Oduduwa jẹ́ ọ̀kan lára àwọn orúkọ ńlá nínú ìtàn Yorùbá. Àwọn ènìyàn sọ pé òun ni Ọ̀ọ̀ni àkọ́kọ́ ti Ilé-Ifẹ̀, àti pé òun ni baba gbogbo àwọn Yorùbá. People say he was the first Ooni of Ile-Ife, and he is the father of all Yoruba people. The story says Oduduwa descended from heaven with a chain, arrived at Ile-Ife, and started the Yoruba kingdom. Others say he brought civilization, crown, and tradition to Yorubaland. Till today, Oduduwa is a symbol of unity and origin for all Yoruba people, and people respect him as ancestor and king)
