I clung to the letter from my aunt, I wanted to cry, but there are no tears. Why am I so selfish? Why dId leave in this hell apartment alone??.

i left here because I've had enough of my uncle's abusive side, i just left for 1 year to ease the pain and anger inside me but i came back with nothing?.

As I kept regretting my decision Cap. Cesar spoke, his voice are gentle with authority…

"Your aunt dies 3 months when you left, she came to me to give you the letter and her saved money, she wanted you to inherit everything" he looked at me with pity.

I smiled fake "thank you Cap. Cesar" I said shortly, he takes a deep breath," I want you to know something elara…"

I can feel his gaze like he's about to announce something serious.

"Your cousin Ron and Your uncle is missing" my eyes widened, what does he mean?.

"I-i thought they left!?" I stammered something inside me felt a relief?, Cap. Cesar shook his head like I said something wrong.

"No, elara, the time your aunt dies your cousin and uncle had gone missing…" he said as I was about to speak he cuts me off and pulls out a paper inside the cabinet.

"This is the things that are found in the woods to bus station bench" he said and handed the papers, my eyes widened, I saw the necklace that I gave to Ron before I left, his shoes that have some blood in it.

My hands trembled I was thinking the worst way possible, when cap. Cesar spoke again with his gentle voice.

"elara, don't worry the police are still moving until now to find any traces of your cousin and uncle.." i looked at him, Cap. cesar is really kind, he always helps us especially my aunt when uncle started to abused her.

I nodded and kept glancing at the papers."ah, there's something i want to add elara" cap. cesar spoke again but this time he seems hesitated.

"please tell me cap. cesar i pleaded, i wanted to know everything. he finally spoke in deep and authority voice.

"Your cousin and uncle's case wasn't the only one, there are few people in this town missing as well..."

What!? What does he mean by that!?.

I stammered "What D-do you mean cap?" I ask.

He takes a deep breath "you see elara, tHere's been many mIssing cases in this town every year..." I can hear his voice trembled like he was nervous to say.

"Why dIdn't i see it in the news?" the town never release any news about people that had gone missing for over a year!.

"Because it will only make the people in this town to leave, our mayor doesn't want that" he saId, i can feel my nerves getting a bit irritated at his statement.

So the mayor wanted the people here to live here without knowing those cases? that'ss insane!. I take a deep breath and looks at him, he speaks again.

"elara, we also find out that those cases are connected" he grab the papers that are now on the table and put it back to the cabinet.

He looks at me with fear "before those missing people had gone missing, they reach to us police to tell about a strange figure wearing a cloak that they saw in their house or any place they are staying..."

i froze, my heartbeat started to rise fast, then that sink in. I saw that figure as well......

I keep recalling the words Cap. Cesar told me about the cloak figure, I looked around the streets I was the only one walking.

Since the police station is far from the apartment, I need to ride a bus to go home.

What is the purpose of that cloak figure? Why does it keep showing to every people before they had gone missing...

I suddenly froze and looked at the bus station bench, I can feel my legs shaking, and my heart beats fast.

The cloak figure is sitting on the bench looked at me, its face can't be seen

This is the chance, I need to talk to that figure to find out the truth I don't know why I'm brave enough but I sat beside it.

I can feel its gaze locked on me, then I looked, it looks like a man's figure. As I keep looking he suddenly spoke with a deep voice.

"You want to find your cousin?" I didn't answer but kept looking at the man in front me.

A deep sound chuckle escapes his mouth as I keep locking my eyes at him, "your observant are you?".

This time he looked at the road, "if you want to find out the truth. Then follow me". He gets up as a bus suddenly appears.

Should I follow? I can't trust ThIs man. He looks strange, I take a deep breath and follows him anyway.

I clench my fist and suddenly felt a hint of fear, I saw many people sleeping in each seat, even children's and pregnant woman.

Behind tHe passengers I saw an empty seat, like it was meant to me.

I slowly walked, I can feel a gaze behind me, when I sat the bus started to move.

I wanted to leave to escape, but my mind kept telling me to stay, so I can find my cousin.

As I looked in front, I started to feel sleepy.I felt my body wants to sleep, so I did. I close my eyes...

