the bell rang for lunch, and the classroom burst into noise

*packing his bag slowly glancing sideways at the new student*

*looking out of the window*

*sighs* Do you wanna join me for lunch?

*turns to look at Jiwon but doesn't reply*

(nvm) well you see my friend isn't here today so i'll be eating alone too ... so i was wondering if you....😅

*gets up and leaves*

*looks at his bag* guess I am eating alone 😮💨

*enter the roof top*

*looks around to make sure no one is there*
Yejin walked toward the parapet wall, rested his hands on the concrete and took a slow breath
For a while he just stood there staring at nothing or maybe at everything
eventually, Yejin slid down the wall and pulled his lunch from his bag

suddenly the door of the roof top opens with a loud bang

hey! what are you doing here?

*just gives him a blank stare*

don't you know this roof belongs to Oh Jaemin? Get lost.

*sighs quietly as he stands up to leave*
Yejin started to leave. No argument. No reaction

*ignores him and keeps walking*
Oh Jaemin covered the distance between them in long strides to stand in front of Yejin blocking the way

Yejin has grabbed Jaemin by collar a fist in the air ready to attack when

You know you could've have just asked Woobin for one more punch yesterday

*drops his fist and let's go of Jaemin*

you think using Woobin's name would scare me? huh?
Oh Jaemin

when Jaemin finally left Jiwon turned to Yejin who was standing his fist still clenched

lunch is almost over.. or u wanna miss class on your first day?👀👀

except for the occasional glances Jiwon threw in Yejin's direction
which Yejin either didn't notice or chose to ignore... who knows 🤷♀️ 🤷♂️
when the final bell rang the classroom emptied in seconds
once again Yejin made no move to leave

*finishes packing his bag then stands up to leave after giving Yejin one last glace*
Yejin's voice was soft it almost didn't match the boy Jiwon saw on the roof top

*stops in his tracks and turns around slowly*

Uh-huh? Ah I mean- it's fine you don't have to thank me next time-

Next time *cuts Jiwon mid sentence* you can leave me be
anyone else would consider Yejin's words rude but Jiwon wasn't just anyone
one look at Yejin's demeanor his eyes fixed on some spot in the floor his shoulders stiff and voice... soft unbelievably soft

*his eyes soften for a moment before a wide grin spread across his face*

*he took a step towards Yejin bent down down to meet Yejin's eyes who was still sitting* No can do😌😌

*looks up at Jiwon confused* you-

with that Jiwon left and Yejin just sat there for a while .. inside his new classroom... till the sun was almost down the horizon
