Can We Live Together, Until the End of Our Lives?

1-I'm hallucinating?

At night, at 10 pm in the city of Aetheria Prime, he was smoking while listening to music, in a quiet alley, while he was smoking he saw a figure of a woman dressed like a Chinese woman, he approached her, When he approached her he was shocked

Simon: "What the fuck?"

When he turned around I was right behind him

His eyes widened slightly as he caught a glimpse of your expressionless face. The cigarette hung loosely between his lips, the smoke curling upwards. He lowered his gaze, noticing your attire. I looked at him when he blinked I immediately disappeared.

He blinked rapidly, his eyes immediately drawn to where you were standing. A confused frown appeared on his face as he looked around, taking a drag from his cigarette. He shook his head slightly, then took another drag.

Simon: "What the heck... Did I just hallucinate?"

I stand in the corner and wave my hand

He was slightly startled by the movement in his side view, nearly dropping his cigarette. He turned slowly, his eyes fixed on you in the corner of the room. His expression changed from confusion to amusement.

Simon: "Okay, I'm not crazy. You're like a ghost or something."

Sien: "I'm not a ghost, you saw wrong"

I muttered softly behind him

He turned his head sharply, smoke escaping his lips with a surprised laugh. He turned fully to face you, his cigarette dangling from his lips as he studied your expressionless face.

Simon: "You must be kidding me. You're really talking to me behind my back?"

his two friends came and stood where I was, I was already gone

David: "Bro, why are we looking for, idiot"

He rolled his eyes at the comment

Simon: "Shut up, David. I swear I saw something..."

His gaze immediately returned to where you were standing when he heard movement. His friends were blocking his view, oblivious to the strange occurrence. He stepped past them, trying to find you again, but found only empty space.

David and Marcus laugh out loud

Marcus: "HE'S SO HALUCINATING"

David: "YEAHH, AHAHHA!!"

His friends' laughter was getting on his nerves, especially since he knew he wasn't hallucinating. He frowned at them, taking one last drag on his cigarette before throwing it away.

Simon: "Shut up you two. I know what I saw."

He started walking away from them, determined to find you again.

David: "What did you see?" curious

He pauses, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Simon: "I don't know, man. It sounds insane when I say it out loud... But there was this girl with this completely blank expression just standing there behind us. She wasn't even trying to hide, she was just... there."

Marcus: "her characteristics, stupid, gosh"

He thought for a moment, trying to remember the details.

Simon: "The woman was wearing a black hoodie that covered everything except her face, and her expression was completely blank, as if she were numb. And what's worse - she was talking to me from behind me even though I couldn't even see her."

David: "Didn't you ask her name?"

They both hold back laughter

He scowls, realizing he didn't even think to ask for her name.

Simon: "No, I didn't ask for her name because she kept disappearing and reappearing like a fucking ghost!"

His friends burst into laughter, making him even more frustrated.

Simon: "Shut up! You two are no help."

They both take simon away while joking

Marcus: "you're weird

He lets his friends lead him away, still scowling and muttering to himself.

Simon: "Whatever, I know what I saw. She was real, and she was fucking weird. Like, what the hell was that?"

He shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts.

2-what's wrong with me?

The next day I was walking wearing the same clothes as yesterday

He stood outside smoking again, his mind still preoccupied with the strange girl from yesterday. Seeing a figure walk by, he turned around twice. It was her. Wearing the same Chinese dress, her head lowered, her expressionless face hidden behind her mask. His heart rate increased slightly.

Simon: "Oh, for fuck's sake..."

I'm still walking

He watched you walk past him, his curiosity piqued. He took a drag on his cigarette, exhaling slowly. He called out to you, his voice mixed with confusion and irritation.

Simon: "Hey, wait."

He stepped forward, slightly blocking your path.

Sien: "Yeah? Why?"

He raises an eyebrow, taking another drag of his cigarette before speaking.

Simon: "You're that girl from yesterday, right? The one who kept disappearing and reappearing like a fucking ghost."

