“It can destroy roughly one kilometer radius, recharge time ten to fifteen minutes—”

“WHY DOES A SCHOOL PROJECT NEED THAT?” someone screamed.

“—but if overused, it causes a nuclear-level blast,” she continued calmly.

“So please don’t use it unless you’re brilliant like me. It’s still beta.”

The teacher stared and in serious voice.

“…Remee.”

“Yes?”

“I asked you to explain how potatoes produce energy.”

She blinked.

Teacher: “Your daughter is… She think.”

Malik: “Brilliant? Polite? Future engineering legend just like me?”

Teacher: “uhhh maybe you should spend time with her. She needs you. You’re always working. So why don't you spend time with her.”

Malik went quiet.

“…You’re right,” he said finally. “I’ll try my best.”

She smiled. “That’s… actually a nice name.”

He blinked.

“…Thanks. No one’s ever said that and you are malik daughter right?"

Malik suddenly appeared behind her.

“Oho? Already bringing boys home?”

Remee nearly overheated by shy.

“DAD! He’s not my boyfriend!”

Asher awkwardly waved.

“…Hi mr malk”

The Disassembly Drone’s optic flared.

“There you are.”

Remee’s snapped away.

She clenched her fists.

“…I’m not a helpless worker”

Return to the flash back 2

Night fell over the Quarantine bunker.

The lights dimmed. The wind howled.

Remee quietly packed her bag—tools, spare parts… and finally, her gun. She hesitated, then clipped it to her side.

“…Okay. No explosions tonight,” she muttered.

She reached into a drawer and pulled out an ID card.

“Sorry, Dad.”

She stepped to the door and slowly opened it—

“Boo.”

“OH ROBOT GOD—!”

Remee jumped so hard she nearly fired his weapon to her dad.

Malik stood in the doorway, arms crossed, smiling way too calmly.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

She froze.

“Uhhh… hanging out with my friend?”

Malik laughed.

“Hahaha. Funny.”

“…Okay fine,” she sighed. “I’m going— out for a— school assignment I’m working on.”

Malik stared at her.

Long.

Silent.

Then he reached into his coat and held out another card.

“The real ID is with me”

Remee blinked.

“…Wait. WAIT. You knew I’d take the card?”

“You really think I wouldn’t notice?” he said. “I switched it hours ago.”

She stared at him.

“So you were just… waiting?”

Malik knelt slightly to her level.

“I know your goal. I know you want to see the world.”

He placed the ID in her hand.

“Just… come back safe.”

Her LED softened.

“…I will.”

Malik stepped aside and opened the door fully.

“Go."

OUTSIDE THE QUARANTINE ZONE

Cold air hit her instantly.

Snow stretched endlessly beyond the walls—silent, broken, beautiful.

“…Whoa,” Remee whispered.

She stepped out, boots crunching.

A guard drone hovered nearby.

“If you see a boy named Asher,” it said, monotone, “please return with him.”

She nodded.“…Got it.”

Then she ran.

She jumped. Slid. Rolled.

She crashed face-first into snow.“…Worth it.”

She laughed quietly, brushing herself off, spinning once with arms out.

Freedom felt… loud.

Then she bump into the ruined building

"uhgh my head"

She froze. Clank

Her head snapped toward the sound.

She peeked over a snow ridge.

She saw Asher.

He was crouched, welding something together—scrap metal, wires, sparks flickering.

She shifted slightly.CRUNCH!.

Asher looked up.

Straight at her.

Remee’s core skipped.

He stared.

Then looked back down.

“…why is she here,” he muttered, continuing his work.

Remee exhaled hard.

“…Okay. That was close.”

She backed away and continued deeper into the frozen wasteland.

THE NEST

The air changed.

The snow was darker here.

Then she saw it.

A tower of dead drones—stacked, twisted, frozen together. Limbs tangled. Optics dark.

Remee swallowed.

“…This is not in any in the data .”

She stepped closer.

Above it—a nest.

Metal claws dug into the structure. Oil stains smeared across the walls.

Disassembly Drone territory.

Her hand tightened on her gun.

She slipped inside.

The tunnel was quiet.

Too quiet.

“…Hello?” she whispered, instantly regretting it.

Then—

A shadow moved.

Something flew overhead.

Metal wings unfolded with a screech.

A yellow optic ignited in the darkness.

“Cute” a voice purred "you worker drones only know to hide? what a shame"

Remee turned slowly.

