The sun had just adjusted itself in the sky…
But the troublemaker was already awake.

“What a boring day,”
(he sighed.)
𝐕
“What should I do? Let’s walk for some time.”
And just like that, danger began its shift.
While walking, he spotted Uncle Nim struggling down the road, carrying a heavy bag. The poor man could barely walk straight.

“I should help,”
(he thought proudly.)
He walked up with a bright smile.
𝐕
“Uncle Nim, how should I help?”
𝐕
(V stepped closer.)
“Let me carry your bag.”
Uncle Nim.
(Uncle Nim quickly nodded.)
“Yes. Help me.”
Uncle Nim.
(Uncle Nim added calmly,)
“Help me by not helping me. That will be the best help.”
V’s brain started loading.
Before he could understand—
Uncle Nim grabbed his bag and literally ran away like the wind.
Shaking it off, he continued walking.

“It looks so delicious,”
(V whispered.)
A devilish idea popped into his mind.
The stone flew past the mango…
…and shattered the house owner’s window instead.
Before his brain could process it, his legs made the decision.
He ran.
The house owner stormed out.
House owner ~
“What the hell?!”
(the man yelled.)
House owner ~
“I know it’s you, V! Don’t let me find you! Today I won’t spare you!”

“Noted!”
(V shouted while sprinting away.)
After running what felt like ten kilometers (it was probably fifty meters), V finally stopped near a bench.
Panting, he placed a hand on his chest.
𝐕
“Thank God I got saved,”
(he muttered.)
𝐕
“But probably not for very long.”
Then he looked up at the sky and pointed dramatically.
𝐕
“Yeah, you! What did I ever do to you? Can’t you let me enjoy my single life peacefully? What crime did I commit?!”
Before he could continue—
V suddenly stood up on the bench.
He shouted at the sky like he was in a courtroom drama.
The bench shook violently.
On the other side of it, a couple was mid-romantic eye contact.
The shake made the guy drop the tiny ring box he was secretly holding.
And stopped right near V’s shoe.
Amber
(The girl blinked.)
“What was that?”

“Oh? A box? Is this chocolate?”
The couple jumped up together.
Alan
“BRO WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”
(the guy yelled.)
𝐕
“I was having an emotional breakdown!”
(V defended.)
Alan
“NOT ON OUR PROPOSAL DAY!”
(the guy shouted.)
And right then—
A crow flew overhead.
Direct hit.
On his pointing finger.
Silence.
The couple stared.
Then burst out laughing so hard the guy almost forgot he was proposing.
𝐕
“…Yukkk!”
(V cried in betrayal.)
Alan
(The guy wiped tears from his eyes.)
“Even the bird rejected you.”
V looked at the sky, devastated.
𝐕
“First humans, now birds? Is anyone left who doesn’t hate me?!”
𝐕
(V narrowed his eyes.)
“Oh, you’re laughing now?”
𝐕
(V stood up dramatically.)
“Fine. Laugh. One day I’ll rise. I’ll shine. I’ll become something big!”
For absolutely no audience,
He decided to jump over that very low gate.
You're thinking whi right?
Because confidence? Unlimited.
Balance? Optional.
For 0.7 seconds, he was a hero.
Then—
His foot gently, lovingly, catastrophically kissed the gate.
And in true V fashion—
He didn’t fall heroically.
He didn’t fall tragically.
He fell in the most unnecessary way possible.
Even the crow didn’t react this time.

“…I could’ve just walked around.”
But instead of heaven or hell,
A giant glowing screen appeared in front of him.

A black-and-white glitch flickered in front of his eyes.
Static. Sparks. Pixels dancing like they had a mind of their own.
And then… a voice. Mechanical. Unfamiliar.
[User Identified: V
Status: Extremely Deceased]

“Excuse me?”
(V shot upright.)
𝐕
“Extremely?? There are levels now?”
"Congratulations, User V. You have been selected."
𝐕
“For what? I didn’t even fill out a form!”
[New Mission Assigned:
Reform the Villain.]
𝐕
“Like… the actual bad guy bad guy?”
V stared at the glowing screen.
𝐕
“So let me get this straight. I trip over a discount gate… and now I have to fix someone else’s personality?”
System- "Failure will result in permanent system entrapment.
No exit. No restart."

“I would like to speak to the manager.”
The screen glowed brighter.
[Request denied.
Transporting User.]
The world cracked.
Shattered into pixels.
Everything dissolved into light—
[Villain Profile Loading…]

(V squinted.)
“Wait. Pause. Show me his details.”
Name: Unknown
Title: Supreme Antagonist
Kill Count: Too many to count accurately.
No confirmed survivors.
Temper: Calm — until he decides not to be.
Hobby: Breaking people mentally before ending them physically.
Special Skill: He does not miss.
If he targets you, it’s already over.
Threat Level: Extremely High.

“…He breathes intimidation?”
Then slowly looked up at the glowing screen.
𝐕
“I want to go back. Let me die peacefully. I already died once unintentionally. I do NOT want to die horribly on purpose.”
So V did what V does best.
Into the white endless space.
Like that would solve anything.
After running for while here and their and again and again coming to the same place, same point-
V stopped, hands on knees.
𝐕
“WTH. I want to go. I’m fine even if I go to hell. I don’t need heaven. Just drop me anywhere. I won’t complain.”
System response- "No one is ready to take you. That is why you are here."
System- "Yes. You are not accepted above or below. You have no choice. Complete the mission. Earn release."
V processed that.
Very slowly.

“…So I got rejected by the afterlife.”
Then pointed at the screen.
𝐕
“If I die again, I’m writing your name in my complaint. Police will come for you.”
System-
"First: I have no name.
Second: You are already deceased.
Third: There is no police here. Only the System and its branches."

