Drawn Into You (Taekook)

Chapter 1: The Man I Never Meant To Draw

Jungkook liked the quiet.

His small apartment, tucked above a convenience store, wasn’t much—but it was his. A place where the world stayed outside and his thoughts stayed manageable. Tonight, the only light came from his tablet as he sat cross-legged on the floor, stylus moving steadily across the screen.

Just one more sketch, he thought.

Drawing had always been his escape. Between college classes, part-time work, and a life built entirely on his own, art was the one thing that never failed him. One day, he wanted to publish his own comics—stories where worlds made sense.

The lines on the screen began to form almost on their own.

Broad shoulders.

Sharp jaw.

Dark eyes that felt… too real.

Jungkook frowned. “Huh…?”

He didn’t remember deciding on the details, yet the character felt right. Familiar. Like someone he’d known without ever meeting. Exhaustion crept in before he could question it further.

The stylus slipped from his fingers.

When Jungkook woke up, the apartment felt wrong.

Too quiet.

Too full.

He pushed himself up—and froze.

A man stood a few steps away.

Tall. Dark-haired. Real.

Jungkook’s breath caught. “…What the hell—?”

The man looked just as startled, eyes scanning the unfamiliar room. “…Where am I?” he asked, voice low and confused.

Jungkook’s heart slammed against his ribs. He knew that face. Every sharp line. Every detail.

“…You’re not real,” Jungkook whispered.

The man frowned. “I feel real.”

“That’s impossible,” Jungkook muttered, staring at his trembling hands.

Silence stretched between them.

Then—

“…Did you make me?” the man asked quietly.

Jungkook’s gaze dropped to the tablet still glowing on the floor. The unfinished sketch stared back at him.

“…I drew you,” he admitted.

The man studied him before a faint, unreadable smile curved his lips. “…Then I suppose I belong here now.”

Jungkook’s chest tightened for reasons he couldn’t explain.

“No,” he said softly. “…You belong nowhere.”

The man tilted his head, eyes darkening slightly. “…We’ll see.”

Jungkook didn’t know it yet, but in that moment—between fear and disbelief—his quiet life had already ended.

(A/N:This is my first short story, a short one only, and it's my own work, I didn't copy it from others, I just let chatgpt correct some of my grammatical errors. It's already edited, I have thought about publishing from a long time, but I always forgot about it😅. It has been in my drafts from a long time, my best friend also help me make this story. It's quite angst story, but not much, since I also don't like angst that much. And also again, I didn't copy this from others, it's really my own imaginations, I've been wanting to create this story from my mind from a long time, since I got busy in school I forgot to upload it here. Chapter 2:The One I Brought To Life

Jungkook didn’t sleep that night.

He sat stiffly on the edge of his bed, eyes locked on the stranger who occupied his tiny living room like he belonged there. The man—Taehyung, he had learned—stood near the window, staring out at the city lights with open fascination.

“So,” Taehyung said slowly, turning around. “This world… it’s yours?”

Jungkook flinched. “…No. I just live here.”

Taehyung hummed, clearly amused. “Then you’re my creator, but not a god.”

“That’s not funny,” Jungkook muttered, running a hand through his hair. His heart was still racing, his mind screaming that none of this was real.

Taehyung stepped closer, movements careful, like he was testing the rules of existence. “But I am real, right?”

Jungkook swallowed. “You shouldn’t be.”

Silence fell again, heavier this time.

“…What am I supposed to do?” Jungkook asked quietly.

Taehyung studied him, dark eyes unreadable. “You tell me. I woke up here with nothing—no past, no memories. Just you.”

The words settled deep in Jungkook’s chest.

“I didn’t mean to draw you,” he admitted. “You were just… a character.”

Taehyung smiled faintly. “Yet here I am.”

Something about that smile made Jungkook uneasy. Not fear—something warmer. Something dangerous.

“You can stay here for now,” Jungkook said after a long pause. “Until we figure this out.”

Taehyung’s gaze softened, just a little. “Then I’ll stay,” he replied. “As long as you let me.”

Jungkook didn’t miss the way Taehyung stepped closer than necessary, or how his presence suddenly filled the room.

As Jungkook turned away, his tablet screen flickered once—just once—before going dark.

Neither of them noticed.

Chapter 3: First Glitches of Reality

Life inside the small apartment gradually slipped into a rhythm that felt almost normal—almost.

Taehyung adapted quickly.

Too quickly.

He learned how things worked with quiet intensity, fingers brushing over switches, screens, and objects as if committing the world to memory. Sometimes he asked questions. Sometimes he simply watched. Jungkook noticed everything—and tried not to think about how naturally Taehyung fit into the space.

That afternoon, Jungkook sat at his desk, tablet propped up as he worked. The steady hum of the city outside usually calmed him.

Today, it didn’t.

“Why do you always look so serious when you draw?” Taehyung asked softly.

Jungkook startled as Taehyung leaned over his shoulder, close enough that he could feel his warmth. “D-Don’t sneak up on me like that.”

Taehyung smiled faintly but didn’t move away. His gaze lingered on the screen.

“…That’s me,” he said.

Jungkook froze, stylus hovering midair. “…I didn’t mean to draw you again.”

The figure on the tablet was unmistakable—sharper, clearer, more detailed than before. More alive.

Taehyung studied the image, flexing his fingers slowly. “…When you draw me, I feel different.”

Jungkook’s chest tightened. “…Different how?”

“More solid,” Taehyung replied. “Like I belong here.” His eyes darkened. “But sometimes…”

“…Sometimes what?” Jungkook pressed.

“Sometimes I feel like I could fade,” Taehyung said calmly. “Like I only exist because you’re looking at me.”

Jungkook’s grip tightened around the stylus. “…Don’t say that.”

“I’m not afraid,” Taehyung continued. “I don’t have a past. No memories. Just this place—and you.”

The words hit harder than Jungkook expected.

“…Then stay,” Jungkook said suddenly, standing up. His voice shook, but his resolve didn’t. “I’ll keep drawing you. I won’t let you disappear.”

Taehyung looked at him for a long moment.

Then he smiled.

Not playful.

Not teasing.

Something deeper.

“…You’d really bind me to this world?” Taehyung asked quietly.

“I already am,” Jungkook replied without hesitation.

Taehyung stepped closer, invading his space with deliberate slowness. “Then I suppose I belong to you,” he murmured.

Jungkook’s breath hitched.

The room felt warmer. Heavier.

Outside, the city continued on, unaware.

Inside the apartment, something fragile—and dangerous—had taken root.

The tablet screen flickered once, responding as if it understood.
