Burhaan
The room was almost dark—
not completely, because a faint light slipped in from one corner.
It was the soft glow of a table lamp resting on the study table.
There, a man sat on the chair with his head bowed on the desk.
Even in sleep, there were creases on his forehead,
as if he was trapped in deep thoughts or some unspoken tension.
The condition of the room itself revealed his distress.
Books were scattered all over the study table,
papers lay tossed in every direction,
and the room looked utterly disordered.
Even the bedsheet on the bed wasn’t properly spread.
That man, exhausted, was taking a restless nap—
his hair messy, falling over his eyes,
adding even more to his troubled state.
And yet, even in this disheveled condition,
he looked inexplicably handsome.
Just then, his phone began to ring.”
He lifted his head with unhurried ease, as though the ringing phone had interrupted a sleep he was never truly resting in.
Maybe he had sensed this call even before it came.”
He received the call and switched it to speaker, rubbing both hands over his face in an attempt to pull himself fully awake.

Sorry bro , for bothering you.)
Saif reyaaz (ml frnd)
Why are you pushing yourself so hard?
Why don’t you rest a little?
Saif reyaaz (ml frnd)
Mujhe yaqeen hai tum kr loge

(Anyway...tell me about yourself
You had an exam yesterday, didn't you? How did it go?)
Burhaan is in the fourth year of MBBS, and he wants to do his post-graduation abroad.
He also wishes to pursue clinical research, which means he needs admission into top universities , the one that require a very high GPA.
That’s why he doesn’t want even the slightest gap in his hard work.
He still couldn’t understand why Burhaan was working so hard, even though he lacked nothing in life.
Saif didn’t push him any further.
Instead, he continued talking about his day , about the exam, about the usual things.
He knew his friend was the reserved kind,
who never shared anything openly.
And then he ended the call.
So… if anyone is curious about Burhan’s age, he is twenty in this chapter.
Thank you for reading . 🫶

Ayesha ali
In a small room, where there was a single bed, a tiny table beside it, and a study desk in front of it piled with books…
Next to the wardrobe stood a bookshelf holding a few more books.
On the bed lay a girl, asleep, as if she had forgotten all the worries of the world.
Looking at her sleeping face, no one could imagine how much the world had exhausted and wounded her.
As peaceful as she looked, that kind of peace had never existed in her life.
She still wasn’t at peace.
She had never known what it felt like to sleep with a calm heart.
This was merely the rest that comes after exhaustion… something that can never be called peace.
She didn’t dream, and she didn’t want to dream either
because whenever dreams came, they brought a storm of dark, painful emotions with them.
She had fallen asleep after the morning prayer,
because she hadn’t slept properly during the night…
When suddenly, she heard a sharp and piercing voice.
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Ayesha!
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Aayeshaaa!!
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Kha mat gyi ....
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Oooho ... To maharaani abhi tak soyi hui hai
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Kaam kon karega ...haan!
Subuhi, Ayesha’s aunt, used to wake her up every day with the same taunts.
Ayesha lived in her grandfather’s house with her Nana, Nani, her aunt, and her aunt’s daughter, Zoya Khurshid.
Zoya was the same age as Ayesha.
Ayesha had no parents, which is why she stayed with her mother side relatives.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Uff ! Yrr.. Ye phir se shuru ho gyi.
(Uff! There she goes again.)
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Aa rhi hoon mami.
(I am coming, aunty)
[said in low, reluctant voice]
Ayesha Khan(fl)
I have an exam today, so i slept late last night ... That's why I didn't wake up on time.
Ayesha said, trying to hide her frustration and speaking as calmly as she possibly could.
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Jada bahane mat banao ...
Aur aakar nashta banao
(Stop making excuses and come make breakfast,)
Subuhi snapped.
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Pata nhi padh likh kr kya hi kr legi
(don’t know what you’ll ever achieve with all this studying.
