Baxford was a big city in Johanson State. It had many striving companies and was the birthplace of many geniuses and millionaires. It also had many good schools and colleges. Ones that people from all walks of life come together to learn.

Leon Virelli ran in torn clothes and a bruised eye and lip as he struggled to run since his leg was broken.

He tried to escape the bullies in this run down alley where normally shady things happened.

Panting, Leon muttered to himself.

"I hope they don't find me. Those fuckers hurt me so bad I can't even breathe well."

Running into an abandoned warehouse covered in dust and spider webs, Leon limped forward trying to find a place to rest for the meantime.

Finding a corner with crate boxes, Leon drags his broken down body to sit on it as he looks around for something to hold his leg in place.

"Got to get myself to a hospital and quick before these fuckers find..."

Right after whispering to himself, the bullies entered.

"Look boys, our toy was hiding here all along. This motherfucker thinks he'd be able to get rid of us. He don't know the streets raised us."

The leader of the bullies, One Eye spoke.

Leon heart was gripped by fear the moment he saw the bullies. If eyes could kill, there wouldn't even be a need for the moment he was in but unfortunately, at that moment it was left with him and his torn school bag.

"Look, I don't know why you've been picking at me since the day one but today you guys have taken it a little too far don't you think? We're only just high schoolers so why the need for this much violence?"

Leon tried to reason with them but as we all know, bullies are bullies. Nothing their prey says would change their mind.

"Boys, bring him out. Don't want people saying that we killed him."

Two of the bullies walked from the sides of One Eye and grabbed Leon mercilessly without showing care for his broken leg.

"Ouch! My leg is broken, can't you guys take it easy?!"

Ignoring Leon, they dragged him out of the warehouse as Leon screamed his lungs out and cried from pain.

After ten minutes of dragging Leon, they stopped in one of the streets in that neighborhood. That street was one of the few places where people were scarce and trucks were frequent.

Dropping Leon in the middle of the road, another student wearing the same uniform as the bullies and Leon was Michael. He was the school's rich guy and top student.

"I see my money hasn't gone to waste. Nice job, I'll give you that compliment."

Leon was shocked to see Michael there and from his statements just now, he knew he was the one behind all this.

"Michael...what...what are you doing here? How are you in this mess? No, infact what did I do to you for you to go to such extreme lengths?"

Michael started laughing wildly upon hearing what Leon said.

"Hahaha. Virelli, you must be a fool, so you actually think that with your meek attitude and brilliance that you'll be able to surpass me? You are such a an idiot. If you want to know what you've done then wait. What would be even better would be not to tell you and let you suffer.

See, out here, no one can save you from me. Oh and I forgot to mention. No one is going to hold me accountable for a broke kid like you.

You're just a filthy brokeass kid with no one to protect and back up. When I'm done with you, you'll see what I am truly capable of."

Leon couldn't quite understand as Michael was his best friend who now spoke ruthlessly to him.

A single tear slid down his cheek as he struggled to get up and pick a blade on the ground.

"See you in another life." Leon said as he was about to slit his throat when a lorry truck, out of nowhere came speeding at the boys.

Michael and the bullies ran away leaving an already broken and confused Leon to the mercy of the truck.

Before he realized it. He was blinded by the light of the truck and was taken away from life.

The driver hurriedly stopped the truck and got out to check if Leon was breathing but all that was left was a mashed leg, cracked skull with blood seeping out and eyes wide.

The driver jumped back in shock as he immediately took his phone to call 911.

In twenty minutes, after the driver pacing anxiously, the sound of sirens could be heard as the police and ambulance were nearing the accident scene.

The paramedics rushed to check and were shocked by the bloody scene before them and the police took the driver for questioning.

Leon was carried into the ambulance with little to no hope for him.

The clouds became dark in the evening around six pm as it started to rain heavily when in the ambulance, Leon Virelli was pronounced dead.

It was dark in Baxford but in one of the city's public hospital, Leon was laid on a bed ready to be covered and to be sent for an autopsy.

"Why is it so dark in here? Wait, where am I? Didn't I die? Oh wait, is this hell? No way, I've been good. Wait, so where is this place?"

"Ding!"

[System syncing progress (48%)

Just as the system sounded, a huge blue screen appeared before Leon.

"Whoa, what is that? Am I not dead? Wait, is this the system like the ones in the novel I read?"

[Host should check if details on the screen are accurate]

[Name of host: Leon Virelli]

[Age: 17 years]

[Gender: Male]

[Height: 5'4]

[Health: 0.01%]

[Intelligence: Not bad]

[Physique: 30 points]

[Attraction: 15 points]

[Class: Weak]

[If host agrees with the information please choose ' Agree ']

Leon was still shocked when the system spoke again.

[System syncing progress (81%)]

"What the fuck does the system by single, huh? And what the hell is attraction 15 points? And it states there that I am weak. Like seriously?"

"Ding!"

[ System syncing progress (100%)

[ The host agrees with the system's evaluation]

[Congratulations, welcome to The Ultimate Perfect Life System]

"No way, this really is a system. But, it I'm dead, does that mean this all comes to waste?"

Leon sighed at the thought of his death and sat down when the system spoke.

[System is to revive the host if the health doesn't reach 0.0%]

[Host can also alter changes to his body for better experience with the Ultimate Perfect Life System.

Does the host want to upgrade the body?]

Leon thought for a minute before asking, "Are there consequences to this upgrade?"

[No. Host can upgrade the body without any consequences but host must use points to experience the Ultimate Perfect Life System.]

