" My Rival Mate "

Episode 1: A New Roommate

Place: Chiang Mai, Bangkok City

Packing the suitcase meant stepping into a new journey — a new high school, new dreams, and a completely unfamiliar life.

There he was — a boy struggling to lift his own suitcase.

“Ah! Why is this suitcase so heavy? Maybe my mother had put a brick inside it.”

He stopped dramatically in the middle of the pathway, glaring at the suitcase like it had personally betrayed him.

“Unbelievable. First day and I’m already suffering.”

He looked around.

Where was On?

He checked the time. Then again. Then again.

“One hour. I waited for ONE HOUR.”

Just as he was about to explode, On finally appeared, walking casually like nothing was wrong.

“Hi!”

Spark’s eye twitched.

“You absolute idiot! Why didn’t you come pick me up?! I’ve been waiting here like an abandoned child!”

On burst out laughing. “Relax. I didn’t know you’d come this early.”

“Early? I came on time!”

“Time is relative,” On replied calmly.

Spark stared at him.

“I will end this friendship today.”

After taking Spark to the faculty office, On showed him the dorm and the room he had to live in until his high school was over.

Spark glanced around the room.

“Wait a minute… don’t you think there are two beds?”

After seeing those two beds, On replied, “Why not? You have to live with your roommate. Don’t think that you are going to live alone.”

On grinned. “Dorm rules. No one lives alone.”

Spark looked personally offended.

“I value my privacy.”

Before On could stop him, Spark stormed out of the room like a dramatic protagonist in a tragic drama.

As Spark rushed inside the manager’s room, he saw a fat man eating cookies and watching a drama on his phone.

“Hey, Manager!”

The manager was shocked to see him. He quickly put his phone and cookies aside, though crumbs were still left in his mouth.

“What, huh? Why did you come here, dashing like a rollercoaster?”

“In this faculty, is it important to have a roommate?” Spark asked, making a disgusted face.

“Yes, everyone must have one roommate for them. No one lives alone,” the manager replied.

“But I don’t want any roommate. They can invade my privacy,” Spark said stubbornly.

After hearing this, the manager became angry and threw him out of the room.

“Go and make your own private faculty if you don’t want a roommate!”

Back in the room, he aggressively arranged his clothes, slammed drawers shut, and muttered to himself.

“Sharing a room. With a stranger. What if he snores? What if he steals my snacks? What if he breathes too loudly?”

He collapsed onto the bed.

“Why is my life like this…”

“Fuck… why do I have to share my room with a stranger?”

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

He slowly got up, walking to the door like a ghost who had given up on existence.

He opened it.

And then—

He blinked.

A tall boy stood in front of him.

Neatly dressed. Calm expression. Headphones resting around his neck. One hand casually in his pocket.

He looked… annoyingly good.

Spark narrowed his eyes.

“Who the hell are you?”

The boy didn’t answer.

Instead, he stepped inside like he already owned the place.

Spark’s jaw dropped.

“Excuse me?! I asked you something!”

The boy finally turned around.

His voice was calm. Too calm.

“I’m your new roommate and my name is Day.”

Silence.

Spark’s brain stopped working for exactly three seconds.

"This is going to be a disaster."

Episode 2: New Enemy Unlocked

Spark was still in shock.

Not because Day was handsome.

But because that suitcase beside him looked like it weighed more than a human being.

As Day calmly placed it on the floor and opened it, Spark stood with his arms crossed, watching like a suspicious detective.

Books.

A stack of them.

Then a sleek foldable laptop.

Then more books.

Then neatly folded clothes.

And more clothes.

Spark blinked.

“…Are you planning to build a library,” he finally said, “or open a shopping mall inside this room?”

Day paused mid-unpacking and slowly looked up at him.

“What are you talking about?”

Spark gestured dramatically toward the bed. “Who brings this many things to a dorm? Are you moving in permanently or what?”

Day sighed softly. “These are my belongings. I didn’t steal them from your side of the room.”

Spark clicked his tongue. “Unbelievable.”

Day ignored him and continued arranging his things with irritating calmness. That calmness made Spark even more annoyed.

Why was this guy so composed?

Spark followed him around the room, talking non-stop.

“You know there’s limited space, right? Don’t let your clothes invade my territory.”

Day stopped.

Slowly.

Then he turned around.

“What is your problem with me?” he asked, his voice no longer soft. “You’ve been interrogating me like I committed a crime.”

Spark didn’t hesitate.

“My problem is you being my roommate.”

Silence fell between them.

Day stared at him for a moment before letting out a quiet breath.

“Seriously? That’s your problem?” His eyes narrowed slightly. “I don’t care about you. So stop this nonsense and go to sleep. It’s late.”

That hit Spark’s pride harder than expected.

He wanted to argue more — but exhaustion was already dragging his body down. So he threw himself onto the nearest bed.

Finally.

Peace.

For five seconds.

Suddenly—

He felt himself being shoved.

Spark fell halfway off the mattress.

“Ouch! What the hell?!” He shot up, glaring. “What’s your problem?! Can’t you speak nicely instead of pushing me? That hurt!”