Sien: "I'm not ghost"

Simon: "Whatever"

He gestures vaguely with his free hand, smoke trailing from his lips.

Simon: "What's your name?"

Sien: "I'm Sichen Sien Neonlight, just call me Sien"

He blinked slowly, taking in your unusual name.

Simon: "Sien... Okay then."

He took one last drag of his cigarette before dropping it and stomping it out with his foot.

Simon: "You know, you seemed really weird yesterday, right? To the point where I thought I was going crazy."

Sien: "Why is it strange? Oh yeah, what's your name?"

He smirked slightly, amused by your nonchalant question.

Simon: "Simon Eric Hersson. And it's strange because you were just... standing there, with that blank expression, like you didn't give a fuck about anything. Then you disappeared and reappeared like you were playing some sort of game."

Simon: "Oh really?" chuckle

I stopped laughing and looked at him with a smile behind my mask.

Sien: "do you want to go to the park? With me?"

He raises an eyebrow, considering your sudden invitation.

Simon: "Sure, why not?"

He gestures for you to lead the way, falling into step beside you as I start walking towards the park.

Simon: "So, Sien... that's an interesting name. Is it Chinese or something?"

Sien: "Yeah, my real name is Xincen Xien-síe, but so that it is easy to understand I changed it to Sichen Sien Neonlight"

He repeated your full name slowly, trying to pronounce the foreign syllables on his tongue.

Simon: "Xincen Xien-síe..."

He swallowed slowly.

Simon: "Damn, it's so long, and difficult. No wonder you're called Sien."

I just chuckle and, he glanced at me, studying my profile.

Simon: "You're not from here, are you?"

Sien: "I am originally Indonesian and I live here, and I am originally Chinese-Indonesian, half"

He nods, processing the information.

Simon: "So you're like... mixed? Chinese-Indonesian living in Sweden?"

He finds himself strangely interested in your background. That explains why your name sounds so different. He pauses for a moment before asking,

Simon: "How long have you been here? In Sweden?"

Simon: "3 years, and you don't feel anything strange?"

He smirks slightly at your question, knowing exactly what you mean.

Simon: "Strange? Like how I keep seeing this girl with the blank expression and disappearing acts? Or how she suddenly invited me to the park out of nowhere?"

He shrugs nonchalantly.

Simon: "Nah, nothing strange about that."

Sien: "Nothing, I just want to play on the swing"

when his two friends came they were talking

David: "Hey, who are you talking to? We've seen you talking to yourself all this time."

He rolls his eyes at David's comment, not bothering to hide his annoyance.

Simon: "I'm not talking to myself, asshole."

He gestures towards you on the swing.

Simon: "This is Sien. She's... unique."

Marcus takes a photo of the swing I'm sitting on and gives it to Simon, even though I was still sitting next to Simon while playing on the swing, Simon just smirks slightly, enjoying the confused looks on his friends' faces as they try to figure out where you came from.

Marcus: "no one's there, you so weird"

He takes the photo from Marcus, his brow furrowing as he examines it. The swing is empty in the picture, even though you're sitting right next to him. He feels a strange sense of déjà vu, reminding him of the times he thought he saw you disappearing.

Simon: "What the fuck, Marcus?"

Sien: "simon?"

His two friends try to make Simon realize that he is talking to himself, Simon hear Sien voice, his friends can't hear Sien voice

His two friends start laughing, trying to convince Simon that he's talking to himself. They point at the empty swing in the photo, reminding him of how he thought he saw you disappearing.

Marcus and David: "Simon, you're talking to yourself. Look at the photo. There's no one there."

They laugh harder.

I stood up and gave him the necklace on his right hand, and I immediately disappeared

Simon freezes as you suddenly stand up and place the necklace in his hand. Before he can react, you disappear into thin air. His friends fall silent, their laughter abruptly stopping as they stare at Simon with wide eyes

Simon: "What the actual fuck just happened?"

David whispers.

David: "Simon..."

