Catherine's POV:

Another day full of exhaustion came to end as I walk through a dark ally there is no one around except me still there is this paranoid feeling that is not escaping me.

I have had this feeling for over 10 years now, so I have got used to it but still I feel as if someone is preying at me. This uneasy feeling that someone is watching every second of my life without me knowing. My phone starts buzzing as a name flashes on my screen in This dark ally it was Annabella by best friend of course she had to call now of all times.I know she is gonna give me an earfull when I pick up.

I pick up the call as she starts to yell

"WHERE ARE YOU??!?!?!"

I pull the phone away from my ear to protect my ear drum from exploding.

"Calm down will you?!?! What happened all of a sudden?" I ask

"You promised you would come to our gathering at the club today don't tell me you had another shift at the café" she interrogated

"Yeah I did, besides there is no use of me coming anyway I am not exactly on friendly terms with them.... and you know how busy I am"

She gives a heavy sigh... and replied

" I know that but at least try to live your life girl all you ever do is work"

"Sorry you know full well I don't like being idle even if for a second, but to make it up to you tomorrow is a weekend wanna hangout at the club with me ?" I ask faking a cheerful tone

"Sure, see you tomorrow then" she says as she ends the call.

I give out a helpless sigh as I look up at my apartment building. Walking to the elevator and my apartment door. I turn the key and hear a click from the door as it creaks open the dark space cold and paranoid as usual I turn on the lights and walk in without a single thought drop my bag as well as keys to the floor entering my bedroom as I collapse on the bed.

An hour passes by still tossing and turning on the bed then finally I drift off in sleep. sudden feeling a cold touch on my legs which slowly started tracing up to my curves sending shivers down my spine as I start tossing again I feel as if someone held me up and tucked me in bed still half asleep

I could feel fingers lingering on my skin slowly and deliberately pulling down my bra strip jolting back to consciousness I look around in cold sweat finding my self tucked in bed though I remember just falling on the bed I look around only to find the window open as I get off the bed locking it thinking to myself

"Did I leave it open?"

though I could clearly remember I locked every door, every window before leaving for work.

Catherine's POV:-

As the sun shines in my eyes at morning the alarm starts buzzing a few minutes after I wake up I growl at the clock hitting the alarm till it goes off in deep thoughts I reluctantly get up from the bed as I look around the neatly organized apartment yet cold and empty with the paranoid feeling like my roommate I get up and drag my tired body to the shower taking off my clothes just as I turn it on the ice-cold water pulls me back to my senses as the water traced down my body I could feel the same thing as last night the feeling of being exposed to eyes of a predator who silently waiting for his chance to claim his prey I step out warping a towel around knowing full well someone is watching every second of my life without me knowing standing in front of the mirror drying my hair as I drift off in deep thoughts yet again feeling paranoid I hear my phone ringing outside wearing my undergarments and a thin shirt on top though its of no use as anyone can see clearly through it I walk out my phone screen buzzing with my managers name on it a deep sigh leaves because I know he is going to dump another one day worth work on my shoulders I pick it.

"Hey Catherine what are you doing today you have a weekend off right? Are you busy?" He asked though I know he knew I was having a meet with Anna today

"Yes Arnold I remember messaging you about it yesterday I have a meet with Anna today " I replied with no hesitation

"Oh really that was today? Anyway I want you to take over today as mia is having a fever so she can't come for her shift you can do this much right?" He asks completely ignoring what I had said

"No Arnold I can't as I said I am busy today" I replied

" oh come on already I'll pay you double the Salary how about that? You do have a huge depth you agree to this and you will be close to paying it off" he says with a helpless sigh as I look up he knew I was suffering from the depth my parents had so he uses it knowing I can't say no

"Alright " is all I say in return with my hands gripping to the phone tightly as rage fills in the dark apartment looming as if laughin at me and my pathetic behaviour

"That's a wise decision do a good job than" he says in a sneering tone. as he end the call rage turns to frustration I scroll though my contacts and click on Annabella's name she answers excitedly almost screaming in joy "oh your awake already!! I couldn't sleep all night knowing I will be spending a whole holiday with you!! I already booked our tickets for the theme park and water park a few movies its gonna be so fun!!" she sequels in joy making me sink deeper into sorrow I didn't want to let her down but I didn't have much of a choice.

"Sorry girl, mia has fever today so she isn't doing her shift and I took it instead we will go some other time" I reply in a low voice trying to mask my rage and sorrow

"WTF don't tell me that no excuse of a pig called you on your weekend to dump off his mistresses work on you?!" She yells in rage "that pig must have put his dick in her all night cat your not actually going to do it right?" She questioned with frustration

"No I took it of my own accord so don't worry"I heard her leave a sigh then she started "he mentioned your depth didn't he? Girl you don't have to do that its your weekend you already squeezed four jobs in your life this is the only day you get free I am sure neither you or your parents want you to sacrifice your self for their depth" she says consoling me I laugh lightly

" you think this is enough to get me to sacrifice my self? Don't worry too much its ok and the shift ends at 2:00 we will leave the bye" I hit the end button on the screen as a deep high sigh leaves my lips.

"So life this is how your gonna be huh? Well guess what? I am not giving up" mumbling to myself with a smirk. I get ready wearing a black crop top with a white baggy jeans.

As I walk out through the streets buzzing with people I feel my heart nearly stop the voices go blur turning here and there in panic but I spot Nothing suspicious. I could feel an overwhelming presence, the presence of the predator though I never came in contact with him or even saw him in the past but it came as instinct an instinct that was telling me to run as fast as I could without looking back suddenly shivers I look up at the café building where I saw him standing on the terrace looking at me. He is far away yet I can sense his creepy grin beneath the mask.
