Taehyung's knees wobbled in the sight in front of him. He can feel every fiber of his being breaking apart, throat drying up as he fixed his eyes on Jeongguk and his secretary eating and laughing together.
Is this why he didn't show up to their planned dinner today? Or he forgot about it?
Jeongguk came home late from the office again. Taehyung cooked him something for dinner, thinking that he might be hungry with all the work. He waited for him to get home, but he fell asleep on the dining area waiting for him.
It's 11PM, Taehyung's arms were numb. He lifted his head, eyes roaming around. The light stung his eyes though he realizes that the food he's prepared had gotten cold and it's late.
"Damn it,"
EPISODE 2
Kim Tae Hyung
You're not going to eat with me again?
Taehyung asks in a small voice, fumbling with his fingers. He stares at Jeongguk as he changes into his sleepwear, a big lump building in his throat
Jeon Jung Kook
No, you can eat alone. I'm already full.
Kim Tae Hyung
Even just for today? I've been waiting for you every day so we can eat together...
He hates it. He hates himself. He hates how vulnerable he sounds right now. And he hates how Jeongguk is not even sparing him a glance. He hates everything.
Jeon Jung Kook
I'm tired, Taehyung. I need sleep, not food.
Jeongguk pulls down his shirt, slipping in the comforter as he turned back to his husband.
Kim Tae Hyung
Just this once, please. I-I'm really hungry and I'm sick of eating alone--
Jeongguk snaps, making Taehyung flinch.
Jeon Jung Kook
Did you not hear me? I don't want to eat! I already did! Which part of that did you not understand!?
Taehyung's eyes welled up with tears, shaking inevitable. His chest started tightening up as the first set of tears fell free. Panic took over his system, breathing begins to pain him as he ran out of their shared room.
Out of all people, Jeongguk knows well that Taehyung hates being yelled at and it can trigger panic attack. What a big mistake, he doesn't even realise.
EPISODE 3
Taehyung craved for cotton candies. It's been a long time since he had one. He stopped in front of his usual cotton candy shop inhaling the sweet scent coming from the inside.
He was about to open the door but he stopped on his tracks when he spotted Jeongguk inside, with his secretary and....a kid? There's a big smile prominent in Jeongguk's lips the one he'd never seen on him whenever they're together.
Kim Tae Hyung
They look so happy— perfect.
Taehyung couldn't even get mad. Its the image of a family that he knows he cannot give to his husband. What a pity.
"They look good together, right?" One of the employees said, giggling as she hit his friend's arm jokingly. The other one agrees with her with no hesitance.
Taehyung couldn't agree more. They're right. They look good together, better. Staring at them now, hiding behind the walls― making himself look like a fool waiting for nothing.
He doesn't know what hurts more― the cuts on his wrists or seeing Jeongguk in someone else's arms.