[The alterations of the body will consume exp points but because it's the first time the host has synced with the system, the system has a lot of rewards. Would the host like to view the system rewards?]

"Yeah, of course. Let's get this party started."

Leon said with euethasiasm when the bright blue screen showed

Leon looked at the screen with interest before asking

Note: Changes made are permanent and would add as a feature of the host.]

Leon said as an evil smile crept on his face.

At the hospital

...

The unconscious or one would say 'dead' Leon was being wheeled in on the stretcher. He was definitely a gruesome sight to see as they checked for a single lift in his pulse.

"He is not responding. It's quite obvious. I wouldn't waste much time on him and besides we have other patients whose saving chances are high. This boy would need a miracle to survive and even if he survives it would be in a coma then pass away."

"Come on now, don't say that. I mean you are right though but saying it like that would make you seem heartless. After all we are doctors. We are supposed to care for our patients and besides, there is no harm in trying to dress his wounds to make him look better for burial. The government would pay for him so it shouldn't be much of an issue. Let's just leave him with the nurses and let them dress his wounds.

Oh and I almost forgot. Tell them to contact the mortuary."

The male doctor said to the other female doctor as they pushed the stretcher to one of the nurses to tend to his wounds whilst they left.

The nurse also pushed the stretcher to one of the wards and left to get the tools.

On the stretcher, the 'dead' Leon slightly moved his hand but his pulse was still flat.

"The kid's corpse is bad as it already is. Why should it concern me. Everyday it's nurse do this or nurse do that. When would I have peace of mind"

The nurse muttered to herself as she walked back into the ward with the tray containing the medical tools.

Sitting down beside the unrecognizable Leon, she sighed as she started tending to his wounds.

"Why would a kid be in such a miserable state? He looks unrecognizable. How would the parents feel about this? What a pity!"

The nurse clean his wounds and joined parts of Leons badly broken skull and sew his torn apart skin together.

After she was done, Leon was fifty percent recognizable. She left after she felt she had done a satisfied job and went to call the police before calling the autopsy department to send the body to the mortuary.

In about what seemed like twenty minutes, Leon was wheeled out of the ward and was put in a van that was used by the hospital to send dead bodies away.

On the way

...

"See Mate, I tell ya that these kids don't want to live a peaceful life. When I tell my kid stay away from trouble and just go to school, they think I'm just being the 'crazy old man'. Today, I hope they shake when I tell them this story."

"Come on pal. So you even know this young lad. How do you even know how he died. Were you there when the accident happened?"

"Do I need to be there to know what happened. Ain't it obvious? I wonder how the kid's parents would feel.

You know it ain't easy to watch a kid grow to that age and you lose the kid just like that. It must be..."

"Boom!"

"Did you hear that mate?"

"What do you think that must be?"

"I don't know. Why are you asking me? You don't possibly want me to check do ya?"

"Well I mean it 11 pm in the middle of the fucking night and all we have with us is a dead body. You don't want me to feel..."

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

The two men in the front seats looked at each other before the one in the passenger seat spoke.

"I don't know who you are or what ya want but let me tell ya, we don't got no cash. We're just ordinary drivers so..."

"Bang!"

"Hello, is anybody there?"

The two middle aged men looked at each other and the driver stopped the car in the middle of the road.

"Patrick, do you think it's the corpse talking?"

"Patrick the one in the passenger seat who was listening to his friend yap at the beginning swallowed hard.

"I'll be the man and go and check."

He got out and picked a tree branch at the side of the road for defense and got to the back of the van.

He opened it and looked round and couldn't see anyone and was about to step in when

"Hello? I'm stuck. Anyone there? It's bloody hot in here."

Patrick felt his heart fall into his stomach as he couldn't understand.

"Gary, I think the kid's not dead."

Patrick shouted to his companion who got out of the car immediately after hearing that.

"For fuck's sake Patrick how can the corpse be alive? Has the job made you go nuts already? I told you not to take the weed didn't I?"

"No mate. I didn't take the weed but seriously I think there's someone alive in there. Do you perhaps think the hospital didn't do the diagnosis well?"

"Oh I see. We both are complete idiots and now you are questioning the capabilities of the doctors? Let me tell ya something. Those doctors paid attention at school not like us dumb folks who didn't hear a word the teacher said. I can..."

"Hello! Can you guys help me out and stop arguing?!"

Gary was shocked after hearing and jumped in fright before asking.

"Did you bloody hear that?"

"See, I told ya. Started calling me crazy. See now, we're both crazy."

Patrick entered the back and opened the box containing the now talking corpse.

Leon immediately rose up from the corpse naked and looking round frantically before asking.

"Where the fuck am I? Am I still in Baxford? Why am I naked? Won't you two answer me?"

The two men were stupefied and had their mouths open the whole time.

"Patrick, I've got to call the hospital."

"No, don't."

"Huh?"

Gary turned to look at Leon and halted his steps.

"Please don't. People are after me. If you report me, they'll find me and kill me."

Leon faked his tears and begged them before the two men consoled him.

"So lad, where are you off to? You'll need some clothes you know that?"

"Yeah. I do need clothes but it's okay. I'll just head off now."

Leon said as he tried to get of the van still naked.

"At least take this."

Patrick said as he rushed to the front seats and took out clothes for him.

"Here mate. You don't wanna get cold."

Leon was grateful that he had gotten some clothes to hide his nakedness and smiled to show appreciation. He then ran into the darkness ready to wear his clothes and start a new life as the new Leon.