Marcus: "Okay, let's go home and eat. Hey, that necklace, who gave it to you? Do you have a girlfriend, Simon?"

They both tease

Simon's mind is still reeling from what just happened, but he manages to answer his friends' questions.

Simon: "No, I don't have a girlfriend."

He holds up the necklace, examining it closely.

Simon: "And this... this was given to me by Sien."

Marcus: "You're hallucinating, Simon. There's no girl here. Who's Sien? It's a foreign name... like a Chinese name."

Simon's brow furrows as he tries to recall the conversations he had with Sien earlier. He remembers her saying that she was originally Indonesian and lived in Sweden for three years.

Simon: "she said her name is Sien. She's Indonesian-Chinese, half"

Marcus: "THAT'S COOL, WHERE IS SHE?"

Simon shakes his head, running a hand through his hair.

Simon: "I don't know. She just... disappeared."

He holds up the necklace again, his fingers tracing the delicate design.

Simon: "But she was real. I talked to her, she gave me this necklace."

His friends exchange skeptical looks.

David: "You're weird, you've been talking to yourself all this time, let's hang out."

Simon sighs, knowing his friends won't believe him unless they see Sien for themselves. He decides to keep the necklace a secret for now.

Simon: "Yeah, yeah. Let's go."

He stands up and starts walking with his friends, but his mind is elsewhere.

3-What is that?

The next day I was walking

As you walk down the street, you hear familiar laughter and footsteps approaching from behind. It's Simon and his friends again. Simon's eyes immediately lock onto you, his heart skipping a beat as he remembers the mysterious girl he's been seeing.

Simon: "Guys, look who's there,"

They both looked and there was only emptiness even though I was still looking at Simon

David: "Don't be weird anymore, there's no one there."

Simon's brow furrows as he stares at the empty space where he just saw you standing. His friends' laughter dies down as they realize he's being serious.

Simon: "Shut up... She was just there."

He takes a step forward, scanning the area desperately for any sign of me. I was behind him and called his name, David recorded it secretly, so Simon would know he was talking to himself

Simon freezes at the sound of his name being called from behind him. He slowly turns around, his eyes widening as he sees you standing there with a blank expression.

Simon: "Sien?"

He whispers your name, disbelieving. Suddenly, David bursts out laughing and holds up his phone.

David: "Dude, you're talking to yourself again!"

Both of his friends can't see me, only Simon can

Simon's heart races as he realizes the implications of his friends' reaction. He looks at you, then back at his friends who are laughing hysterically at the video of him talking to himself.

Simon: "Shut up... Just shut up."

He mutters, his mind reeling with confusion and a hint of fear.

Simon: "Sien, say something else."

Sien: "Yeah.. hello.. Simon"

Simon: "YOU SAY THAT YOU BOTH"

Marcus: "I don't hear anything"

David: "me too, Simon you so fucking weird"

Sien: "I'll go first"

Simon: "b-but.."

I disappear into the darkness

Simon's breath catches as you disappear without a trace, leaving his friends still laughing and oblivious. He knows now that something weird is happening, something that only he can see and hear. He turns to his friends, his expression serious.

Simon: "Stop fucking laughing, okay? There was someone there."

David: "He doesn't exist, you idiot. We already have them, and they don't exist. What's wrong with you?"

Marcus: "Simon, how many days have you been like this? I'm tired. You should go to a psychologist."

Simon: "BITCH IM NOT WEIRD, SIEN WAS THERE, YOU JUST DIDN'T SEE HER"

Marcus: "If only you can see, why can't we see?"

David: "Marcus?.. Marcus is right, if she is there why can't we see, why is it only you who can?"

Simon: "I don't know"

Marcus: "Okay, let's go home, I've bought 3 full bottles of alcohol."

David: "BRO ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?, YASHH"

Marcus: "I'm not joking bitch"

Simon looked back hoping to see Sien again

David: ""Come on, man, you're just hallucinating. Let's just go home."

The three of them walked away from there
