He scanned the room, taking in the hierarchy of the academy.
The elite students laughed and chatted with each other, their expensive robes and accessories forming a stark contrast to his own worn out uniform.
He noticed a girl sitting across from him,her hair tied in a simple ponytail her clothes plain and unremarkable.
She looked like a commoner, probably on scholarship.
His mind raced, piecing together possibilities.

*muttering*
"Could she be the female lead?"

*his instincts kicked in and he quickly looked away,not wanting to draw any attention to himself*
"I don't want to get entangled with the main characters, especially not the female lead".
A group of students approached their table,led by a girl with piercing blue eyes.

*sneering*
"Amelia, what are you doing sitting with a waste like him?"

*her eyes darted to Luan, then back to the group*
"I-I was just.."

*snorts*
"Don't waste your time, he's not worth it"
Luan kept his head down, pretending to ignore the exchange.
He sensed Amelia's gaze on him, but he didn't react.
The group walked away, leaving Amelia looking uncomfortable.
Luan kept his head down, he needed to be careful and to keep a low profile and to avoid catching the attention of the important characters.
As he glanced up,he noticed Emilia still sitting there, her expression thoughtful.
The cafeteria was starting to clear out, and Luan decided it was time to make his exit.
He packed up his things and left not looking back.
