her head is bleeding badly.”

She looked around — chaos everywhere, humans and creatures both fighting in confusion.

“We can’t stay here,” Camille whispered.

“She can’t go home anymore… and I also can’t stay in this town.”

We have to take her with us,

Camille said,

A creature turned to her,

But we cannot trust her, she is a human being,

We cannot take him with us.

Camille looks up at him

But Eloise is not like everyone else, she's nice,

Camille explain to everyone.

A voice from behind called out,

I believe you Camille.

“Camille, we’re taking that girl with us. She will be safe.”

But remember this girl is your responsibility, you have to take care of the rest.

A tall creature girl said.

Camille nodded.

“Fine.

But someone needs to take her straight to the palace. She needs help.”

Her head is bleeding badly,

“But she’s a human,” someone argued again.

Camille stood up straight, her eagle eyes glowing.

“Eloise is not like those humans. Trust me. She’s kind—she’s different.”

I beleive you Camille, the other creature girl agreed to Camille.

The creatures hesitated… then agreed.

They were all talking to each other and all the humans were watching them,

One man says while giving a gun to another man „Shoot him,”

Everyone is talking now, no one is paying attention here.

“Otherwise we will die,”

That big and black horse, he seems to be the leader of all of them, shoot him first.

“But I can't shoot him ”and that person gives him the gun back.

But you have to do it,

That person force him to do this.

why don't you do this, Why are you telling me this, you should go and do it yourself.

they both says while fighting on it,

And everyone starts looking at them “keep the gun down” a creature says

And both men get scared and bury their gun in the ground.

Don't try to be too smart in front of us, a creature said.

At that moment—

hooves thundered.

A beautiful white horse sprinted toward them, glowing softly in the dusk.

Everyone was looking at the beautiful white horse who is coming towards them.

Camille smiled lightly.

She knew who it was.

“Come here lucien,”

She shouts while looking at him.

Lucien runs towards her,

The horse transformed into a tall man with a royal aura—

dark hair, sharp jawline, broad shoulders.

Lucien.

He dropped to one knee beside Eloise.

Can you take her to the palace,

She is my best friend here, and she is not like other humans, Camille said to lucien.

His voice softened.

“I know her. We met earlier… and she is kinda my type.”

He chuckled faintly.

“She’s mine from now on.”

Camille rolled her eyes,

“Just take her safely. She’s unconscious.”

Lucien nodded.

“I’ll take her to the palace. You all handle the mess here.”

Leave all this and take everyone back to the palace

And make sure that everyone is fine and no one should be left behind while you take everyone with you and after coming, come and meet me.

He said in a ordering tone.

A creature stood beside them and one of them comes towards them and said,

"Prince Lucien,"

And he bowed deeply.

You are taking this human to the palace

Lucien replies in yes.

But she is a human your majesty

And what if this is something like a plan of all these town peoples,

To learn about our palace or about our plans what will we do then

Everyone was listening to him.

He lifted Eloise gently into his arms,

It's my responsibility you don't have to worry about this.

Lucien replied his eyes getting darker as he takes a step forward,

Yeah and besides I have a better explanation then yours so let us do what we are doing

Camille said from behind.

No one said anything just went silent.

Lucein go to the palace and take care of her,

I'll be back by the morning okay,

He nodded and take some steps back and said you don't have to worry anymore she is with me from now, and then transformed back into a majestic white horse.

Eloise lay across his back, her hair brushing the wind.

Everyone else bowed in front of him as he is about to leave.

Camille called after him:

“You got attached too fast… but good for you both.”

Lucien sped away—

so fast that within seconds

he vanished into the distant road

like a streak of white light.

The fight behind them slowly faded…

and the night finally began to quiet.
