🎄 STORY 1: "Under the Same Mistletoe"
Chapter 1 — Assigned Together Against Their Will
[Company Group Chat — Event Team Thread]
HR_joy
🌟 Announcement! This year’s Christmas Party will be jointly led by Manager Aiden Frost and Team Leader Blake Rivers.
Aiden Hale
This must be a mistake.
Blake Rivers
LMAO same, reject the quest please.
HR_joy
No mistake. Both of you were selected unanimously 😊
Aiden Hale
Unanimously? By who?
Blake Rivers
Probably Satan.
Aiden Frost stood in front of his office window, jaw clenched so tight it could cut glass. He prided himself on efficiency, structure, perfection — and above all, stability. Blake Rivers was the opposite of stability. Blake was chaos dressed in ripped jeans, glitter-stained fingers, and the loudest laugh on the 10th floor
They’d been clashing since high school — debate club rivals, competing for student council, arguing over literally anything. They didn’t hate each other, but they also didn’t not hate each other. Their dynamic was an ongoing verbal fistfight wrapped in unresolved… something.
Aiden hated unresolved things.
His computer pinged again.
Private Chat — Blake → Aiden
Blake Rivers
So. Looks like you’re stuck with me again, Frostbite 😏💬
Aiden Hale
Do not call me that.
Blake Rivers
Why? It suits your charmingly frozen personality.
Aiden Hale
I prefer working with someone competent.
Blake Rivers
Wow okay, starting early this year.
Meet at the Event Hall at 3?
Blake Rivers
Wear something festive.
At 3 PM, Aiden arrived precisely on time — only to find Blake balancing on a ladder, stringing lights while humming off-key to Mariah Carey.
Blake Rivers
“About time, Frostbite!” called down, grin wide, eyes bright.
Aiden Hale
“We said 3. It is exactly 3.”
Blake Rivers
“Yeah,” said, winking.
Blake Rivers
“And emotionally, you’re already late.”
Aiden pinched the bridge of his nose.
This was going to be hell.
But outside, snow started falling softly.
And for the first time, the universe whispered: You two have no idea what’s coming.

⭐ Chapter 2 — Terms of War
Blake hopped off the ladder with the kind of unnecessary flourish that made Aiden want to file a noise complaint.
Aiden Hale
“Careful,” said sharply.
Aiden Hale
“You could’ve fallen.”
Blake Rivers
Smirked. “Awwww, you worried about me?”
Aiden Hale
“No.”
Too fast.
Blake Rivers
Eyebrows lifted.
The event hall was massive — high ceilings, white walls, and the faint smell of cinnamon from the scented diffusers HR insisted on using. Aiden loved empty rooms. They were quiet, controllable.
But with Blake inside it?
Chaos radiated like heat.
Blake moved around the space confidently, like he owned it. Like the lights and ribbons and the entire world bent to his rhythm. Aiden hated people like that — the loud, bright ones who didn’t shrink in big rooms.
Even in high school, Blake had been impossible to ignore.
Aiden Hale
"We need a plan. A schedule. A budget. A supply list."
Blake Rivers
"We need vibes. Energy. Sexy lighting."
Aiden Hale
"Lighting is not “sexy.” It’s functional."
Blake Rivers
"…wow you really ARE the Grinch."
Aiden Hale
"We’re already behind schedule. And stop calling me that."
Aiden Hale
"You’re impossible."
Blake Rivers
"And yet you’re stuck with me for 3 full weeks.
Lucky you."
Aiden exhaled slowly, reminding himself he was an adult, not a teenager losing a debate competition to Blake Rivers again.
He opened his tablet, pulling up spreadsheets — neat, color-coded, perfect. Blake leaned over his shoulder without warning, warm breath brushing Aiden’s cheek.
Aiden stiffened instantly.
Blake Rivers
“Wow,” murmured, staring at the screen.
Blake Rivers
"You still do that thing where everything has a folder inside a folder inside another folder."
Aiden Hale
“Professional,”
Their eyes met.
Too close.
Too warm.
Aiden stepped back, heat rising to his ears.
Aiden Hale
“We are not… doing this,” muttered.
Blake Rivers
Tilted his head. “Doing what?”
Blake Rivers
“So. Frostbite. We need to divide roles.”
Aiden Hale
Cleared his throat.
“Yes. I lead logistics. You lead décor and theme.”
Blake Rivers
Grinned.
“Of course I lead theme. You have the creativity of a filing cabinet.”
Aiden Hale
Glared.
“Someone around here needs to think rationally.”
Blake stepped closer, voice dropping low — teasing, but something darker under it.
Blake Rivers
“And someone needs to make you loosen up.”
This project was already a disaster.

🌟CHAPTER 3 — “You Call That a Plan?”
The meeting room smelled like burnt coffee and stress. Aiden stood in front of the digital board, arms crossed, tapping a pen against the folder like it personally offended him.
The team sat awkwardly, waiting, scared to move, scared to breathe. Because Aiden, notoriously collected, was dangerously close to snapping — and everyone knew his "calm silence" was ten times worse than yelling.
The door finally banged open.
Blake stumbled in with a half-zipped jacket, glitter in his hair, and holding three rolls of wrapping paper like he’d robbed a craft store on his way.
Blake Rivers
(panting) “SORRY. I died. Then came back. Long story.”
Aiden Hale
(flat) “You’re late.”
Blake Rivers
“Time is an illusion. Christmas spirit is not.”
Aiden inhaled through his nose like he was calculating Blake’s murder sentence.
But Blake plopped into the seat next to him anyway, leaning way too close.
Blake Rivers
“Whatcha planning?”
Aiden Hale
“A party. Something you would know if you arrived on time.”
Blake peeked at Aiden’s neat, color-coded outline.
Blake Rivers
“THIS— this looks like instructions for assembling a bomb. Aiden. Babe. Sweetheart. We need FUN. Not a hostage situation.”
Aiden blinked slowly at the pet names.
He absolutely ignored the warm drop of heat that shot straight through his spine.
Aiden Hale
“Do not call me—”
Blake Rivers
“So! Step one: ditch your serial-killer list. Step two: balloons. Confetti cannons. A hot chocolate fountain. Maybe a giant inflatable reindeer—”
Aiden Hale
“Absolutely not.”
Blake Rivers
“You scared of reindeer now?”
Aiden’s jaw tightened.
This was going to be the longest month of his life.
Blake Rivers
“Look, Frostbite, we can fix this. Together.”
Then Blake reached over and tapped Aiden’s hand — a quick, unconscious gesture.
Their team stared silently like they were watching someone approach a bear.
Blake didn’t notice. He was too busy doodling reindeer antlers on the meeting notes.
Finally, Aiden cleared his throat.
Aiden Hale
“Fine. You want to ‘fix’ this? Come to my office after lunch."
Aiden Hale
"We’ll… combine ideas."
Blake Rivers
“Wait. A one-on-one meeting? You and me? Alone?”
Aiden regretted everything.
Aiden Hale
“It is a work meeting.”
Blake Rivers
(grinning) “Sure, boss.”
Aiden looked away, ears slightly red.
Blake absolutely caught it.
The moment he left the room, the team collectively exhaled like they’d been underwater.
Someone whispered:
“Are they gonna kill each other… or kiss?”
