"Mam do you need anything??"

"Tea,coffee,macha,cappuccino,americano....anything??",the hostess asked.

"No,I am fine".Vera replied.

"Passengers onboarding ,please attach your seatbelts because we are going to land soon to the Mainland Port city.Please attach your seatbelts as we are slowly dropping in height".an announcement rang up on the mic.

"It has been 10 years since I left Mainland Port City huh",Vera murmured by herself.

She checked her phone as it had been in the airplane mode.

"Flight 20012 ,Naoda International Airlines,is to arrive shortly by 10 minutes.I repeat Flight 20012,Naoda International Airlines is to arrive shortly by 10 minutes to the Mainland Port City.Passengers travelling to the Arab Emirates, Please line up for your flight."

It had been 10 years since Vera have left her homeland...the Mainland Port City,capital of the Union Sairees.Mixed with underlying emotions she is now checking out from the airport.

Her life is full of distress.

Her PA phoned her just a little later.....

"Mam ,have you arrived???"her PA Stacy asked.

"Yes just now",Vera replied."Are you on your way???"she added.

"Yes mam,but I still need a uber right now because your cars are all engaged right now".

"Each and every one???"

"Yes mam."she replied.

"Okk,I am waiting".Vera replied.

Suddenly......(phone rings)

Vera checks on the phone and notices,

MR HAMILTON.

"I have waited for this call for a long time."Vera murmured under her breath.She picks up the call and hears a gush of sound ,an inexplainaible scolding ringing in her ears.

"You wench",he shouted."How long do you plan on keeping us awake all this time???I had been trying to contact you for the past 10 years and now we get a hold of you ,you disgusting brat."shouted her father.

"I am not the disgusting one,the one disgusting is always in front of you."Vera protested."And how long you have been awake???10 years?? I don't think you have ever contacted me all these 10 years. I have been suffering, filled with guilt and regret .Did you think about considering my desicion those days???"

"I don't want to hear any excuse,I think you should come to your sister's marriage celebration. ",her father roared.

"I don't fear your words anyways.Our relationship ended the day you three me out of the house in the name of marriage.And according to my predictions, she should be married na???"Vera roaring over her voice.

Some people in the airport somehow listened to the conversation and were eavesdropping on the further fight.

"All these years you never thought about me when I ,your blood related daughter suffered in distress. But to win the affection of that mistress you treated them like bringing them more importance than me.You destroyed my life by marrying me to an unworthy man.You are blind, father.You still don't know what to cherish most.Till you don't understand ,goodbye!!!!"

"All these years I have been riding everyone's coattails. It's time that I stand upright a little bit."

"Have you reached the airport yet, Stacy??",Vera enquired.

"I am still on my way mam,it's bustling down here by the bypass routes.I am trying to reach as fast as I can".Stacy replied.

"And yes,Stacy,please keep my identity a secret till I make an official revelation in the all axis companies summit on the upcoming month "Vera told."We don't need to reveal ourselves till we badly need to."

"All that you wish Mam",Stacy replied.

As Vera was standing by the airport check out counter she saw amazing couples holding hands with each other ,kissing and soliciting their love .She somehow felt a little sad,a little happy but nonetheless her unhappiness and her loss of youth overcame her mental satisfaction.Her heart quivered like a mad dog and the coming autumns' chilly wind blew over her hair rustling it .She recombed her hair ,ruffling it a little by her hand and pinning it down with a clip.Her middle aged demeanor gave a different enigmatic aura into the season of eternal love.

"10 years of life has been spent to solicit my dreams...but it was a worth it than spending my time rearing children as a housewife with no proper aim in life. ",Vera sighed .

Vera's life had been very distressful for 15 years.She was not loved by her own father whom her mother divorced at the age of 5 when he caught him and bartender girl performing adultery.Maybe it was a misunderstanding, maybe her father lost his sanity and control while drinking.Her mother gave away her custody to her father and remarried again.But to say,she found out that her recent husband was infertile, when she decided to divorce him too.She married again when Vera was 28 years and conceived two children for him.

Vera was often bullied in the middle school for a drunk and wasted father who was a adulterer and her now "gone" mother who gave up her custody taking her up as a" jinx" child.

"Stacy there you are.I have been waiting for you for ages by now",Vera said with a tinge of dissatisfaction.

"Mam ,next time I'll be on time during your arrival,I pledge "Stacy replied.

"You don't have to be tensed Stacy,"Vera replied. And it is better to keep my identity undercover.Lavish styles may attract people's attention and blow my cover ".

*It had been pretty hard for her life to manage though.Now she is mo more a broken willow,but a tough steel who knows to fight her way back.

She slowly picked her luggage up,while stacy was completing the formalities in the check out counter.Vera was panting little as she slowly picked up her luggage and placed it in the wagon back seat.She took the rear and told Stacy to hurry up.

"Mam ,I am coming up in a bit....she hurriedly said'".

"No need to hurry,just pace up a little"...Vera replied.

"Guess ,I will just go...."She mumbled among herself..
