Charlotte pov,

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock,it was another hectic day of work.

"Charliee! get up your gonna be late for work"Rose my roommate screamed.

  "Just a few more minutes"I replied still feeling sleepy.

I was about to sleep for another 15 minutes when rose came from nowhere and splashed ice cold water on my body.

"What the fuck!!!!"I screamed it was so cold.

"Get up sleepy head rise and shine"she said with a creepy smile on her face.

She was so annoying,yet sweet.

"Oh and don't forget you said something about having a big project today soo.."she said while leaving.

  Oh my God,pour me in boiling oil and fry me to a crisp.

  I forgot about the big project me and my team were supposed to do today.

I checked the time it was 7:26,great I still had 34 minutes left the meeting was going to start by 8 on the dot.

I stumbled and hurried to go to the bathroom,after bathing I checked time it was 7:35 I looked for my outfit there was no time to choose i searched for my make up kit only to apply little and look good for the presentation.

Time was ticking,7:42.

  After grabbing a bite from rose breakfast I hurried down to get a taxi,but I could not find one and I could not book because I forgot to charge my phone after rose used it last night to call her so called boyfriend

(don't get me wrong I am so happy for her but anytime they dump her she always come to me and start tearing up guys are jerks)

  I had no choice I had to run to work,luckily the company wasn't so far from my house but damn this stupid heels.

  Can my day get anymore worse?.

I was almost there,I just have to cross the road I looked both way and was about to cross when a car almost hit me.

  My prayers had been answered my day got worse.

"Hey what the hell!"I shouted that almost killed me and I haven't even gotten a boyfriend yet.

  A driver stepped out of the car,

"Are you blind"The driver screamed.

We were in a hot argument(I forgot about my presentation).

  Then a guy stepped out of the vehicle wearing a suit,his muscles looked like they wanted to tear out from the clothes he had green eyes which looked as if it could tear into my future.

  "Are you done eye-fucking me"he asked.

  Oh my god this is so embarrassing.

"I wasn...t"I stammered.

"Look you can't just run around anywhere like a crazy person"he said.

"Excuse you?"I retorted.

  *sigh* "take this check it should cover for all these nonsense"he said while handling me a check of a huge amount of money(although I didn't know the amount I was sure it was big).

  This was a life changing opportunity no need to rent an apartment I could buy a house,cars and live a life of luxury until the money eventually runs out.

My mind was saying yes,

  But my mouth answered for me

"Look here sir I may not know your name and I don't care for your name if you think money can fix everything it can't,this shows that you lack home training"I screamed at his face and left before he could answer.

I was furious and then I remembered my meeting,I rushed to the company.

  Burst through the doors like a woman who had just been robbed.

   I sneakily entered the room,through the help of my best friend and gave her a slight wink.

    "where have you been" Amanda asked.

  "sorry for the delay it just that a car....."I explained but she cut me short.

 "I don't care about that Mr marlins is about to arrive you're lucky he's also a bit late"Amanda warned.

      I put on my best smile arranged my dress and waited for him to arrive.

  After about 2 minutes,the door bursts open.

   "What the....."I said.

 "This is Mr marlins the head of the marlin co-operation"his assistant spoke.

    For a moment we locked eyes but then I broke away,i was supposed to present a project to him and i was so rude before if I don't get this deal with rhe marlins co-operation I might as well say bye bye to my work.

    I took a couple of breathes then started, I had worked all night for this.



   I did not want to make eye contact with him.

 "Look for a place to stay,a place that feels like home, a place where you can enjoy the breeze then come to Orquise resort a place a resort that serves breakfast in bed"

  "A chance to explore the wonders of Treasure island,come to Orquise resort come home"saying that I ended the presentation and my co-workers gave me a round of applause.

     "I don't like it"Mr marlins said.

  The room fell silent.

  He then stood up and left.

  "come on"amanda said looking dissatisfied.

  "sir! sir! please wait" I rushed after him.

  "what"he asked in a cold tone.

 "sir please one last chance"i plead.

 "I remember it was you who I lack home training right?" he inched closer.

"how can you a presentation about home when you judge easily"he asked.

 "I.......I......I didn't mean it like that'" I stammered.

  "please just one more chance"

"fine next week same day same time don't be late"saying that he turned and left.

  "it's definitely karma"i said to myself.

I went back to the meeting room.

"What did he say"Amanda asked.

"he's giving us one chance to redo the project same day,same time" I answered.

"This is the last chance Charlotte if you don't get this project am sorry but I'll have to fire you"Said the manager.

"i won't dissapoint your sir"i said confidently.

"if you eventually fail I'll take your place"said Amanda with a smirk on her lips.

"I'll help"my bestfriend said.

"Thank you" I smiled and hugged her.

After working and preparing ideas for the project I went home tired and dejected.

"Thank you"i smiled and waved at the taxi man as he sped away.

I opened the door of our house but it was locked,I guess my parents were at shop so I decided to use the back door then I overheard some whispers.....

"please Madam Jen give us one last chance and we'll give you the money"My mom begged.

"This is the last time I'll give you one last chance by next week the monet should be ready or else I'll have no choice but to put your house for sale"she said and left.

My parents started crying.

I left there and went to a nearby restaurant to clear my head I really needed to cool off
