Zyrille's POV:

I’m looking at the man who married me out of nowhere, and even my parents agreed to it. Did this old man put some potion in my parents? He’s been my husband for three days now, but he never looks at me or talks to me. I’m always alone in his huge mansion.

I look at him like I'm so weird.

"You're always starring at me." he said

He was busy in his laptop and doing something that I don't understand.

I just stand up to get food in the kitchen, but he stopped me.

"Where are you going?" he asks

"I'm going to kitchen, I'm hungryy"

"Your hungry but you didn't eat lunch."

I rolled my eyes on him, I just went outside in his office. He had a big office in his huge mansion, whenever he goes home he immediately goes to his office and work again. He always works that he does't have a time to eat and sleep, sometimes I feel bad for him.

The day he suddenly married me, I had just gotten home from school, was completely shocked. I was the only one caught off guard because my parents had known about the marriage all along; they’d been talking about it without telling me. Of course I was furious back then, but in the end, I agreed to it. They might think I’m dumb or childish, but I know I’m not. I’m smart in my own way. I’m just innocent and still have so much to learn about the world. Sometimes when I ask questions, they laugh, and I understand why. My mouth never seems to stop moving because I’m always so curious about everything around me.

I really hate my parents a lot. They look like nice angels when they’re with other people, but deep inside, they’re so bad. They’re violent too. Whenever I make a mistake or do something wrong, they slap me. From when I was little in childhood all the way up to now that I’m a teenager, they control everything I do. I don’t get to have any freedom at home. The house is always full of yelling, hitting, and bad words. I like being at school way more because I can get away from that awful place. I don’t want to hear all those mean things they say. That house isn’t a home, it’s just a freaking jail.

But in my husband house, I feel like I'm free from my parents now, and I'm glad that I agree to this marriage.

I can do something with mistakes now without punishing me, I'm finally free... But my childhood trauma will remain, I got childhood trauma though my violent parents.

I just kept on walking through this huge mansion, I didn’t even realize I’d gotten lost! This mansion is so huge! Is this a maze or mansion? I don't know.

I'm so hungry now but what I am going to do? I'm lost, I hope there will be a maid that will walk near this place.

I look everywhere and found a maid cleaning nearby! Yes thank you!!

I walk towards to the maid and greet him. She was beautiful and look young!

"Good afternoon maid...?“

"I'm Regina. By the way Mrs. Montigo what are you doing here?" she asks.

"Hehe don't call me Mrs. Montigo it doesn't suit me"

"But Mr. Louise said that we will call you Mrs. Montigo because you are his wife now. But Mrs. Montigo what are you actually doing here?"

Gosh...

"I got lost in this mansion hehe... C-can you bring me to the kitchen? I'm hungry" I said shyly.

"HAHA, okay I will Mrs. Montigo. Follow me"

I followed maid Regina. Yes! I can finally eat now! This hunger will fade now!

"Mr. Montigo married a beautiful girl. You look young Mrs. Montigo, are you still in high school?"

"Yes I'm still in high school, I'm grade 12 a senior high school and a graduating student soon!" I happily said when maid Regina asked.

Of course who wouldn't be happy that you're going to graduate high school and be a college soon. Imagine spending 6 years in high school and can be finally be college next year. I bet college is harder and stressful, but it will be worth it soon if you graduate and have a stable job.

"I'm jealous of you, Mrs Montigo. You've manage to finish high school soon while I'm not, I'm now 25 but I didn't finish high school and college due to money problems."

I look at him, I feel bad for the people who didn't get finish school because they don't have money. Sometimes, I wish I'm the president of this country to help people who didn't finish school, but it would be totally impossible.

"It's okay to be jealous with me, I know how you feel... I know the feeling when didn't you finish school and doesn't get a job"

I didn't even experience it, but I know how they feel. Imagine your friends finishes high school and college but your the only one who didn't, because you chose to work and help your family.

"If only I were rich, I would have finished high school and college by now and become a doctor. I wanted to be a doctor to help my dying mother with her illness. But I was already too late. My mother died because she took her own life, she did it because she didn’t want to be a burden to us and thought her hospital treatment was costing too much money, so she chose to end her life for good."

Maid Regina was tearing up, but she chose to hide it and wipe them. Her story is so emotional... It's like a daughter who gave up her dreams and chose to work to save her dying mother from illness.

"We're here in the kitchen now Mrs. Montigo"

I happily smiled and open the fridge, it was full of foods and sweets!

"Pick what you like maid Regina! We're going to eat together!"

"No Mrs. Montigo, Mr. Montigo will probably be angry"

"Come on he won'tttt, I'm his wife now. Don't mind him."

She slowly nods and reaches to pick something from the fridge. She takes out an ice cream, only ice cream? I copied what she did and took one too.

My flavor of my ice cream is cookies and cream while maid Regina's ice cream flavor is vanilla.

The two us happily ate together.

Zyrille's POV:

"I want to go home now..." I said while writing in my notebook.

