First Time We Meet

episode 1

Today is my first day of school as a teenager. I woke up at 8:30 in the morning. I looked straight at my phone and saw that there were no messages, so I was not surprised that no one had sent me a message. I took my bag and all the necessary things and walked to school. I was almost at school. The school's paths were full of yellow flowers. I walked slowly forward. I slowly climbed the steps to the school's height and walked slowly, taking in every view. When I was going towards the place surrounded by trees, our class had already started on the first day. A bully tried to harass me. I fought him back. Then everyone in the class was afraid of me. After that, I got three friends. Slowly, the whole class and my friend. So, a life where class was just a life. When I went home, I just took the ball and played. There was a small dog and let it play. And so that month passed. A month later, our school was celebrating an anniversary. For the anniversary, various people came to me. I was standing with them and telling my friends something. I slowly felt a gentle breeze caressing my hair. A fragrant wind blew around me. I liked the climate a lot. Suddenly, I turned around. I was looking into her eyes. She slowly came up the stairs. She had a traditional look. At first glance, I liked her very much. A love that I had never felt before. That night, sleep refused to come to me. No matter how hard I tried to close my eyes, my thoughts kept returning to her. Every quiet moment felt heavy with her presence, as if she had silently settled into my heart without asking for permission. I kept wondering whether I should tell her what I felt, but fear and doubt held me back. I didn’t know who she truly was. I didn’t know her nature, her thoughts, or the world she came from. There were so many unanswered questions, yet none of them were strong enough to silence my feelings.

One thing alone was clear to me—I loved her.

In school, I was known by many. I was popular, always surrounded by friends, laughter, and attention. There were girls who stayed close to me, some who followed me, some who spoke to me with admiration. From the outside, it might have looked like I had everything. But none of that ever touched my heart. Those moments felt shallow, passing, and incomplete. They never made me pause, never made my heart race, never made my nights restless.

But she did.

The feeling she awakened in me was unfamiliar and deep. It wasn’t loud or dramatic; it was quiet and powerful. It settled into me slowly, changing the way I saw everything around me. I didn’t know how to speak to her. I didn’t know how to begin a conversation or how to express what I felt. Sometimes, I didn’t even feel capable of meeting her eyes. Words failed me whenever she was near.

And yet, no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t stay away from her. Avoiding her felt more painful than the fear of speaking. Even a glimpse of her from a distance was enough to calm my heart and disturb it at the same time. When she smiled, the world felt lighter. When she wasn’t around, everything felt strangely empty.

She occupied my thoughts during classes, during walks, during silent moments when no one else could see my struggle. I imagined conversations I would never have the courage to start. I rehearsed confessions that would remain locked inside my heart. Loving her felt beautiful, even though it was unspoken.

I didn’t need her to know my feelings for them to be real. I didn’t need anything in return to understand their depth. Loving her changed me—it made me quieter, more thoughtful, more aware of my own heart.

Some loves are loud and visible. Others live silently within us, shaping who we are without ever asking to be noticed. Mine was like that.

I loved her with an everlasting love.
