The Same Night
I m sorry for early stories
to be honest I m not in my state on mind to write but now I want to like my heart feelings and all
(Phone screen lights up. Silence in the room.)
On Call
“Beta, you need to learn how to adjust.”
“No man likes too much emotion.”
someone 1
(She tightens her grip on the phone.)
A sigh from the other side.
someone 1
(She stares at the blank screen. The room feels smaller.)
someone 1
(She sits on the bed, pulls a book from under the pillow. Pages already folded, underlined.)
someone 1
(Reads silently. Lips move.)
someone 1
(Suddenly she laughs — a soft, broken sound.)
someone 1
(A breath.)
“You don’t even exist… and you make more sense than everyone else.”
someone 1
(She closes the book, presses it to her chest.)
someone 1
“If someone looked at me like I mattered…”
someone 1
(A whisper.)
“I wouldn’t be scared all the time.”
(Living room. Relatives talking. Tea cups clinking.)
“So?”
(A teasing tone.)
“Anyone special yet?”
someone 2
(She smiles politely.)
someone 2
“Work keeps me busy.”
Another voice laughs.
“You’re too quiet. One day it’ll be too late.”
(She nods. Says nothing.)
(She opens a different book — old, worn, careful.)
(Runs fingers over the page.)
someone 2
“She ruled everything…”
(A small smile.)
“…but chose love she could never say out loud.”
someone 2
(She exhales, slow and shaky.)
someone 2
“If loving like that wasn’t wrong…”
(A pause.)
“I wouldn’t hide.”
(She looks at her reflection in the dark window.)
someone 2
“I wouldn’t be this afraid.”
(College corridor. Voices echo.)
someone 3
(He clenches his jaw.)
someone 3
“At least I care.”
Someone scoffs.
“That’s your problem.”
someone 3
(He walks away fast.)
(Room. Backpack thrown aside.)
(He opens a book, flipping straight to a marked page.)
someone 3
(Reads out loud.)
someone 3
“Monsters don’t apologize for what they are.”
someone 3
(He smirks, then it fades.)
someone 3
(To the empty room.)
“Being powerful without asking permission.”
(He leans back, staring at the ceiling.)
someone 3
“If someone stood beside me like that…”
someone 3
(A bitter laugh.)
someone 3
“I wouldn’t have to pretend I’m okay.”
(Book slips from his hand.)
(Three rooms. Three breaths.)
(Three thoughts — different words, same ache.)
(A world not meant to touch theirs.)
(A pulse that finally slows.)
Three voices — calm, certain.
(Not power.)
(Not eternity.)
what is happening and which world it is ??