“…Wow. I can’t even file a report? No law? Just vibes? Just suffering? Just kill me why so much formality?”
System- "I do not have permission to terminate the host."
System- “But if you want to die? Don’t worry. The Villain offers fast service.”

“Oh wow, thank you for the helpful suggestion,”
(V said dryly.)

“If I could kill myself strategically, that would’ve been even more helpful.”
𝐕
“…What a waste of options.”
𝐕
“Fine. I’m already trapped. I’ll go with the flow. But since you dragged me into this— what should I call you?”
System- "I do not possess a name. As my host, you have authority to assign one."

“At least I have authority over something,”
(he muttered.)
𝐕
“Even if it’s just naming customer service.”
He looked at the glowing screen thoughtfully.
𝐕
“Finally! I’ve been dying to call someone ‘Kimchi’ for years. Perfect!”
The screen blinked. Static. Silent judgment.
System (mentally screaming):
Are you serious? Even humans have limits… You cannot name me Kimchi!

(V crossed his arms.)
“What? Too spicy? Too cute?”
System (more desperate):
Do you want to be trapped here forever? I suggest a reasonable name.
𝐕
(V groaned.)
“Fine, fine! No Kimchi… but it better be legendary.”
After what felt like ten minutes of staring contests, negotiation, and V muttering random names, he finally nodded.

“Alright… I’ll call you… Leo.”
Leo (System)
System (relieved): Acceptable.
V stared at the system, eyes wide.
𝐕
“Wow… you can change into an animal form? You’re looking so cute! Kimchi would have been perfect for you!”
Leo (System)
(Leo blinked slowly.)
“Thanks… but no need. I’m fine with Leo.”
V grinned, totally ignoring the refusal.

“Fine, fine, Leo it is. But just so you know… you’d have made a legendary Kimchi. Legendary!” 😌🔥
Leo’s screen flickered, silent judgment practically dripping from the pixels.

(V waved dramatically.)
“No worries, Leo. We’re going to be a great team! Maybe. Hopefully. Possibly. If I survive…”

He suddenly clapped his hands.

“Okay. Now be serious. Whose identity am I taking to reform this villain?”
The personality shift was… concerning.
Two seconds ago he was naming a cosmic system “Kimchi.”
Now he sounded focused.
Still, Leo accessed the data files.
A holographic image appeared in front of V.
Leo (System)
“This is the person whose identity you will be taking—”

(He leaned closer.)
“He looks exactly like me… but not the same. Why is he so beautiful? And fragile? I’m not soft like that. Look at him. He’s gorgeous.”

(He squinted.)
“…Am I developing a crush on my own alternate face?”
Leo’s screen glitched slightly.
If he had hands, he would’ve taped V’s mouth shut.
The host did not require answers.
The host created his own answers.
And responded to them.
But it wasn’t entirely V’s fault.
When you grow up talking to yourself long enough…
You don’t really wait for replies anymore.
Leo quietly saved that observation.
This mission was going to be… difficult. 😌
After blabbering for a full minute straight, V finally paused.

“Leo… why aren’t you saying anything? Am I not right?”
Leo (System)
Internally:
Did you let me talk? No.
You did not.
You held a full conference alone.
Leo (System)
Why am I even here? I want to resign.
He is half crazy.
He will make me fully crazy.
So instead—
Leo replied calmly,

“Yes. You are… right.”

(V nodded proudly.)
“I know.”
A holographic file expanded in front of them.
Leo (System)

Mother: Kim Seokjin

Best Friend: Park Jimin
Personality: Gentle. Trusting. Kind-hearted.

Weakness: Believes in people too easily.
Cause of Death: Betrayal.
He trusted the wrong person.

(Leo answered.)
V looked at the soft face in the hologram again.

“That’s stupid,”
(V muttered.)
Leo (System)
(Leo tilted slightly.)
“Kindness?”

“Trusting the wrong people.”
He wasn’t joking.
And Leo noticed. 😌
After a few seconds, V suddenly frowned.

“Wait. So you’re telling me you’re going to transfer me into a dead body?”
Leo (System)
(Leo corrected calmly,)
“Not dead. Soon-to-be dead. You may call him… a side character.”

(V blinked.)
“…WTH did you just say?”
“He is a side character.”
“No way.”

(V shook his head.)
“If you said I was a side character, I would believe it. But him? Look at that face. Main character material!”
Leo (System)
(Leo paused.)
“You are also a side character.”
Leo (System)
“That is why you are here,”
(Leo continued.)
Leo (System)
“And because of your… devastating life record.”

(V gasped dramatically.)
“Hey! I am your host. You can’t insult me.”
Leo: Statement was factual.

“Anyway,”
(V waved it off.)

"Don’t waste my precious time. Send me already. I’m not free like you. I have many important things to do.”
V opened his mouth.
Closed it.

“…That is not the point.”
For the first time—
Leo couldn’t suppress it.
A soft mechanical laugh glitched through the air.
Leo (System)
“You are right,”
(Leo said calmly.)
Leo (System)
“You are very busy.”

(V narrowed his eyes.)
“…Was that sarcasm?”
Transport sequence initiated.
Before V could argue again—
The world around him began to crack.
Everything vibrated like glass about to shatter.

“Leo—! At least warn me before throwing me like that!”
V shouted, his voice swallowed by the distortion.
A ceiling. Dim lights. Bass-heavy music shaking the air.
Before he could fully process where he was—
Someone was leaning over him.
A stranger’s hand reaching toward his face.
V’s heart slammed against his ribs.
His voice came out sharp, startled.
The man didn’t stop. Maybe he didn’t hear. Maybe he didn’t care.
He shoved the hand away and tried to sit up—but this body felt different.