"Me too..." My best friend said which is my seatmate.

"Come on you two it's still only 9:00 am and you two want to go home now??" Henry's said, also my seatmate.

"It's the first period of our subject, and it's math" I said.

Mathematics is the worse subject ever! Every time I hear mathematics my whole day would be ruined and the worse part? Our teacher is strict! She may be young and beautiful, but she's a terror teacher.

"Yeah, learning mathematics will get me headache. You're lucky Henry, your smart of that subject."

"Come on Katherine, I'm not smart HAHAHA" Henry laugh as he said it to my best friend.

"Yeah whatever, your parents are civil engineers. Their IQ maybe pass onto you" Katherine said.

"Can I ask, does civil engineers are smart of mathematics?" I ask.

"Ha? I thought you knew Zyrille."

"I don't know, what Furthermore, I only know about them is they build a house. Answer my question now!"

"Yeah, they are so smart. They even know algebra."

Algebra? I can’t even solve a single problem without Henry’s help I guess his parents really passed on their high IQ to him! Henry is our math teacher’s favorite student too; he can answer every math problem easily, like a total genius. But I know his weakness hehe... Science!

My best friend is a genius at science, though not on the level of famous scientists like Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. Katherine’s favorite subject is science, which is why she loves studying all sorts of scientific topics that I don’t know much about.

As for me? I don’t know what subject I’m good at yet. I used to just copy from my friends, but now sometimes they even take time to teach me, so I can understand the lessons better, and they actually love teaching me too! Furthermore, I love my friends so much, we have a small circle of friends and that means the world to me.

Later on, our math teacher arrived. We all stand up and greeted him.

"Class, listen up everyone. We have an important meeting in the principal's office today because there's a special guest visiting our school. So that means no activities or quizzes for you all today, got it? But make sure you remember this, tomorrow we'll have a quiz on everything I taught you this week, so please make sure to study hard and go over your notes carefully!" ma'am Alison said.

She left. It made my smile grew wider, yes! We don't have to answer anything today!

"Everyone where is the secretary here, you need to check our school attendance!" one of our classmates shout.

"I think our secretary is absent" Kat said to my classmates.

Our secretary is Cindy, she’s part of our small circle of friends. She’s a total social butterfly and pretty famous on social media too! Her mom used to be a well-known actress, but she’s going to retire soon.

"Why did she absent? She got sick?" Henry asks.

"What about you text him Zyrille" Kat said to me.

"Ok! Wait.".

I texted him.

Me: Why are you absent, Cindy?

I waited her to reply.

Cindy Lareigh: My mom and I have a photoshoot in her industry, I know all our classmates finding me now to check the attendance. Please, can you check the attendance?

Me: Sure bebes

Cindy Lareigh: Thank you

I put my phone carefully in my pocket. Then I walked over to our advisor’s table to take the attendance for our class. I checked through the list one by one to make sure I accounted for all our classmates. When I looked at my name on the attendance sheet, it still read Elyse Zyrille Sandra. I had just gotten married four days prior, so it is supposed to be Elyse Zyrille Montigo now, but they did not know yet. After going through every name twice, I guessed everyone was present and on time except Cindy, who is absent.

After that I went back to my seat.

"Why was she absent today Zyrille?" Kat asks

"Her mom and him had a photoshoot" I said showing our texts in the phone.

There's no doubt they have a photoshoot together, they are a mother-daughter who's in fame.

"Guyssss, intramural is coming soon"

Intramural? I didn't know intramural is coming soon! It is my favorite event school! Oh, gosh this is exciting!

"I wonder if Zyra's big brother will join in the badminton competition"

"He will join Katherine! He's our only badminton player in our small circle of friends!" Henry said that made my best friend smile.

I think he likes Zyra's big brother??

Zyra has been our friend since Grade 8, and she’s part of our small circle. She has an older brother who also joined our group, and he’s like a big brother to all of us. He truly acts the part, and he’s so sweet and caring!

"Do you like big brother Zyro kat??" I tease.

"N-no way! I-I... I saw him as a big brother to us..."

She was blushing? I knew it! She likes him but won't admit, you can't hide away your feelings Kat he-he.

"Your lying" I said as I tease more.

"I don't really like him!" she shouts.

"Calm down Katherine, Zyrille is just teasing at you HAHAHA and why your faced is so red like tomato?" Henry said as he said in teasing tone.

"Because she's blushing HAHAHAHAHAHA" I said that made me laugh so much.

"Aghhh you twooooo"

Minutes later Henry and I stopped teasing Katherine.

I know she likes Big brother Zyro! She is even blushing whenever we mentioned his name!

"But waitttt, I heard that Zyro had a girlfriend now. But I don't if it's the true, it'd just humor-humor in the Campus" Henry said and look at Katherine.

Did he purposely said that to Kat??

"W-why your telling me? I don't care if big brother Zyro had a girlfriend" Kat said to Henry.

But she looks hurt or sad?

"Anyways! I'm excited want to see Cindy in the pageant!" she said to distract himself from hurting, I guess?

