I am Hua Mianyu, a daughter from the prestigious Hua. And my father currently held the position in Affairs Ministry and was highly respected in the Court.

And likely so, I was directly granted the position of Fourth Rank Consort as soon as I entered the harem at 16.

Soon, she offer me the favour of sleeping with the Emperor to bore him an heir, and unfortunately that night was also the night someone planned on poisoning the Emperor. He who has already doubt the Empress Dowager blame me for the attempted assassination and that make me realise what a fool he was. Why would I poison him in such night? With no help from the Empress Dowager who chose to remain silent. I was once again banished to the Cold Palace and die there for the second time.

3. Side with the Empress

From the sound of it, that was the most horrible option at first sight. Atleast with the favor from the Emperor or Empress Dowager secure the utmost luxury of birthing a heir. But siding with the Empress doesn't offer that luxury.

But one thing I observed from this two failure is that, all consort that's with the Empress were well and comfort. Everyone would barely notice that because while someone like Second Rank Consort would shamelessly flaunt all the gifts from the Emperor or when someone like Noble Consort gaining all the respect by being the perfect toy for the Empress Dowager, the one like First Rank Consort would be comfortable and in peace.

And with all this life I've been given, I realised that those comfort and peace is the most luxurious things to exist.

I want the position the First Rank Consort has, sure she is a capable companion for the Empress, but that doesn't mean she's irreplaceable.
