BOUND BY FATE 2 : THE LI HEIRS

CHAPTER 1 introduction

Introduction Chapter – Faces of the Li Legacy

The Li villa was bustling in a way that only this family could manage.

Sunlight streamed through the tall windows, reflecting off the polished floors, but it did nothing to calm the chaos of the household.

Li Tingxiao, CEO of Li Cosmetic Industries, stood in the kitchen with a coffee in hand, quietly observing the morning mayhem. His sharp eyes softened only when they landed on his family.

“Chen Chen, don’t throw the bread at your brother!” he called, voice firm but calm.

Chen Chen, now 26, the top alpha of the Li household, froze mid-spin with a piece of toast in hand. His mischievous green eyes glinted. “I’m teaching him agility, Dada!”

Yuxin, sitting at the dining table sipping tea, smiled despite himself. “You’re teaching him chaos, Chen Chen. That’s what you’re teaching him.”

Li Xiao Xin, 21, grinning and fully awake after his university morning class, caught the toast mid-air and smirked. “You’ll need more than toast, big brother, to beat me.”

Chen Chen dramatically gasped. “Challenge accepted, little brother!”

The villa erupted in laughter and shouts, a perfect mess of breakfast chaos. Tingxiao shook his head and sighed, though the corner of his mouth twitched in amusement. These were his sons—his life, his pride.Later in the morning, Chen Chen leaves for the Li Cosmetic Industries office, where whispers follow him through the hallways: “That’s the devil MD. Like his father, but… sharper.”

He enters his office, straightening his tie, and his staff braces themselves. “Report first. Mistakes are expensive. Excuses are irrelevant.”

From the CEO’s corner, Tingxiao watches silently. His son is everything he knew he would be—sharp, cold, calculated—but a mirror of his own strengths and weaknesses, only with the potential to surpass him.Evening came, and the villa was quiet. Chen Chen returned, briefcase in hand, his tie slightly loosened.

Li Xiao Xin, 21, had just returned from university, backpack slung over one shoulder. “So… did you scare anyone today, Yi Chen?”

Chen Chen smirked, pouring himself a cup of water. “Survival is for the strong. That office is now efficient… and terrified.”

Xiao Xin laughed, clapping his brother on the shoulder. “Just like Dad taught you.”

Tingxiao and Yuxin exchanged glances. Their home was chaotic, funny, loving—and now also included a son who was every bit as sharp, ruthless, and protective as his father.

Chen Chen caught sight of the family photo on the wall: himself, his parents, his younger brother Xiao Xin, and the memory of the chaos that had brought them all together. He grinned. “I’m proud to be part of this… messed-up, amazing family.”

Xiao Xin nudged him. “Stop being sappy. Go eat dinner before Dad yells at you for being late.”

Yuxin chuckled, placing a hand on Chen Chen’s shoulder. “You may be a devil at work, Yi Chen… but at home, you’re still my sweet boy.”

Chen Chen rolled his eyes, but the smile on his face betrayed him.

The Family Lineup

Li Tingxiao, the top alpha and CEO. Calm, cold, and calculating to the world, but utterly soft and protective with his family. Known for his perfectionism and dominance in both business and home.

Song Yuxin, the omega co-owner of the art gallery, gentle and caring, wise and warm. Soft-spoken but unafraid to stand his ground when needed.

Li Yi Chen (Chen Chen), 26, the first son, MD at Li Cosmetic Industries, soon-to-be CEO. Cold, strategic, obsessive in business, but utterly devoted and playful at home. Protective of his younger brother, adopted Chen Chen by Tingxiao and Yuxin’s love.

Li Xiao Xin, 21, the younger son, alpha, university top student. Cheerful, funny, teasing, and clever. Loves to push his brothers’ buttons and secretly adores both his father and his big brother.

CHAPTER 2

The Heir to the Throne

The next morning, the Li mansion returned to its usual rhythm.

At exactly 8:00 a.m., the black luxury car stopped in front of Li Cosmetic Industries.

Li Tingxiao stepped out first — the aura of the CEO instantly commanding the entrance.

Li Yi Chen followed.

Same face.

Same blood.

Same dominance.

Employees bowed their heads instinctively.

“Good morning, CEO Li.”

“Good morning, MD Li.”

But the difference was clear.