"Does intramural is only sports right?" I ask.

How can intramural have a pageant? It is not even a sport.

"Yes it is, but pageant is the opening ceremony of intramurals!"

"So Cindy will going to represent grade 12??" I ask.

"Yeah! Let's enjoy the intramurals! This is the last year we're going to be high school."

Yeah... I want to go back to Grade 7, when all our friendships started and how our small circle built so many more connections with others.

Zyrille's POV:

I got home from school and lay down on the sofa because I was so tired. I want to go to my bedroom in my husband’s mansion, but I’m afraid I’ll get lost again. Still, I need to get changed now, this uniform made me sweat so much!

I just close my eyes because I was so sleepy...

"Why are you sweating so much?" someone said that made me woke up.

I looked at who had said that, and it was Mr. Louise, my husband!

I quickly sat on the sofa, and he was standing in front of me! Oh gosh... I looked at his eyes. They were so pretty.

He took something from his pocket: a handkerchief. He wiped my forehead with it... He was in a half-kneeling position, his left knee on the floor and his right foot planted to reach me.

"Why didn't you turn on the air-conditioning in this living room?" he asks while still wiping my forehead slowly. My heart was beating so fast at what he was doing.

"I don't know how hehe... I was waiting a maid to come here." I said to him.

"And why didn't you not change yet? You're still in your uniform."

"I don't know where is my bedroom... I don't want to get lost in your mansion, this is like a maze instead of a mansion!" I said.

He chuckled, Eh? But he immediately hide it.

"Follow me." he said, and I followed him all the way to the upstairs.

After that, he led me to my bedroom. I looked up at him with a warm smile and thanked him softly for his kindness. He just nodded quietly, his eyes holding a gentle warmth before he turned and quietly left the room, closing the door behind him.

I went to the wardrobe and choose a pajama to wear, I wore a cute pajama set, and the design is flowers.

Minutes later someone was knocking on my door. When I heard the voice who it was I let him in the bedroom, I hug the person so tight.

"You look cute in your pajama, Mrs. Montigo"

"Thank you maid Regina, it's been a while we didn't see each other for a long time" I said.

I let go of him. We haven't seen each other for days because she was with her family spending Christmas vacation.

"It's almost New year Mrs. Montigo you've never change your sweetness HAHAHA"

"I never change, Maid Regina. By the way, call me Elyse or Zyrille! Do not call me Mrs. Montigo anymore, It's not nice on me."

I don't want to be called Mrs. Montigo because I feel like I'm the boss here, and that last name doesn't suit me. It suits the person Mr. Louise wants in his life, and that's not me. He just married me out of sudden that I didn't know.

"You're always saying that, Mrs. Montigo. Mr. Montigo said we should call you Mrs. Montigo because you're his wife, and can I ask?... You two have already kissed? HAHAHA"

My face became red of her sudden question to me.

"What are you talking aboutttt, we're not even love with each other! He just married me out of sudden!"

She just laughs.

"Okay? Let's see about that"

"Do you know Maid Regina? I miss you so muchhh! I always get lost in this mansion without you. Huhu."

"Haha, don't worry now Mrs. Montigo, I'm here. I'm going to spend new year with you"

"How I many times I told you that call me Zyrille or Elyse!"

"Okay-okay miss Zyrille HAHAHA"

"Dinner time!"

The food that Maid Regina made? It looks so delicious! There was a delicious soup and a perfectly cooked beefsteak. I can't wait to eat!

"Looks delicious maid Regina"

"Of course I cooked that" she proudly said.

I immediately sat at the table after Maid Regina arranged all the food on it and prepared the utensils and plates.

"Where is Mr. Louise?..." I ask. Of course I couldn't eat this alone without him. He might think I'm an irresponsible wife who couldn't wait for him to eat, it would show bad manners.

"Mr. Montigo is on a important meeting right now. h

He might not go home tonight, why did you ask? Did you miss him? HAHAHA"

"I'm not! I just feel like if I eat this alone, I might seem like an irresponsible wife, like I have no manners and couldn't wait for him."

"Don't think of that, Miss Zyrille. Eating first doesn't mean you have no manners. It's just that sometimes we get hungry, and there's nothing wrong with taking care of yourself too." She said that made my face happily smile, only maid Regina can make me smile in this lonely mansion. So far, she's been my closest here.

"Maid Regina, can I ask? Do you have a boyfriend already before?" I ask, I'm curious if she had a past relationship or like that.

"Yeah, I have a boyfriend before, but we broke up because I was afraid he would know my problem... I'm immature right? We broke up over a simple reason... But I did it for what I thought was right... He was so kind that it made me feel like I'm a burden to him, and he always helped me with money whenever I was struggling." she said that maid her stop to sweep in the kitchen floor.

I look at maid Regina and quickly apologized to him.

"It's okay ma'am Zyrille, past is past. Past is already in the past." she said and continued sweeping the floor.

I feel bad for asking that question...

I just continued eating alone in the table.