...."oh my gosh? Where are we?" "what?" "what is this"... I woke up to the sound of voices everyWhere, i saw the same passenger's shouting and crying.

panic sets in and i get up, the bus isn't moving anymore and the door is open. but no one doesn't dare to leave the bus.

I can hear their whispered voice with fear and panic i slowly walk towards the bus door, as i slowly get down the bus. the sun's light hit my face.

when i open my eyes again, i saw a haunted but beautiful buildings like came straight to gothic city.

there's people everywhere, all eyes on us like we are a prey. the other passengers huddled together when they saw gun's and knives on the people's waist.

they didn't dare to come to us, they didn't talk. Just observing like we are their new prey.

god.. what i got myself into!?..

As I kept rethinking my dumb decisions, the old man earlier finally spoked we are in his whatever office in this city to register as an official resident, he has a scar on his left eye.

"Welcome to Dread fall city," he started the passenger's started to whisper while I keep my eyes locked on the old man.

he smirked "ah, excited?" i let out a tsk,

'Does He think we wanted this creepy place?!' I said in my mind in irritation.

He continued "don't worry everyone we will gIve you each a weapon" hIs smIrk wIdened as tHe get louder, i can see tHe clocks ticking it's still 4:12pm.

He letss's out a creepy laugh that made tHe entire room silent, suddenly the door swung opens and a beautiful lady walks in with sharp eyes. She's strolling a stroller filled with long box and keys.

He speaks while the lady is handing the box to us "ah, She's Ella my most trusted servant, she will give you each of those box that contains, assassin knifes."

I looked at the box I'm holding it was a delicate carved box with name in the middle inside that says, "Dread fall city" I muttered in a whisper, I can feel a bit of excitement and fear inside.

I can hear the others whIsperIng like "what is this" "maybe this is the weapon he's talking about" i just stayed silent.

i,m thrilled inside, but i still need to find Ron. he's my only relatives.

I stopped thinking when the old man spoke again,"don't be scared new ones, It will fade away if you start to use it" he laughs, his servant Ella is handing the key wIth gracefulness, i can feel Her gaze sharp as she looked at us.

her face looked gentle, but her eyes says oTherwIse, as I kept admIrIng her beauty. the door swung open agaIn.

ThIs time the cloak man that i followed came in, i still couldn't see his face, the old man speak his face has a chilling smirk.

"Ah phoveus you came" he said at The cloak man. while The cloak man is still quiet.

the old man suddenly looked at me a smirk still visible in his face,"your capture is quiet good these days phoveus".

I felt sick, what is he pointing at? I wanted to just leave here but i know stepping outside is more dangerous.

Phoveus just looked in my way and nodded, "the Nightshade Killer has taken a move again" the room is filled with whispers again.

Passenger1: what's nightshade?

Passenger2: i don't know

passenger3: I'm scared…

I take a deep breath, we are all scared in This place but what can we do? We are trapped here.

"Phoveus, lead them to their building" the old man finally cut the whispers and silence in the air.

The cloak man focus nods and walks first, while we follow. We are 20 people in total.

As we exIt i can hear the old man shouted.

"Good luck, for your first night" he said with a laugh that sent shivers down my spine. What does he mean by that?.

Phoveus finally stops in frontt of a large building, there are some people leaning on the wall or smoking.

"Your floor number is in Your keys, but before you go I wIll tell the rules that you must follow", phoveus said, i looked at the others and nodded with them.

RULE 1: YOU MUST FOLLOW THE RULES

RULE 2: EVERY FRIDAY ALL PEOPLE IN THIS CITY ARE ALLOWED TO KILL AT 1AM TO MIDNIGHT

RULE 3: IF YOU HEAR A SIREN DON'T LOOK OUTSIDE

RULE 4: JOIN THE RANKING SYSTEM

Lastly RULE:5 DO NOT GO OUT AT EXACTLY 8:00PM. Or you will face the consequences.

He saId i noticed one person raise her hand, phoveus looks at her as If telling her to speak.

"U-uh can i ask what's the consequences?" she stammered she looks like a nerd in a movie film.

Phoveus didn't speak long, but when he did a sudden fear consume us.

..."simple. you will face death"...