Tingxiao walked with calm authority.

Yi Chen walked like a storm no one dared to stop.

The Conference Hall

The senior board members were already seated.

A massive screen lit up as Yi Chen stood at the head of the table, remote in hand.

His voice was low, steady, and cold.

“Let’s begin.”

Slide after slide — market expansion, international acquisition strategy, new product line projections, risk control models.

Not a single unnecessary word.

Not a single hesitation.

Every number — precise.

Every prediction — sharp.

Every solution — flawless.

The room, filled with veterans of the business world, slowly fell into stunned silence.

One director leaned toward another and whispered,

“Is he really only twenty-six…?”

Across the table, Tingxiao said nothing.

But his eyes — for the first time — held visible pride.

That was not just his son standing there.

That was the future CEO.

The End of the Presentation

Yi Chen clicked the remote.

The screen went dark.

“That concludes my report. Any questions?”

There were none.

Then —

applause.

Not polite.

Not formal.

Genuine.

A senior shareholder stood up.

“MD Li, this proposal is beyond our expectations. Your ability… is extraordinary.”

Another added,

“The company’s future is secure.”

And finally —

“You deserve the CEO position — not because you are CEO Li’s son… but because of your own capability.”

For a brief second, Yi Chen’s gaze shifted toward Tingxiao.

The older alpha gave a small, almost invisible nod.

Approval.

Recognition.

Inheritance.

The Hallway Whispers

As Yi Chen walked back to his office, employees straightened like soldiers.

“He’s terrifying…”

“Did you see his eyes? No emotion at all…”

“Devil MD…”

“But he’s a genius.”

“He never makes a wrong decision.”

“I heard he personally redid an entire department’s strategy in one night.”

“Copy of CEO Li — no… even sharper.”

Yi Chen heard everything.

He showed nothing.

Inside the MD’s Office

The door closed.

Silence.

A few seconds later —

knock knock.

“Come in.”

Yan Kai entered with a tablet in hand — professional, calm.

“MD Li, your 11 a.m. meeting has been moved to 11:30. The overseas partners confirmed the contract review for tomorrow. You have lunch with CEO Li at 1 p.m., and the financial audit files are already on your desk.”

Yi Chen nodded.

“Anything else?”

“That will be all, MD Li.”

Yan Kai turned and walked out.

The moment the door closed —

he walked back in without knocking and dropped into the chair in front of the desk.

Tie loosened.

Formal face gone.

Best friend mode activated.

“Bro,” he grinned, “do you know people in this company call you the DEVIL?”

Yi Chen didn’t even look up from the document.

“They are free to think.”

Yan Kai laughed.

“At least smile sometimes in the office. If these employees ever see how you fight with Xiao Xin over food or how you let Paa feed you fruit, they’ll die on the spot.”

No reaction.

Then —

very faintly —

Yi Chen smirked.

Yan Kai gasped dramatically and pointed.

“WAIT — WAS THAT A SMILE??

I need to call the media.”

Yi Chen finally looked up.

Cold eyes.

“Do you want your salary cut?”

Yan Kai leaned back comfortably.

“You see? THIS. This is why they fear you.”

A pause.

Then, softer:

“But seriously… that presentation today — you were insane. You’ve been working for this since college.”

Yi Chen’s expression didn’t change, but his voice lowered.

“We didn’t come this far to lose.”

Yan Kai’s eyes softened.

Back in university —

two students in the library until 3 a.m.

Competing with each other.

Growing together.

And now —

MD and his secretary.

Not because of friendship.

Because of talent.

Because they both earned their place.

A Small Personal Moment

Yan Kai stood up to leave, then stopped at the door.

“Uncle Tingxiao looked proud today.”

That made Yi Chen pause.

Just for a second.

“…I know.”

Ending Hook for the Chapter

As Yan Kai left, Yi Chen turned toward the floor-to-ceiling window.

The entire city below him.

The empire he would soon inherit.

His phone buzzed.

A message from Xiao Xin:

“Devil Gege, Paa made your favorite lunch. Come home early or I’ll eat your portion 😜”

For the first time that day —

his cold expression softened completely.

YAN KAI

CHAPTER 3

The Heir and the Home

CEO Office — After the Meeting

The door of the CEO’s office closed quietly behind them.