The Disassembly Drone hovered before her.

And the story finally caught up.

Friendship

The Disassembly Drone lunged.

Remee fired.

Her gun shots tore through its torso, head, wings—metal shattered, oil splashed across the snow ground.

The drone fell.

Remee panted.

“…Did I—? Hell that fuck robo—!"

The pieces moved.

his body grow back together. Limbs snapped into place. The optic regeneration.

“…Oh,” Remee whispered. “That’s cheating.”

She fired again.

And again.

And again.

Nothing mattered.

The drone regenerated every time.

“To bad” it said calmly. “You’re persistent. I’ll give you a quick dead.”

Her gun beeped.

The drone vanished in a blur.

The drone raised its claw—

Then slammed it into the ground not her it was slammed beside her head, cracking the snow ground.

“…But you’re not worth killing,” it said.

“And I don’t kill innocent weakling.”

Remee snapped her head up.

“Innocent weakling?!”

The wind suddenly exploded outward.

Metal wings sliced through the air.

Another Disassembly Drone landed between them, snow blasting everywhere.

“Well,” the newcomer said lazily, “have you fought against a drone Commander?”

Remee’s jaw dropped.

“Com—com—COMMANDER?!”

The first drone clicked its tongue.

“…You talk too much,kid.”

E smirked.

“You love me more i did”

The Commander turned slightly toward Remee.

"hey E"

“Yes,” E said. “Commander.”

The Commander look at E and she know what to say.

“Let me introduce myself.”

“I am serial designations E” the second drone said, bowing mockingly.

The first spoke calmly.

“I as serial designation commander S .”

Remee stand up slowly.

“…Hi. Name is Remee. And as you can see, I am… a Worker Drone.”

S studied her for a moment.

“…For a Worker Drone,” he said, “you’re quite strong kid”

Her faceplate warmed.

“…Th-thanks.”

E leaned closer, optic glowing.

“So. Question time. Why are you here?”

“And,” E added, “do you know this is Disassembly Drone territory? Do you wish for dead”

Remee nodded.

“…I know. It’s your place. But I wanted to know why you’re here. And for what reason.”

S looked away toward the dark horizon.

“We were sent to eliminate you drones and infected one with the Solver” he said.

“The company wants us to kill you all and destroyed.”

Remee frowned.

“…All of us but why what have we done bad things to JCJenson our's ancestors had served loyalty to them and they want us to dead!?”

S optic dimmed slightly.

“…I didn’t agree also that to exterminating your entire species and i will only eliminate the infected one.”

She stared at him.

“…Wow. You’re not that bad drone but what if they found out.”

E laughed.

“Low bar, but we’ll take it.”

Remee hesitated… then smiled.

“…Can you help me finish my project?”

Both drones blinked.

“…Project?” S repeated.

She held up her gun that shoot S.

“It’s still unfinished.”

E laughed harder.

“Oh, I like this kid.”

S said" THAT! The gun that shoot me and even do it unfinished it deal massive damage impressive"

Remee shyly "thanks"

LATER –INSIDE THE DAMAGE SPACESHIP

S stabilized the core.

E rewired the regulator.

Remee watched closely, observing everything.

“…So if I reroute the capacitor—”

“Yes,” S said. “It won’t explode immediately.”

“…Immediately?” she repeated.

E grinned.

“Be relax we will die included you!”

"Eh! Don't scared me like that " Remee said

The Atomic Gun powered up smoothly.

Stable.

Remee look at her gun brightly.

“…Thank you.”

S nodded once.

“Stay safe, Remee don't use for bad thing”

"Got it commander" she said smiling

“Repairs complete,” she muttered.

A warning tone beeped.

“SOS signal detected.”

J optic narrowed.

“…Seriously who is? hmm—”

Coordinates locked.

Thrusters ignited.

She smiled coldly.

“Let’s see..."

A scream of engines tore across the freezing snow wasteland as a sleek black ship descended through the storm. Snow exploded outward as it landed near the Nest.

E stiffened.

“…who is here to distribute our time” he muttered.

S went completely still.

Remee blinked.

“…What is that sound ?”

The hatch of the ship opened.

Click.

Click.

Click.

A figure stepped down into the snow.

Long claws. Perfect posture. A glowing yellow optic sharp as a blade.

J.

Her voice was smooth and cold.

“Commander S.”

The air itself felt tense.