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Na jaane ye ladki kb is ghar se jayegi
Kb iski shaadi hogi
Aur humri isse jaan chutegi
Maan to thi hi badqirdaar ... Khoon to usi ka hi hai
Naa jaane kab ye ladki hm sb ka muh kaala karade kya pta .
Meine kaha tha inse ki naa jaane de ise college
Kya pta college me jaa kr kya krti hogi kya nhi.
Lekin meri is ghar me koi sunta hi kon hai .
Naa jane wo kon si ghari thi jo ye manhoos hmare matthe pad gyi.
(God knows when this girl will finally leave this house…
when she’ll get married…
and when we’ll be free of her.
Her mother was of bad character anyway
she has the same blood.
Who knows when this girl will end up disgracing all of us.
I told them not to let her go to college.
Who knows what she does there and what she doesn’t.
But who listens to me in this house?
God knows what unfortunate moment it was
when this wretched girl fell on our heads.)
Subuhi kept muttering all these things to herself,
not caring that Ayesha might be hearing every single word.
She knew Ayesha could hear her.
In fact, she was saying all of this for her,
because at that moment, only Ayesha could hear her voice.
This was Subuhi’s routine —
she found something cruel to say every single day.
After saying all this, she went to wake Zoya up.
Ayesha had grown used to it.
She couldn’t do anything about it,
and she didn’t want to argue and make things worse.
She knew that the day she spoke even a single word in reply,
her aunt would create chaos and turn the whole house upside down.
She had become so used to this bitterness
that it barely affected her anymore.
Hearing such things about her mother
didn’t hurt her anymore either.
She HATED that women ... her mother.
Subuhi got angry seeing Zoya sleeping so peacefully
especially knowing that she had an exam today,
and judging by the condition of her room,
it didn’t seem like she had studied at all last night.
[Ayesha always scored good marks,
while Zoya could barely pass.
In the early days, when Ayesha had first come into that house,
Ayesha and Zoya used to live like friends.
But once Ayesha started going to school
and her marks began to improve,
Subuhi and Bilal Khurshid
(Ayesha’s aunt and uncle)
began scolding Zoya,
constantly comparing them by saying things like:
“Ayesha doesn’t even have parents,
she doesn’t get the facilities you get…
and still her marks are always good.”
They would taunt her repeatedly,
and it slowly became a routine.
Since then, Zoya had grown jealous of Ayesha
and had started to hate her.
She didn’t miss a single chance
to make Ayesha’s life difficult.
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Zoya..Zoya!
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Utho, tumhara exam hai na Aaj.
(Get up, you have an exam today.)
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
How many times have I told you to study?
Get good marks in your exams.
And look at that girl, God knows what she does that she always scores so well.
Why don’t you?
She said all this while folding the clothes scattered around the room.
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
And look at her, she wins a scholarship every single time.
And you…”
Zoya khurshid (fl cousin)
Oh-ho! Uff, Mom, will you please stop talking for a moment?”
*frustrated*
Zoya khurshid (fl cousin)
And which scholarship are you talking about, huh?
The same one whose money you always take from her…
saying that her living and study expenses are too much?
Even though you very well know that Dadu pays for all her studies,
every single penny.
Even her personal expenses.”
*mocking*
subuhi khurshid (fl aunt)
Jyada dimaag mat chalao.
Aur fresh hokar nashte ke liye aa jao niche.
(don't act too smart
Freshen up and come downstairs for breakfast)
She said this while walking out .
Anyone who is interested in ayesha age she is 18 in this chapter...
Plz give feedback in comments..
Byeee. 🧁 s
From what should I call you 🤔
Ayesha and zoya
......
Ayesha sat in her room—
the only place where she could be alone with herself,
the only corner of the world that gave her a little peace.
Today, her graduation exam had finally ended.
The exam had gone well.
Books had become her entire life.
She was good at studying; her marks were always high.
How could they not be?
She had nothing to distract her…
nothing in her life that she could feel drawn to or fond of.
She didn’t know how to feel about her life.
It felt… meaningless.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Right now, I have nothing to do.
