What is the Omegaverse?

The following information on the omegaverse was not written by me, I took it off the internet and changed it up a bit (I'm a little lazy...)

Omegaverse is a AU(alternate universe) in which males can get pregnant. In this system, there are three main roles: Alpha, Beta, and Omega.

How do you know which you are?

First, at birth, the doctors will announce the gender(male or female). In some verses, you can pay to have a test done to determine whether the baby is an Alpha, Beta, or Omega. In others, you just have to wait until they are about 12-24 years old to find this out. So in a way, you have two genders. The male/female gender and the Alpha,Beta,Omega gender.

What do the three roles do?

Alpha

The Alphas are the more aggressive ones out of everyone. They are the larger and stronger ones, the dominate ones in bed. The females are different from the males. They have a small chance of getting pregnant at all, but they can impregnate. Since she has a very small chance of actually conceiving a child, her womb would be smaller or not even there at all. In some verses, she does go through some stages in pregnancy to help her Omega.

Betas

Betas are the normal, everyday guy. They can still breed with other Betas, but it's best they don't breed with Omegas because great difficulties would rise during heat (plus it might be impossible to get an omega pregnant but that depends on how the writer chooses to create their story). With a female and male Beta, they can reproduce that way. Sometimes even a female Alpha and a female Beta would be able to reproduce.

Omegas

Omegas are the softer and more gentle of these roles. They are the nurturing parents who raise their children and they are the only ones in here who can get pregnant besides Beta females.

The female Omegas use their systems as normal, getting pregnant that way and then nurturing the child like they should. But for the males, it is very different. All Omegas go through heats, it all depends on the author how often they go into heats. During this time, they are most fertile. But the pre-heat is what the males have to go through. Omegas are the smaller ones with less muscles. They love to take care of children and all that parenting stuff.

Are there other ways to tell the difference between the three main roles?

There is a way that is much simpler to tell apart the main three. You give them a doll as a child and observe how they treat and take care of the doll.

Alpha

Alphas would most likely carry their doll everywhere with them, growling at anyone who threatened to touch it or even come too close to it. The protectiveness of the doll shows that they are a possible Alpha. Of course, they would leave the doll aside when the time to fight came.

Beta

Betas would most likely treat the doll like any three-year-old child would. They would probably let it get dirty and get snot and food crumbs on it. They would also lose it somewhere on accident.

Omega

Omegas would be loving and caring with their dolls, as if they were small children. They would make sure to "feed"them, bathe them, and do everything as if they were real children. They would never leave their dolls alone and carry them everywhere, making sure to be gentle with them and never leaving them alone.

What is heat?

A heat is the time when the Omega is most fertile and ready to mate, or just hide away until the heat is over.If they have an Alpha mate, they will never leave their side unless they need to get their Omega food or water. During these heats, the hormones in an Omega go all crazy. A strong scent is released during the heats, causing the Alphas to smell it and chase after the Omega. Some public buildings have small rooms in their basements for any Omegas who suddenly fall into the heat and need help.

How does pregnancy work?

Pregnancy is about the same as in the real world. For Betas at least. For the Omegas, everything sort of changes and flips their world around especially one who has never had a child before.The Omegas will most likely be happy about having a child. The Alpha will become more and more protective of not just their Omega but also the small child growing inside of the Omega.

Where do they mate?

It all depends on the setting of the story and how cruel or nice the Alpha could be. The Omega may build a nest in a closet or small room to mate there. They may even mate in public places or in a car or something. It really all depends on what you are writing or where you are at in the story.

Rut

Rut is the alphas version of a heat, except the alpha is highly aggressive and dominant during this. It is brought on when an omega triggers it through their heat, however it can happen naturally as shown in some omega fics.

In the case for this novel an Alpha's rut will happen naturally.

POV Hunter

I watch as he.. Hugs him. I never knew this is how it felt to get your heart broken. Why couldn't you choose me instead?! I look good, I've taken care of you in the past and even LIED for you... After spending your life so far with ME, you still choose him. Who am I kidding?! He's an alpha! He would never go for a male beta. That's not how it works.

"Congratulations on getting together!" I say to them, putting on a fake smile. I want to be happy. How can I? The love of my life just got taken away from me like it was nothing. "I wish you happy years ahead!" You might wonder why I say it as if they got engaged (which they didn't), well it's because they basically are. Grey is the type of guy to commit to something for as long as he possibly can. As for Danny? Not to be mean or anything but he's spoiled, probably wouldn't let Grey go even if he didn't want him anymore. That's the kind of omega he is.

"I'm so thankful you approve of our relationship Hunter!" Grey knows his family doesn't mind who he marries. The only person who's opinion really matters is his best friends. Me.

"Why does HE need to approve of our relationship babe?" He stares at his alpha then at me before saying "Oh jeez! I didn't mean to sound rude..." I mean I know he means well. I smile at him, he gives me an apologetic look. He is spoiled but at least he realises when he's being rude.

"It's fine, I've known you long enough to tell what you actually mean when you say stuff," Well... I guess this is my life from now on. Only 1 and a half years till college, then I'm free... From them at least.

