Here I am sitting on the edge of my bed, wondering how today will go in school. After my best friend Anna humiliated me yesterday at school. Here's what happened_

‎     The day before present day.....................

‎Ohhh I almost forgot, I'm Mirabel, Mira for short. Now let's continue

‎      Mira woke up feeling refreshed, brushed her teeth and took her bath before going downstairs for breakfast. The smell of pancakes filled the atmosphere and immediately she knew her mum was awake.

‎       Good morning mum,she said as she hugged her mum from behind.

‎        Kira her mother smiled sweetly, "good morning sweetheart", she said as she turned around to face her daughter.

‎     Hmm you look happy today

‎      Yes mum I am

‎Kira raised an eyebrow. "and what could be the reason for my sweetheart's happiness?"

‎      Mira stroked her chin gently, as of thinking.

‎      Well to be honest, I actually don't

‎      know, I just have this feeling that 

‎      something good will happen today.

‎   Huhum I hear you. Go sit I'm gonna   

‎   bring you your breakfast. Kira said

‎   signaling her with her eyes.

‎Mira nodded and hopped like a little child to the table

‎   She quickly finished eating. Bye mum!!!!

‎She said and headed for school.

She stood at the entrance of

‎{GREEN HILLS HIGH SCHOOL} and was about to enter when she heard her name from behind.

‎      Mira!!!! Mira wait up!!!. She turned around, and there she was, her best friend Anna.

‎       Heyy what's up Anna, Mira said with a broad smile.

‎        Urgh!!, I've been calling you, where was your mind? Anna replied frustratedly.

‎        Oh come on Anna, why are you getting all so worked up?  I just didn't hear you. Mira said playfully without noticing the hateful look on Anna's face.

‎          Anna quickly changed the expression on her face like a chameleon, and then she smiled and said, "Yeah I knew that. I'm just tired that's all".

‎          Tired?

‎        Yeah you heard me correctly. Why don't we go in, she said to Mira. And with a mischievous grin she walked pass Mira.

‎     Mira didn't fail to notice the grin on her face, but she decided not to dwell on it. She shrugged and followed closely behind Anna.

‎    The school hallway was as usual, always busy.  Three girls started walking towards their direction and intentionally bumped into Mira from behind, Mira fell to the ground because she didn't see them coming.

‎       " Ohh I guess you didn't see that coming hahaha!!". Raya one of the three girls laughed heartily as she spoke.

‎        "I'm sure she didn't". The remaining two girls, Yina and Sandra said in chorus and also laughed.

‎These three girls are the school bullies, more like school terrors. Their life's work is to make a person's life miserable. They call themselves (THE RAYS).

‎  Everyone in the whole school always wonder who's the forth person in their group because each of the letters in the word RAYS represents their names

‎R- represents Raya

‎A- ?

‎Y- Yina

‎S- Sandra

‎    The A is the mystery, no one knows the one with the letter A.

‎Well actually it's confusing because, many people in the school's name starts with the letter A.  So no one can point fingers.

Mira stared at the three bullies and felt like pulling their hairs out. If stares could kill people, I'm sure the bullies would have died a thousand times. She stood up from the ground and moved closer to them. As she was about to speak, she noticed the football team coming in from the entrance, then her eyes shifted to the captain of the team, Troy - the most popular guy in school. his tall frame, masculine body and handsome face made almost every girl fall for him. Mira noticed that he stopped half way towards them, he was talking to his best friend Leo, so they both didn't notice the situation at hand. Only three guys from the team approached the girls, Jay, Mike, and Lucas, of course they were each of the bullies' boyfriends.

"Hi girls" Jay said and then caught sight of Mira. Mira then decided to proceed confronting them, but as she took another step towards the girls, Anna her best friend put out her foot which made Mira trip and fall again.

As she fell their laughter echoed through the hallway. Mira couldn't believe what had just happened. "No i must be mistaken my best friend didn't just do that" she thought to herself, but when she looked up she saw Anna laughing with the others and giving each of them others high fives.

Mira couldn't help but shed tears.

"An... Anna did you - j-just".... She wasn't able to complete her sentence as water started raining on her body. She then looked up again to find out that Anna was the one pouring the water on her body. Mira was wearing a plain white tee-shirt which revealed her underwear when spilled with water.

"Ohh is that a green bra"

"No i think it's a little bit brown"

"Ha, ha, ha !!!"

Laughter and gossips echoed throughout the hall ways.

Mira felt like the ground should open up and devour her. She felt her vision become blurry but before she passed out she heard a very angry voice "What the heck is wrong with you guys? get out now, all of you!!!". Then she finally passed out.

Mira slowly opened her eyes and was welcomed with a banging headache

"Ouch!!", She exclaimed while putting her hands on her fore head. "Where am I?" she thought while searching the whole surrounding with her eyes, then she finally concluded "I am in the school's infirmary". So as she got up to leave, the school's nurse was coming in.

"Miss, where are you going?" the nurse asked.

"Well i'm okay now ma'am, so i can leave right?"

The middle aged nurse then ran some check ups on her. "you can leave now miss uhm?...

Ma'am my name is Mira, Mirabel Roberts.

"Okay miss Roberts you are free to go now!"

"Thank you ma'am" Mira said with a smile on her face.

As she was about to leave, the nurse called out to her.

Miss Roberts!!!, Don't forget to thank that gentle man who brought you here.., no I mean the gentle man who carried you here" She said and chuckled.

"What gentle man" Mirabel thought to herself.

"Ma'am what do you mea...". She wasn't able to complete the question because as she looked up the middle aged nurse wasn't there anymore.

She wanted to look for her but stopped in her track due to the fact that all the memories of what happened earlier started flooding her head.

Tears started flowing down her eyes as she walked out of the infirmary. Then she walked towards the hallway to get her books but all eyes were on her.

"She's the girl with the green bra right ha". A girl spoke.

"Yes she is" another boy said.

Ha Ha!! Laughter and mockery echoed throughout the hallway.

Mira couldn't bear it anymore, her legs got weak and she fell to the ground sobbing uncontrollably.

"Hey!! stop that right now!!". A feminine but strong voice spoke from behind.

Then almost immediately, the girl who was making fun of Mira got slapped by whoever had that voice.

"How dare you slap me"

Jessica, the one with the voice then scolded - "What do you mean, how dare I?, I will do it again if you don't get the hell away from here. And trust me you wouldn't be able to leave here without an injury if that happens."

The girl who got slapped had no other choice but to run away, she was scared as hell, that she fell while running.

Mira chuckled a little bit then looked at Jessica.

Jessica was wearing a green shirt, with rolled up sleeves, and also a black short paired with a timberland shoes. She was obviously, a tomboy.

"Thanks" Mira said.

"No problem" Jessica said while stretching out her hands to help Mira up.

Mira took her hands and got up.

"Why do you let them bully you like that"

Mira was silent

"Any way let's go to class Mira, it's already time"

"Alright" i mean "no i cant", i prefer to go home"

"Why"

"Well because i don't think i can face anyone now"

"Oh i understand Mira, let me walk you out"

They both reached the entrance of the school and Mira left for home.

She managed to avoid her mom the whole afternoon, even when her mom asked why she just came back early, she told her mom that she wasn't just feeling well.

In the evening, her mind wavered to what the nurse told her, she wondered who the gentle man was, and slept off while thinking.
