I'm Aria, a 21-year-old medical student at the University of the Philippines. My life is filled with books, exams, and clinical rotations. But despite all of this, I feel like something is missing.
One day, while walking on campus, I saw him. A guy with eyes that sparkled like stars in the night. His smile gave me butterflies in my stomach. I didn't know what happened, but I suddenly became awkward and stumbled on my own feet.
"Ah, sorry!" I said, getting up and gathering my books.
He smiled and helped me pick up my books. "It's okay, you're not hurt, right?" he asked.
I shook my head and smiled. "No, I'm fine. Thanks."
As we walked towards the library, he introduced himself. He was Liam, an architecture student. We talked about our dreams and interests. I felt a connection between us, a connection I couldn't explain.
When we parted ways, I felt like something had shifted in my life. I didn't know what would happen in the future, but I knew my life would never be the same.
In the following days, I saw Liam on campus. We talked about our lives and shared stories about our families. I saw that Liam had a big heart, and I knew I wanted to get to know him better.
But despite all of this, there's something holding me back. A secret I don't know if I should tell him...
Here's the revised Chapter 2:
*The Day I Met You*
Chapter 2: Unexpected Encounter
Weeks turned into months, and Liam and I grew closer. We studied together, grabbed coffee, and explored the city. Our conversations flowed effortlessly, and I found myself laughing more than I had in years.
One afternoon, we decided to visit the Rizal Park, enjoying the sunset over Manila Bay. As we walked along the seawall, Liam suddenly stopped and turned to me.
"Aria, can I ask you something?" he asked, his eyes serious.
"Of course," I replied, my heart racing.
"I've really enjoyed getting to know you," he said, his voice low. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out on a date with me?"
My heart skipped a beat. I hadn't expected this. But looking into Liam's hopeful eyes, I couldn't say no.
"Yes," I whispered, feeling a rush of excitement.
Liam's face lit up, and he smiled. "Great! How about dinner at that new restaurant in Makati?"
I nodded, trying to contain my excitement. As we made plans, I couldn't help but wonder what this meant. Was this the start of something special?
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Liam walked me home, our shoulders brushing. The air was charged with a new energy, and I knew things would never be the same.
But little did I know, fate had other plans.
We exchanged phone numbers, and I couldn't wait to see him again. As I watched him walk away, I felt a sense of anticipation I hadn't felt in a long time.
I couldn't help but smile as I typed out a text to my best friend, Mia: "Guess who asked me out on a date?"
Her response was immediate: "WHO?!?!"
I laughed, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. This was it. Something was about to change.
