To Revenge My Mafia Man
CHAPTER 1 “THE MORNING SHE DIDN’T KNOW WOULD RUIN HER LIFE”
CHAPTER 1 “THE MORNING SHE DIDN’T KNOW WOULD RUIN HER LIFE”
Zerrin Liyana
(narrating) The morning smelled like jasmine and disinfectant. My two constants. I tied my hair into a neat braid, letting the long brown-black strands fall like a curtain down my back. White coat. Pink gloss. Stethoscope. And a Fake smile.
Zerrin Liyana
“Good morning, world. Let’s try not to fall apart today.”
Zerrin Liyana
My apartment was tiny but warm, filled with sunlight and plants. The only place where loneliness didn’t echo.

I grabbed my bag and rushed out, heels tapping against the pavement. The city was half-asleep, smog mixing with sunrise.

Then I heard it, Screams. A crowd forming. A car crash in the middle of the road.
BYSTANDER: “Doctor! Anyone, please!”
Zerrin Liyana
I pushed through bodies,
And froze.
Zerrin Liyana
A woman lay unconscious, blood dripping down her forehead. Elegant clothes. Diamond bracelet. Too luxurious for this street.

The screams had faded to panicked murmurs. I focused on the woman, breathing, barely. I used the trauma pack from my bag. She was stable.
Zerrin Liyana
(narrating) The moment I straightened up, a shadow fell over me. The street noise vanished, replaced by a deep, terrifying stillness. It was a presence, too powerful, too cold.
His voice was a low, resonant baritone, a threat woven into silk.
Ehsan Junaid
"You dare put your hands on my family."
Zerrin Liyana
"She's stabilized. I'm a doctor. I saved her life."
He moved with the coiled grace of a predator, his tall body, athletic frame slamming me against a nearby armored car. My white coat wrinkled. His long, scarlet hair swung, brushing my cheek. His almond eyes, colder than the smoggy morning, focused only on the pulse throbbing at my throat.
A dark, mocking laugh, the one I used to hide my fear, escaped me.
Zerrin Liyana
"Tsk, tsk. Not a good first impression, Mr. Junaid. Let me go."
Ehsan Junaid
"You knew my name before I opened my mouth. You're playing a dangerous game, little bird. And I'm starting to remember why I enjoy watching you."

The air in the private wing was thick with the scent of money and bleach. I felt the eyes on me, dark, professional guards in every corner.
(narrating) I was led into a room where Rafail Junaid, the man who controlled half the country's darkness, sat beside his wife. He looked at me with an unsettling appraisal.
Rafail Junaid
"Dr. Liyana. My son is... protective. You handled him well."
Zerrin Liyana
"I was doing my job, sir. I need to get back to the hospital."
He entered, tall and silent, leaning against the doorframe, making escape impossible.
Ehsan Junaid
"You cured her. My father wishes to reward you. Permanently."
Zerrin Liyana
"I don't need a reward, Mr. Junaid."
He took a step closer, his voice dropping.
Ehsan Junaid
"Ah, but you do, Zerrin. Revenge, perhaps? Your parents were murdered when you were seven. Tell me, do you ever wonder who pulled the trigger?"
(narrating) My breath caught. He knew WHAT? My hands clenched. I was trapped.