For a few seconds, neither Li Tingxiao nor Li Yi Chen spoke.

Two alphas.

Two generations.

Same blood. Same aura.

Tingxiao walked to the window, his back to the room.

“You did well today.”

Simple words.

But from him — they meant everything.

Yi Chen lowered his head slightly.

“Thank you, Dad.”

Tingxiao turned, his gaze sharp yet warm — the way it had only ever been for his family.

“When you were a child,” he said slowly, “you never chose the wrong things. Not wrong friends. Not wrong paths.”

A pause.

“And I want that to remain the same.”

Yi Chen listened silently.

“In the future,” Tingxiao continued, voice softer, “when you like someone… choose carefully. Choose someone who will love you the way your Paa loves me.”

For the first time in this room — Yi Chen’s cold expression cracked.

Images flashed in his mind:

Song Yuxin waiting at the door every night.

The way Tingxiao’s hand instinctively reached for Yuxin’s.

The quiet comfort between them.

“Dad,” Yi Chen said, his voice low but steady,

“I know. I’ve seen what real love looks like. You and Paa… you are my standard.”

Tingxiao didn’t interrupt.

“In the future,” Yi Chen continued,

“I want to be like you — in business… and in life.”

Something proud and deeply emotional passed through Tingxiao’s eyes.

A Father’s Teaching

“Since school,” Tingxiao said, “I told you — if you want good friends, you must learn to judge people.”

Yi Chen nodded.

“And if you ever love someone — judge with your heart, not your position.”

Yi Chen gave a faint smile.

“In school, people approached me because I was your son.”

“In college, because I was rich.”

“Many liked my face. Many liked my name.”

His voice remained calm.

“But I felt nothing.”

“Some were sincere,” he admitted, “so I remained friends.”

“And the jealous ones,” Tingxiao said.

“I defeated them in exams.”

A ghost of a smirk appeared on Tingxiao’s lips.

“And Yan Kai?” he asked.

“My best choice,” Yi Chen replied without hesitation.

“Not because he stayed. Because he earned his place.”

Silence again.

Not empty.

Full.

Father and son.

Successor and king.

“You have proven yourself,” Tingxiao said finally.

“Not as my son. As Li Yi Chen.”They walked out together.

CEO and future CEO.

The entire company watching.

Not just with respect.

With certainty.

The Li Mansion — Evening

The moment the main doors opened—

laughter exploded through the house.

Bright. Loud. Chaotic.

Home.

Yi Chen’s cold expression vanished instantly.

“Chen Chen!!!”

Before he could even react, Zhou Lusi stood up dramatically from the sofa.

“Aunty Lusi,” Yi Chen smiled — a REAL smile — and walked straight into her hug.

“I missed you.”

Su Zai Zai pulled him into another hug.

“You forgot us after becoming MD, didn’t you?”

“How can I,” he laughed softly,

“when you abandoned us and went to Japan for a whole month?”

On the sofa—

Li Xiao Xin and Zhou Lu Rang sat side by side with snacks and melting ice cream.

Yi Chen walked toward them.

First — Xiao Xin.

A quick flick on his forehead.

“You got this ".

“Both,” Xiao Xin grinned.

Then —

his hand moved to Lu Rang’s head and ruffled his hair gently.

“You grew a little.”

Lu Rang froze.

The spoon in his hand stopped mid-air.

“I… I’m not small anymore, Chen gege…”

His voice was soft.

Shy.

Exactly the same as when they were younger — just older and more beautiful.

Xiao Xin burst out laughing.

“Chen gege, Lu Rang became even shyer. And look! They brought us gifts from Japan!”

He pointed at the pile of beautifully wrapped boxes.

Yi Chen smiled — warm, indulgent.

Then he looked back at Lu Rang.

“Your ice cream is melting.”

Lu Rang panicked and started eating quickly.

Everyone laughed.

His ears turned red.Lusi: “Tingxiao! Control your son, he only hugs us and ignores me now!”

Yuxin from the dining area: “Dinner is ready! Wash your hands first!”

Xiao Xin: “Paa, Chen gege bullied Lu Rang again!”

Lu Rang: “I–I’m fine…”

Yi Chen (softly): “Still this shy…”

And for a moment—

the Devil MD

the future CEO

the heir of Li empire

was just