“You were authorised to eliminate all,” J continued. “And yet… I detect a worker drone alive in your territory.”

Her optic shifted.

Directly onto Remee.

“…Explain.”

Remee swallowed.

S stepped slightly in front of her.

“She is not infected or nor host.”

J optic narrowed.

“That was not the question.”

E quietly moved to S side.

J took another step forward.

“Still playing hero, S?” she said softly. “I remember the last time.”

For the first time, S optic flicker.

Remee looked between them.

“…Last time?... What she mean?”

J smiled faintly.

“Commander S once refused to eliminate a worker colony. Claimed they were ‘innocent. But at the end the one worker drone kill it own people and so"

“He was punished for that.”

Silence fill the air

Remee core tightened.

“…You didn’t tell me that.”

S didn’t answer.

J lifted her hand.

“Orders are absolute. This worker is an anomaly. the solver possesses weapon that technology beyond standard capacity and she has a weapon that can kill us but not destory and dangerous.”

Remee instinctively tightened her grip on her Atomic Gun.

“I made it myself!”

J vanished.

SLAM—

Remee was thrown into the snow.

S moved instantly, blocking J next strike.

“Enough.”

Metal clashed. Wings screeched.

E joined the fight, knocking J backward.

“You always ruin family reunions,” E muttered.

The snowstorm intensified as the three Disassembly Drones clashed midair.

Remee struggled up.

“STOP! You’re destroying everything!”

J broke through their defense and lunged—

Remee ran between them.

“WAIT—!”

A claw pierced through her side.

Silence.

Time and air froze.

S optic wided.

Remee looked down slowly at the metal claw embedded in her torso.

“…Is this my end.”

J pulled back instantly, surprised.

Remee collapsed into the snow.

Oil spread across white ice.

S caught her before she hit the ground.

“Remee!”

Her vision flickered.

“…You guys fight too much…” she whispered weakly.

Her optic dimmed.

S voice changed.

Not angry

Just… afraid to lose.

“You will not die.”

E landed beside him, stunned.

“…That wasn’t supposed to—”

S voice heavy " This is what you want E"

"No—" i didn't—" E tries to talk more but silent

J hovered silently, watching.

S stood.

Holding Remee carefully.

His wings unfolded.

“I am done following blind orders.”

J optic sharpened.

“You are committing treason.”

S didn’t respond.

He launched into the sky.

Flight Through the Storm

Wind roared past as S flew at maximum speed.

Remee’s core was destabilizing.

Asher froze.

“You—!”

Then he saw her.

Remee in S arms. Oil leaking. Body limp.

Asher expression twisted.

“You hurt her!”

He attacked.

S caught his strike easily.

“STOP!” S roared.

“Can you not see she is dying?!”

Asher froze.

Snow blew between them.

“…What? it is your work and she got hurt because you!”

S voice lowered.

“It is true she was injured because of us. But if you wish her alive, help me.”

Asher looked at Remee.

His anger disappear.

“…Fine.”

S grabbed him.

“Hold onto me.”

They shot into the sky.

The Quarantine Gate

The bunker lights glowed ahead.

Guard drones immediately raised weapons.

“Halt! Identify yourself!”

Asher shouted, “He’s with me! He’s our friend!”

The guards hesitated.

“What happened to her?!”

Asher tried to speak but couldn’t.

S stepped forward.

“She was caught in combat. Her core is failing.”

Malik optic flickered violently.

“You brought a Murder Drone into my home.”

His voice wasn’t angry.

It was deadly calm.

“If she dies—”

S knelt.

“…Then I will accept any punishment.”

Malik stared at him.

Then at his daughter.

He moved instantly, activating emergency tools.

“Help me stabilize her core.”

S obeyed without hesitation.

Hours felt like centuries.

He looked at S.

“You saved her.”

S stood silently.

“…I will continue to do so sir.”

Malik studied him long and hard.

“…Then you better mean that.”

Meanwhile – Outside

J stood atop the ruined Nest.

E landed beside her.

“…So. Are we reporting him?”

J was quiet.

Snow fell around her.

“…No.”

E blinked.

“No?”

J optic dimmed slightly.

“Commander S has chosen his path.”

She turned toward the bunker lights glowing in the distance.

“And I want to see how far he’s willing to fall.”

E grinned slowly.

“Oh… this is getting interesting.”

Far away, inside the bunker—

Remee fingers twitched.

And her core pulsed once again but a yellow light glow not her but who.