Maybe I do… but I just don’t want to do anything.
Now that I’m sitting free and looking back,
I realize it has been nine years since I came here.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
When I first came here,
Mami never liked having me around.
And Mama…. (uncle)
To this day, I still don’t know what he truly thinks of me.
He neither scolds me nor says anything at all.
I’m here only because of my Nana and Nani.
It was they who educated me and made me capable of standing on my own.
It has been two years since Nani passed away,
and Nana Jaan’s health isn’t good anymore.
So much time has passed… hasn’t it, Baba?
Nine years have gone by since you left me, Baba… (papa)
She looked up at the sky as she spoke,
her eyes filled with tears.
She didn’t know where her father was now,
but talking to the sky always made her feel closer to him.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Kitna arsa guzar gya ... Hai naa baba.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Baba… I’ve learned so much in these years.
You know, I even got a scholarship…
And my graduation will soon be completed
only the result is left now.
I don’t know what I want to do next.
...
I miss you so much.
Now tears were falling from her eyes.
Just then, someone knocked loudly on the door.
Ayesha quickly wiped her tears
and went to open it.
Zoya was standing there…
Zoya was a fashionable girl
the complete opposite of Ayesha.
But there had always been some misunderstandings between them.
Zoya felt that Ayesha looked down on her
and pretended to be innocent in front of everyone.
Because Zoya’s academic marks were never good…
Mami would scold her all the time.
And as punishment, Ayesha too had to do all the household work alone.
But Zoya believed she was being scolded because of Ayesha.
Zoya always thought that if Ayesha had never come here,
her life would have been easier.
Everyone would have loved only her.
Ayesha didn’t particularly like Zoya either.
She always tried her best to avoid her.
In all these years, countless incidents had happened
where Ayesha ended up being scolded because of Zoya’s actions
or something of hers got spoiled because of her.
Over the years, she had come to accept
that their relationship could never be like that of real sisters…
Looking at Zoya’s appearance today,
it was clear she was getting ready to go to another party.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Zoya had had many boyfriends,
even though the house was very strict about such things.
Once, someone even sent her flowers along with a love letter.
Afraid of getting caught, she put the blame on me…
said the letter and the flowers were mine.
That day, I pleaded again and again,
but no one believed me.
Even Uncle banned me from going to college.
And Nana Jaan stopped talking to me altogether.
I stayed locked inside my room the entire day.
That day, I also learned something else
that before my mother’s first marriage,
she had once become pregnant…
and her pregnancy had been aborted.
That was the day I understood
why people used to call my mother ‘bad-charactered.’
And for the first time,
I felt ashamed…
ashamed of being that woman’s daughter.
Not because she was pregnant before marriage.
But because every moment of my life,
people kept reminding me
that I was that woman’s daughter.
Zoya khurshid (fl cousin)
What are you looking at, you bitch?
Zoya snapped, her tone stiff with arrogance and attitude—
sharp, rude, and dripping with contempt.
It seemed as if the very sight of Ayesha
filled her with disgust.
.......
Aaplog ko shoked hone ki zarurat nhi
Ye ese baat krti hai 😒
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Waise tum me dekhne jaisa kuch hai to nhi .
(Not that there’s anything worth looking at in you, anyway.”)
Zoya khurshid (fl cousin)
You..!
she hissed through clenched teeth.
Ayesha Khan(fl)
Anyway, what are you even doing here? It’s so unlike you.
Zoya khurshid (fl cousin)
I don’t enjoy coming to this graveyard either.
Dadu called you.
Go on, go show him that pitiful face of yours…
You’re good at it, aren’t you?
Just then, her phone rang, and without another word, she turned around and left.”
Ayesha began walking toward Khurshid Sahib’s room.
It was unusual..
she usually went to meet him before going to sleep,
never at this hour.
There must have been something important.
Otherwise, he would never call her like this…
and certainly not through Zoya.
What do you think 🤔
Kyu bulaya hai ayesha ko 🤨
