So without wasting time here you go
on somewhere on the earth
A etherally beautiful boy is getting ready to go out
kim taehyung
My vacation has started
The hostel room is too quiet
My roommate has already left and my side of cupboard is already empty and bed neatly made
Only my things were scattered everywhere books , t shirt and charger tangled on the floor -like they refused to believe vacation was really starting
kim taehyung
[i stood infront of the small mirror buttoning my shirt, watching a stranger from a rich family state back at me ]
No more late‑night Maggie with friends. No more last‑minute assignment panic. Just long glass tables, silent servants and controlling parents and cold overprotective siblings.
kim taehyung
Tommorow, i had to go home [says to himself]
kim taehyung
But i don't feel like going
My phone buzzed in the desk
kim taehyung
[I grabbed it, hoping it was one of my friends asking for one last outing before we all scattered. Instead, there was only a new message from an unknown number.]
unknown
nice shirt
Blue suits you
Frowned and looked around the empty room. The door was locked. The curtains were half‑closed. I walked to the window and pushed them aside.
Outside, the hostel courtyard was normal—students dragging suitcases, taxis waiting, sunlight on the broken tiles.
unknown
don't worry
i will go home with you
kim taehyung
[A chill ran down my back]
I Didn’t know it yet, but that was the last morning I would ever feel safe walking anywhere alone

kim taehyung
I was thinking about the message from yesterday
kim taehyung
Just Thinking about it give chills
kim taehyung
Anyway let's go[said lazily]
The plane seat was soft, but his phone screen was harder on his eyes than the clouds below.
kim taehyung
“Flight mode, please,”
the air‑hostess reminded, smiling politely.
He forced a smile back, turned the setting on, and watched all the signal bars disappear.
No more messages from hostel friends. No more group spam. No more—
The moment the wheels touched the runway two hours later, his phone came alive again, buzzing nonstop in his pocket.
kim taehyung
Here we go [said to himself]
There were ten missed calls from home. Six from his mother, four from his father. And a rain of messages in the family group:
mom
[MOM]: Call me as soon as you land
mom
[MOM]: Are you safe? Send a photo.
dad
[DAD]: Don’t talk to strangers in the airport.
He rolled his eyes while walking through the crowded arrival gate.
kim taehyung
i’m twenty, not two [he muttered, dragging his small suitcase behind him.]
He clicked a quick selfie near a pillar and sent it with a short message.
kim taehyung
Landed. Fine. Stop panicking.
The reply arrived faster than the baggage.
mom
Thank god. Stay where you are. Driver is coming inside. Don’t move.
dad
Security will be increased at home. No argument.

"Come Home Now"
Before he could type anything, a new notification slid over the family chat—this one from an unknown number.
unknown
You look tired.
Airports don’t suit you.
The message had a photo attached.
It was his selfie from one minute ago.
He checked the sender twice, heart thudding. It wasn’t from the group, not from his mother, not from his father. Just a blank number with no name.
Cold air wrapped around his neck, though the airport was warm and noisy.
He quickly screenshotted it and dropped it in the family chat.
kim taehyung
Is this one of you? Not funny.
His parents saw it almost instantly.
Three dots appeared, then disappeared. For a few seconds, the chat stayed silent. Then:
mom
That’s not us. Come home. Right now.
dad
Stay exactly where you are.
Our driver and security will reach you in five minutes.
Do. Not. Move.
He swallowed and looked around the arrival hall.
People in suits, crying kids, tourists with cameras. No one staring directly at him. No one holding up his name.
His phone buzzed again—this time, from home.
On the other side of the city, his dad had just opened their own envelope.
Inside was a printed photo of him sitting in the plane, forehead on the window, eyes closed.
On the back, in neat black letters, a short line:
unknown
“Relax.
I’ll bring him home safely.”
He didn’t know that part yet.
All he knew was that, for the first time in his life, going back to his overprotective house suddenly felt safer than standing alone in the middle of a crowd.
