I'm standing straight in front of a man.
I look at him into his black pupils, he has a dumb smile that always irked me. His hair kept neatly, frame his handsome face that manage to swoon a lot of girls at schools.
Liam.
My childhood friend and the one that's always annoyed me when im around. We always went to the same school somehow, we lived in the different neighborhood yet both of us usually bump into each other pretty often.
The star of other students and even adults, he was good at sports. Even his study he always score a perfect score, but somehow bad at geography.
Yet this time, his smile doesn't irk me At all.
"Evan. Are you ok? You seem out of it." Liana tug my sleeve of my shirt. I look at the similar eyes and face that resembles Liam a lot.
"Don't worry I'm fine."
That's what i said, yet i don't dare to look below. Because i know what below me is.
A casket.
And the one lying inside it's none other than Liam himself.
I keep staring in front the photo of Liam, surrounding with white lily and white chrysanthemums.
I should have felt sad that he's gone, yet i just avoid seeing those casket.
I put a white rose on the altar, put my hand together to pray.
"I hope you have someone else to annoy up there." I prayed not saying it loudly.
I gave my condolences to Liam family, i parted goodbye to them immediately. I couldn't stay too long, my parents only let me go to the funeral. I can't stay long for the banquet.
I walk through the room that huge just for one person, no surprise since Liam family is rich. As i pass through i saw a lot of girls wept.
Even his ex attend his funeral.
Not that surprising since he could had any girls that he want very easily like a fisherman.
I go inside the car where my mother waiting for me. I wore my seatbelts, not saying any word to my mom.
"That's quite long time you took. Have you finished mourning Evan? Especially you two very close." She asks while starting the car.
I took my breath leaning into the leather seats, i close my eyes a bit. "I think I'm done." i said calmly, yet a bit unsure.
Am i really fine after losing my childhood friend since i was 5?
"You are weirdly calm." My mom spoke, her eyes looking at me from the rearview mirror.
I'm glancing up and nod, "Somehow, I was fine." i said while looking out the window. Looking at the city light, that pass through. There no rain or cold weather, in fact the weather today too perfect.
Not too cold yet not too warm either, a warm night with a gush of wind.
Time seem pass faster enough, i saw the road to my house. I go inside and get ready to sleep, after i changed into my pajama. I get onto my bed, as I lay down.
I could felt my eyelids starts growing heavy.
"Evan..."
Huh?
My eyes open wide, i look around the room. That voice a very familiar one, i definitely heard it beside me.
But as my eyes glancing around i have seen nothing, i choose to go back to sleep.
Yet then when i turn into my door, i blink once.
Twice.
I almost think I'm starting to lose my mind.
I seeing him standing there at the door.
my eyes widen, not in fear nor terror.
Right there is Liam, who is smiling at me while waving his hand happily like nothing happened.
