Old Watch
One sunny morning, when the sun streamed through the wall of one of the popular schools in that country, the school bell rang. All the students were in a hurry to enter the classroom.
There was a girl who was also in a hurry, bumping into a guy named Nicholas, the athletic body guy with messy black hair who was 2 years older than her.

Oopss I am sorry. (awkwardly)
Nicholas
(Stopping. Looking at her, the 158 cm tall girl then walking by) Okay

The bell rang again. All students were going to the cafeteria and have lunch.

That day they both sat and had lunch together. And.....

After they had lunch that day, Alice and Nicholas were getting closer.
Alice
You won't dare! (Jiggling)
Nicholas

Alice

(Standing up on the table) Everyone! May I have your attention?
They were now in the cafeteria full of students and some teachers.

(Covering her face) What is he gonna do this time? (talking to herself with both hands covering her face)
Nicholas
Alright, I have an important announcement to make. (Looking down to Alice)
I am now officially date with Ms. Alice Bowman here.
Other Students
Oh wow. The ice prince finally has a princess
Alice
(Blushing and keeps covering her face)

I am going out of here. (Standing and making her way to go out from the cafeteria awkwardly)
Nicholas
(Jumping down and catch her)
Where do you think you are going?
(trying to catch her)
Alice
Om My! (running as fast as she could to escape from his arms that try to pull her into)
Nicholas
(Smiling and staring at her back as she passed)
When the school finished, Nicholas stands in front of the door. Waiting for Alice.
Alice
(Alice took her bag and ran towards him) Let's go!
They both walk away to the parking lot. Nicholas wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Trying to keep her closer all the way out. While his other hand was inside his pocket. So confident.
Nicholas
(Starting the car engine) I need you to come with me.
Alice
Where are we going? (Checking the time on her wrist)
Nicholas
One of my favorite spots in town.
The red car's engine humped steadily. The cool breeze rushed into open windows, caring the fresh scents in to the car.
When they got to the place, it was a hill with the green grass.
Alice
Wow! How do you know this place?
Nicholas
My mom used to take me here
They both lying down on the green grass. The grass beneath them was soft and cool; dotted with tiny white clover blossom. Nicholas laid on his side. Propping his head with one hand. Looking up at the sky.
Alice
(Taking a deep breath) This is so perfect.
Nicholas
(Lying sided to face Alice's body) No, you are perfect.
(Staring deep to her eyes then landed a soft kiss on her forehead)
Alice
(Closing her eyes) Mmm. Like what you see? (Smiling)
I have this gold dot in my left eye. Can you see it? (Closer to his body)
Nicholas
Yes, I can. It makes your eyes prettier.
They lay in silence for a long moment, listening to the buzz of bees in the clover, the distant cry of a hawk overhead. Nicholas closed his eyes for a second, then opened them again—still clear, still bright. The green of the grass, the blue of the sky, the warm brown of Alice’s hair as it fell across her face… all of it real, all of it there.
Nicholas
Ah, do you remember the watch that I dropped? (He broke the silence.)
Nicholas
It was my mom's. Her mom gave it to her, and now she passed it to me.
Alice
Oh yeah? That's why you seemed happy when I gave it back
Nicholas pull her body closer to his.
Alice
(Taking a deep breath again and smiling with her tiny pink lips)
Will you take me here again?
Nicholas

I never knew that this green hill could be so many different colors; bright like new leaves, deep like forest floor, pale like morning mist. (Staring at Alice's face)
All is better when you are here.
The race
Time goes by, Alice and Nicholas spent as much as time together.
Nicholas

Alice
My pleasure, your majesty. ( doing the Royal gesture)
They started to walk out of the music studio where Nicholas usually came on weekends to practice his play.
Nicholas
Oh baby, later I am going to have a race. Would you like to come and watch me?
Alice
I would love to but I promise my Dad to have a date with him. You know, Dad and daughter thing.
Nicholas
Ah, I see. I will text you later when I am done racing (Kissing her forehead and saying goodbye)
3 hours later around 6 pm, when Alice was having dinner with her Dad, her phone is ringing....
Benedict
This Benedict, Nicholas' friend. I think you should know....
Alice
(Her hands shaking. The spoon on her hand slipped She was sweating)