Day stood beside the bed, looking down at him.

“That’s my bed,” he said simply. “Yours is on the right side.”

Spark froze.

Then his face turned red.

“Oh really?” He grabbed a pillow and threw it straight at Day’s chest. “I’m sleeping here. If you have a problem, go complain to the manager. Or sleep on the sofa!”

Day caught the pillow and threw it back — this time aiming for Spark’s face.

“You’re unbelievable.”

“And you’re annoying!”

Within seconds, the room turned into a battlefield.

Pillows flew.

Blankets were dragged.

They were shouting like children fighting over candy.

Then—

Knock. Knock.

Both froze.

Spark stormed toward the door and opened it.

Their next-door neighbor stood outside, looking half-asleep and extremely done with life.

“I’m really sorry about the noise,” Spark said quickly. “There’s a dog in my room named Day, and we’re fighting over a bed.”

Day glared behind him.

The neighbor blinked. “…You two should stop fighting. It’s almost midnight.”

Spark forced a smile. “Yes. We’ll stop.”

Door slammed.

Spark turned around slowly.

“Let’s stop this fight,” he said coldly. “But I won’t let you sleep. I’ll stay awake the whole night if I have to.”

Day smirked slightly.

“Fine. I won’t sleep either.”

And just like that—

Neither of them slept.

The entire night was filled with stubborn silence and burning pride.

The next morning, Spark’s eyes were red. His head hurt. His mood? Ruined.

He glanced at Day, who looked equally exhausted.

Spark muttered under his breath,

“You are going to be my new enemy, Day.”

Day heard it.

And for the first time—

He smiled.

Episode 2 is out!

One bed. Two egos. Zero sleep.

Who do you think will win this war — Spark or Day? 👀✨

EPISODE 3 - I Got In Same Class !

At school :

The sharp ticking of the clock felt louder than usual.

Spark glanced at it once—and then again.

“Great… I’m going to be late.”

He rushed to the washroom, splashed water on his face, and looked up at the mirror.

He froze.

Dark circles stared back at him.

He leaned closer.

“When did I become a panda?” he muttered under his breath.

He clicked his tongue, grabbed his bag, and stormed out of the room. He didn’t even bother checking whether Day was awake or not.

Why should he care?

After all, they had wasted the entire night fighting over a stupid bed.

At School

On burst into laughter the moment he saw Spark.

“So you both fought and didn’t sleep the entire night just for a bed?”

Spark shot him a glare sharp enough to silence most people.

“Keep laughing. I dare you.”

The classroom was already half full when they entered. It was big, warm, and buzzing with energy. Some students were seated properly, flipping through notebooks. Others were roaming outside like free birds, enjoying the last few minutes before class.

Then the bell rang.

Within seconds, the chaotic noise shifted into formal silence as the teacher walked in.

“Good morning, students.”

“Good morning, ma’am,” the class echoed.

She placed her books down and smiled.

“I’m your new homeroom teacher. My name is Kit. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions. I’ll always be here to guide you. Now, take out your notebooks and get ready.”

The class settled.

Spark tried to focus.

Tried.

Then—

“May I come in, ma’am? I’m sorry for being late.”

The voice was calm.

Controlled.

Confident.

Spark’s head turned automatically.

And the world seemed to pause.

It was him.

Day.

Standing at the door like he belonged there.

Spark felt his stomach drop.

No.

No way.

Why is he here?

The classroom buzzed with whispers.

“That’s him, right?” “The quiz winner?” “He was in the news!”

Spark’s fingers tightened around his pen.

On leaned closer and whispered, “Are you dumb, Spark? That’s Day. His family is rich, and he recently won first prize in a very difficult quiz competition. He’s basically a perfect student.”

Spark’s jaw tightened.

Perfect?

Yesterday he fought with him over a bed.

Today he’s the golden boy?

Day walked past their row.

For a second—

Just one second—

Their eyes met.

A silent challenge.

Spark looked away first.

He hated that.

The entire class, Spark couldn’t focus.

Every time the teacher praised Day for answering correctly, something twisted inside him.

So what if he’s rich? So what if he’s smart?

That doesn’t mean he owns everything.

Including my room.

After class, the bell rang.

Spark stood up immediately.

He glanced at Day once more.

Day didn’t look impressed.

If anything, he looked slightly disgusted.

That annoyed Spark even more.

At the Faculty :

Spark grabbed On by the shoulder.

“On… tell me how I can change my roommate.”

On blinked, then slowly smiled.

“Oh? Planning something?”

Spark smirked.

“If I can’t change my roommate… then I’ll make him change.”

On’s grin widened. “So you’re going to prank him?”

Spark crossed his arms.

“I know he’s a ‘perfect’ student. But let’s see how perfect he remains when things start going wrong.”

He turned toward the corridor where Day had just disappeared.

His voice lowered.

“Day… your bad days are about to start.”

His eyes darkened slightly.

“Prepare yourself.”

And somewhere down the hall, Day paused for a moment—

As if he had felt the storm beginning.
