As I finished preparing a buffet of food that I had used almost all my savings to buy, I smiled for almost the hundredth time today as it was my sweet sixteenth birthday.

I went to the living room where my family was sitting to ask my sister to help me to come and help me to serve the food when I heard echoing laughter. It was from my mom. I was so curious as to why she was laughing so joyfully. My mom was the strict but very loving type of parent. But she never joked with money, and she only laughed like this when she was dealing with money matters - huge money matters.

I peeked, so I could hear what she was saying, and I didn't want to ruin the fun by just walking in out of the blues in a situation where my mom was this happy. After a joyous laugh, I heard her say "Mr. Robinson said he was going to pay £10,000 to marry Luna then we can buy that shoe that costs £5,000 for Chelsea and then go on a shopping spree. It'll be so fun. Luna has been such a drag in our lives"

I felt so bad as I covered my mouth with my hands so that no one could hear me cry about my miserable life. I now really realize that buying gifts for yourself does have a meaning like an old school friend told me. Means that I am hated and unwanted. That no one wants me and just like my mom said, a drag on their lives. I surprised myself with gifts that were prepared and wrapped by me. What a life u really live.

I took a few of my clothes and went to the next place that I felt wanted except from that dreadful place I called home-Jay. I ran outside my home and to the compound next to mine where I saw Jay sitting on the grass watching the stars. He looked so handsome, cute, and like the only person I knew I could rely on which he was. I almost forgot my sorrows while staring into Jay's handsome face.

I ran into his compound as I said "Babe, I miss u so much." He saw the bag in my hand and asked me about it. I then explained the whole story as I sobbed. He asked" Isn't Mr. Robinson the 50 Year-old bald man that drinks all day with his parents'inheritance?" I nodded and he rubbed my head. I felt loved with him. He loved me so much.

He then said" Let's elope. We'll plan our lives there, finish school, graduate and live our life in a whole different town where no one knows." I thought it was a great idea and agreed 'cause I could get away from Mr. Robinson and my family and spend the rest of my life with the person I loved most. It was a great deal, so I agreed,, and we left to start a new life

Jay packed his bags and all his cards, so we could start a new life. I didn't carry most of my necessities, so Jay said that his card will take care of it all. I was so happy yet heartbroken. This is something I never imagined since I was born. I said to myself "So my worth is no more than £10,000."

Jay asked what the matter was, but I told him to never mind. After all, my matter had been solved and Jay was doing his best to solve the matters at hand, yet I was still thinking of what had happened instead of focusing on my future and thinking of how I would spend the rest of my life with my god-like boyfriend.

He was perfect in every way. So good-looking, so cute, so handsome, and so lovely. Words can't explain the beauty I saw in him. He was simply everything I knew I wanted. He has the attitude, shook other women off at school, and cared for me. I knew he cared because he brought me snacks at school and knew when everything was off. He also never let anyone touch or hurt me in school, also the jealous and doting type of boyfriend I really loved and my bestie since I was young.

While I was lost in thought about my Greek looking boyfriend, I heard my name from my house and I ran to his car from inside his house into his car where all our luggage had been earlier parked and Jay drove off. I asked him about the remaining things, but he said that he would come back for it later, and I got ready for my new life. That proved his love for me was so large and really genuine.

It would be so fun, and it would really be like an endless sleep-over with the love of my life.

We were just a normal couple with no intimacy over the three years that we had been dating. I always believed that the right time would come, and that the right time I prayed would be during this period where we had our privacy and no one was obstructing us.

We drove into nowhere. We just wanted to live a life where no one knew us and where we knew no one that place would be somewhere we didn't know. Likewise, we couldn't get a house immediately that night, so we took refuge under a large tree where we made our tents. It was close to a place where we saw a house to be rented. We applied for rent that night, and the next morning we were being shown around the house. We paid immediately because we weren't looking for anything special just a place far from home and that is what we got.

By 2 pm we had the keys to our new home, our very own little home. Jay had no family so we adapted really fast. It really is a lot to down for me.