POV Hunter

It's been 3 months. I've been doing my best to avoid them but... How can someone just forget the love of their life?

"Mother please let me switch schools!!" I practically beg while on my knees. "I can't stand it here!" I grab her hand and show her my puppy dog eyes. "Hunter quit it, I'm not going to let you change schools just because the boy you like is dating someone else! I love you sweetie but this is too much," she replies to me, "Just stick with your bother at school, this will all blow over soon," I sigh and get up. Guess I really am stuck in hell now. "Sweetie, you've been begging me to let you switch schools for almost 3 months now... Please... Just get over this..." She frowns at me, in which I respond to with a slight nod and a small, pathetic smile.

I walk outside and hop in our car "What did mom say?" I look over at my brother sitting next to me in the drivers seat "It could of been better..." I respond. My brother gives me a look of sympathy then starts to drive. He's a year older than me and he's also the first alpha in our family for a while. He's always been luckier than anyone else in the family, even in the love department... "Well you can't keep avoiding him forever, he's your best friend!" I stare blankly towards the front of the car, ignoring that statement.. Everyone in my family keeps telling me that...

After what felt like forever I finally get out of my brothers car and enter my school. Nothing out of the ordinary every happens to me here, I'm just an average person after all. I head over to my locker to grab my books. "Hey Hunt.." I look towards the voice, expecting to see an upset Grey- To my surprise it's someone else.

"Jordan-?" We stand there in silence for a moment, just staring at each other. Jordan doesn't seem like the social type, however being born as an alpha, looking as good as he does, he's obviously popular. "Do you wanna sit together at lunch-?" I turn back towards my locker and slam the door.

"Look, if you're trying to make me look like a fool or mess around with me I'm not going to fall for it." I start walking away as I feel my hand get grabbed. I jerk it away and give Jordan a pissed look. "What the f*ck do you want from me dude?" He just looks at me, silently for a moment before finally speaking up. "Sorry for grabbing you.. You just seemed like a genuine guy... I only wanted to be friends," I blink a few times then responding "Out of everyone at school, why me?" I notice his face turn a little red as he coughs.

"I already said- You seem like a genuine guy... And you're finally no longer hanging out with that Grey fellow," he looks off down the hallway, something, or more likely in this case, someone catches his attention. "If I may ask, why is that?" My eyes shift to the floor. Most people don't exactly approve of a relationship between a male alpha and beta. It's not like I ever had that kind of relationship with Grey.. But... Even just crushes like this could be considered unacceptable. "We just drifted apart... That's all." I pause for a moment, thinking of what to say next. "If you actually wanna sit with me at lunch I won't stop you." I walk away from him, I mean that really is useless, we have most classes together. Thank god we don't sit near each other in any of them.

"Hey Hunter, do you have a spare pen I can borrow?" I look towards the closest thing I have to a friend right now, the kid who sits next to me in almost all my classes. Jace. He's quite interesting for a beta, he tries to act more mature and manly then everyone else. Don't know how that results in him getting bullied occasionally but I honestly don't care. It's probably cause he's weak and underweight. "What happened to your pen?" He just looks at me. "I lost it at home somewhere," I sigh and hand over a spare pen. This dude can be annoying at times, like really annoying. I look towards the front of the class, noticing Danny passing a note to his friend who happens to sit next to Jordon.

"He's a pretty omega, isn 't he?" I turn back to Jace. "Who? Danny or his friend?" "I personally think Adam is cuter than Danny but I guess he's cute too," Oh, I wouldn't have guessed he had a thing for an omega- Actually I didn't even know he liked boys- "Do you think Adam is dating Jordan or something? Why are they so close?" Looking at how close they are there's a possibility. "Who knows, Jordan doesn't seem like the type to date people," Jace shrugs and we go on with the lesson.

After the first few periods it's finally lunch, I wonder if Jordan will actually sit next to me- No! I don't care, I hope he doesn't. I don't like the guy anyways, he's too... Antisocial-? I guess... I mean that's just how he comes off to everyone... I don't know.. I pull out my sandwich and sit in my usual spot under a tree. I start eating while I wait to see if Jordan is actually gonna sit next to me. Just as I take my third bit into the sandwich someone taps my shoulder, with the turn of my gaze I see a smiling Jordan, crouched down, holding two small bottles of chocolate milk- My favorite flavor-

"Hey Hunt, sorry for the wait.. I got some chocolate milk to make it up to you honey-" He let's out a big cough and turns red, "Hunter! I-I mean Hunter!" Wait did he call me honey? As in the name you would call someone you have an intimate relationship with-? I kinda sit there for a momentin a daze. "Why'd you call me honey?" He looks away, still red. "I- Sorry.." He gets up to in order to move next to me. "I didn't mean to call you that to your face-" To my face?! Does that mean he refers to me as honey in other places?!

"Thanks for letting me sit with you," he says, revealing to me a cute smile. I mean, it's not like you gave me much of an option, you probably would've grabbed me again if I said no.

Yeah uh- Sorry if it's bad or boring- Like I've previously stated I'm bad with words lol. I also want to apologize if the story is going too slow, if the chapters too short or something like that- Idk. Anyways here's a character introduction for you :)
