The Noble and the Spirits

Prologue Spirit's POV

Spirit's POV

Spirit 1: The CEO (The Ruthless Strategist)

Perspective: Calculated, cold, yet driven by a singular loyalty.

Cause of death:His lover (two-faced scheming person)

The numbers always balanced, until they didn't. I had calculated the risks of the merger, the market shifts, and the competitor’s moves, but I failed to account for the volatile variable standing in my living room. My sister was in trouble; the logic was simple—I had to go.

"If you walk out that door, don't bother coming back!" the voice screamed behind me.

I didn't turn. Ultimatums were for people who lacked leverage. I gripped the cold brass handle and stepped out into the hallway.

"You really dared!"

A sudden rush of footsteps. I began to turn, my mind already formulating a rebuttal, but the "market" crashed too fast. A sharp, icy heat bloomed between my ribs. I looked down at the silver blade, then up at the eyes I once trusted. My last thought wasn't of betrayal, but of the unfinished contract on my desk.

Spirit 2: The Prodigy (The Ancient Soul)

Cause of Death: Obsession / The "Siren’s Call" of a cursed artifact.

The cave smelled of damp earth and a melody that hadn't been heard in three millennia. My lantern flickered, illuminating the Aeolian Lyre—its strings weren't gut or wire, but shimmering, solidified light.

"Just one chord," I whispered, my fingers trembling. To a master, the silence of a forgotten era is a physical weight.

As my pick touched the first string, the sound didn't travel outward; it traveled inward. It was a frequency that didn't belong in a human chest. The vibration shattered the stone ceiling above, but I didn't move to run. The harmony was too perfect. As the cavern collapsed, I closed my eyes, finally hitting the perfect note as the world went dark.

Spirit 3: The Martial Artist (The Unbroken Blade)

Cause of Death: Sacrificial Last Stand against an army.

My lungs were burning, each breath tasting of copper and dust. Around me lay a hundred broken spears, and before me stood a thousand more. My disciples had reached the mountain pass; they were safe. That was the only victory that mattered.

"Yield, Old Lion!" the General shouted from the safety of his horse.

I spat blood and settled into the Heaven-Splitting Stance one last time. My bones groaned, and my muscles were frayed like old rope. I didn't need a sword; my hands were the only weapons I had ever truly owned.

As the wave of steel surged toward me, I felt the flow of the world—the wind, the kinetic energy of their fear, the rhythm of the strike. I took down ten more before a dozen blades found their mark simultaneously. I died on my feet, a mountain that refused to crumble.

Spirit 4: The Sage (The Forbidden Scholar)

Cause of Death: Erased by the "Truth" / Overload of forbidden knowledge.

The Great Archive of the Void was never meant for mortal eyes. I had spent seven lifetimes deciphering the Elder Script, peeling back the skin of reality to see the clockwork beneath. I found the scroll—the one that explained why the stars scream

"I shouldn't read this," I muttered, my hand hovering over the ink that seemed to writhe like insects.

But a Sage cannot choose ignorance. To know is to exist. As I unrolled the parchment, the information didn't enter my mind—it consumed it. My physical form began to fray into literal letters and symbols. My skin turned to paper, my blood to ink. I didn't die so much as I was "written out" of the world, becoming a footnote in a history no one is allowed to remember.

The First Meeting of renowned spirits

The Martial Artist is the first to speak, his voice like grinding stones. "Lower your killing intent, suit-wearer. You reek of betrayal and fresh blood."

The CEO adjusts a ghostly cufflink that isn't there. "It wasn't 'killing intent,' it was a bad investment. And unless you’re the landlord of this empty lot, I suggest you stop barking. Who’s the lead on this operation?"

The Prodigy lets out a soft, airy laugh. "There’s no lead. Can’t you hear it? This place is a rest between movements. A fermata. We’re the notes hanging in the air after the string snaps."

The Sage sighs, looking at them with pity. "Actually, we are currently occupying the Aetheric Sub-layer. It’s a transitional space for those whose souls were too... 'dense' with earthly obsession to pass through the main gate. You," he points at the CEO, "died for greed. You," he gestures to the Artist, "for a song. And you," he nods to the Warrior, "for a mountain."

The Martial Artist narrows his eyes. "And you, old man? You look like you died reading a book."

The Sage smirked. "I died becoming the book. There is a difference."

The CEO immediately tries to organize them. "Alright, if we're stuck here, we need a hierarchy. I’ve managed global conglomerates; I’ll handle the logistics of our 'afterlife' transition."

"Logistics?" The Martial Artist scoffed. "If a demon shows up to eat your soul, will your 'logistics' strike its pressure points? I provide the security. I lead."

The Prodigy just sits on the floor, eyes closed. "You're both so loud. You’re ruining the acoustics of eternity."

Then suddenly a golden orb formed out of thin air, looking harmless until it sucked the spirits inside.

The Prodigy screamed as he got sucked in first. "Ah! You martial artist you said you'd protect us." The others were sucked in together after him.

The Martial artist crossed his arms. "Yeah but how can I, when I was also caught off guard." He said as he sat down on the ground.

"Hm it's also my first time seeing this… It seems I have more to learn."The sage said with profound interest and excitement, practically dancing.

Inside the Golden orb was a vast amount of land filled with endless fields full of crops and animals, Mountains with enchanting spring waterfalls, perfect in every way.

"Perhaps we can stay here, this is like a... vacation."The CEO said finally relaxing his guard, finding a Flat Rock to sit on.

The Prodigy agreed." Hm, for a second thought it's not that bad..." He said as he looked around.

"But how can we trust this place when it sucked us first." The Martial artist said.

"Hm, you're right but you said you'd protect us so..." The prodigy said smiling, sitting beside The CEO. "So I guess you'd scout the terrains to make sure and also find some foods while you're at it."

A Few days have passed, the spirits were discussing things as they were adjusting to life inside the Golden mysterious orb.

The Birth of the Noble

As The spirits were discussing, inside the Golden mysterious orb.

Over the past few days...

While the siblings and other relatives were discussing poisoning the Empress and the crown prince, the Empress happened to pass by to surprise them, because she treats them as her children because the Hawsterling siblings grew up without a mother, so she thought she was a good excellent stand in mother but the Hawsterlings used it for granted. Using the Empress for money and everything they could ask for was granted by the Empress

The Empress was shocked to hear that they were trying to poison her and her child whilst the emperor saw the Empress and went over and overheard everything and so on, this is what happened, the Hawsterlings was summoned in the palace and was ordered to be imprisoned and executed, but Ethana pleaded for her life so the emperor considering that she wasn't part of treason or with punishable crimes he let him go.

Fast forward to the present

3 years later, Nathaniel's talents were impeccable in many ways, even his behavior and looks, The Family genes are too top tier.

Even his mother was shocked like he wasn't even taught by anyone? How could it be...

The answer was, that Nathaniel has the Golden orb inside him, he can communicate with the spirits with his mind or directly speaking to him, with the help of The Sage, The Prodigy, The CEO, and The Martial artist he learned things because the spirits wouldn't stop pestering him because he can also see them.
