We Hate Each Other… Or Do We?
EP-1

Hello, lovely readers. Prepare yourselves for a story where hate and love collide… where every glare can spark a fire, and every argument hides something more.
The classroom was buzzing with the low hum of students settling into their seats. Ishita sat by the window, her notebook open, pen in hand, but her mind was somewhere far away—probably calculating how many more lectures she could survive before graduation.
The guy had that infuriatingly confident walk, the kind that made everyone turn their heads—not that Ishita cared.
Except… he dropped his bag right on the desk next to hers with a thud that practically vibrated through her bones.
Ishita
*snapped, her voice cutting through the low murmur of the class.*
Caleb
*glanced at her, eyebrow raised, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.*
Caleb
"Or what? You’ll write me a strongly worded email?”
*he shot back, leaning casually against the desk.*
Ishita
*clenched her pen so tight her knuckles turned white. Unbelievable.*
Ishita
“You think this is funny? People have to sit here!”
Ishita
*hissed, glaring at him.*
Caleb
“Relax, I can move. Not like the world will end if I sit next to someone… fierce,”
Caleb
*he said, finally plopping down in the seat, deliberately close enough for her personal space to vanish.*
Ishita
*nearly snapped her pen in half.*
Ishita
*Fierce? He called me fierce? That’s… I… Ugh!*
Ishita
*she growled, sliding her notebook closer to herself, like that would magically make him disappear.*
Caleb
“Or what? You’ll glare me to death?”
Caleb
*He teased, leaning back in his chair, arms crossed.*
Ishita
*stood up, her chair screeching against the floor. Heads turned. *
Ishita
*Great, just great.*
Ishita
“You have no right to act like you own the place!”
Ishita
*she spat, hands on her hips.*
Ishita
[̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡ಠ_ಠ)̲̅$̲̅]
Caleb
*leaned forward, his smirk widening.*
Caleb
“Funny, I thought I paid for the seat, just like everyone else.”
Ishita
“You are impossible!”
Ishita
*she shouted, waving her hands as if that would make him vanish.*
And then it happened—the professor walked in.
Professor
“Everyone, settle down,”
Professor
*His gaze swept the room, landing on the obvious tension between Ishita and Caleb. Oh, perfect. Front-row drama.*
Ishita sank back into her seat, fuming, cheeks hot. Caleb, on the other hand, grinned like he’d just won the lottery.
Caleb
“See? Drama queen back in action,”
Caleb
*he whispered just loud enough for her to hear.*
Ishita
*she hissed, scribbling furiously in her notebook.*
Caleb
*leaned closer, pretending to inspect her notes.*
Caleb
“Hmm… looks like you’re writing a letter… to me?”
Ishita
*she yelled, jerking her notebook away.*
A small giggle escaped from the girl sitting behind her. Caleb’s smirk turned into a satisfied grin.
The rest of the lecture passed in tense silence—well, Ishita’s tense glaring and Caleb’s constant smirking. By the time the professor assigned a semester-long project, Ishita’s heart sank.
Professor
“You’re partnered with… him,”
Ishita
*Her eyes nearly popped out of her head.*
Ishita
*she shrieked internally. No. Absolutely not. I will not. I cannot.*
Caleb, of course, looked like he’d just won a jackpot.
Caleb
“Oh… this is going to be fun,”
Caleb
*he muttered under his breath, grinning in her direction.*
Ishita
💭Ishita’s brain screamed: Fun? This is hell. Pure hell.
The bell finally rang, and the students rushed out. Ishita grabbed her bag like her life depended on it, determined to avoid Caleb at all costs.
But Caleb was already at the door, leaning casually against the frame, watching her like a cat watching its prey.
Caleb
“See you tomorrow, Ishita,” *he called, smirk teasing.*
Ishita
“Don’t you dare speak to me!” *she hissed back, storming out.*
And just like that, the war had begun.

EP-2
The next morning, Ishita arrived at college with one goal in mind: avoid Caleb at all costs.
Yeah… that plan lasted exactly 0.3 seconds.
As soon as she stepped into the classroom, she spotted him—Caleb—already leaning casually against her desk. Of course. Naturally. The universe had a sick sense of humor.
Caleb
*he said, smirking like he had no idea how much she hated him.*
Ishita
“Good morning… Caleb,”
Ishita
*she replied, her voice cold, clipped. She slid into her seat, determined to ignore him.*
The professor clapped his hands.
Professor
“Alright, everyone. Project groups have been assigned. Ishita … Caleb … you’ll be working together.”
Ishita
* almost dropped her pen.*
Ishita
“Seriously?!” *she whispered under her breath.*
Caleb
*leaned back, grinning, clearly enjoying her horror.*
Caleb
“Relax, Ishita. Don’t worry, I’ll be very helpful,” * he said, tone dripping with sarcasm.*
Ishita
“Helpful? You? The guy who doesn’t even take notes?” * she shot back, glaring.*
Caleb
“Exactly. I’ll teach you the art of… surviving a group project,” *he quipped, leaning closer than necessary.*
Ishita recoiled. Too close. Way too close.
They headed to the library to start the project. Ishita opened her laptop, Caleb casually plopped down beside her, and immediately… chaos ensued.
Caleb
“So… what’s your plan?” * He asked, looking at her screen.*
Ishita
“I… uh… I thought we could divide the tasks,” *she stammered, trying to keep her cool.*
Caleb
“Divide?” *raised an eyebrow.* “Or maybe you just do everything, and I supervise?”
Ishita
“I didn’t agree to that!”
Caleb
“Oh come on… you love supervising me as much as I love being told what to do,” *he said, grinning like a devil.*
Ishita
* she yelled, startling the quiet student beside them.*
Caleb
* He Whispered, leaning back smugly.*
Caleb
“Your glare says otherwise.”
Ishita
* Her ears turned red. How does he always do that?! How does he… notice?!*
EP -3
As they worked, Caleb accidentally knocked her notebook off the table.
Caleb
“Oops,” he said, picking it up. “My bad.”
Ishita
“Watch it!” she snapped, snatching it from him.
For a moment, their fingers brushed. Ishita froze. Caleb looked at her, raising one eyebrow.
Caleb
“See? That wasn’t so bad,” he said, teasing.
Ishita
*She rolled her eyes but didn’t speak. Her heart, however, had a mind of its own. Why is it racing? It’s just… his hand. Just… a notebook.*
By the time they were halfway through, the tension had shifted slightly—less obvious hate, more… irritation mixed with fascination.
Ishita
“You can’t just… do things your way!” she hissed.
Caleb
“Oh, really? And you can?”
Caleb
*shot back, leaning closer.*
Ishita
“I don’t need to explain myself to you!” she snapped, standing up, pointing at him like a tiny commander.
Caleb
“I… I’m just saying… maybe I’m right?” he teased.
Ishita
“Wrong! Always wrong!” she shouted, almost losing her balance on the chair.
Caleb
*laughed—quietly, low, and dangerous.*
Caleb
“You know… you’re cute when you’re angry,” he murmured.
Ishita
*froze. Her face burned. She shot him a glare that could kill—but inside… her heart did not agree with her brain.*
Ishita
“Shut up!” she hissed, turning her back dramatically.
Caleb
*said, smirk widening, knowing full well he’d won this round.*
They left the library hours later. Ishita tried to walk fast, Caleb kept pace.
Caleb
“You know… this project might not be so bad,” he said casually.
Ishita
“I hate you,” she muttered under her breath
Caleb
“And that’s why I like you,” he whispered back with that infuriating smirk.
Ishita didn’t answer. She didn’t need to. The tension… the tiny spark… it was enough for both of them to know: this was going to be one hell of a semester.
