Arwin stabbed me in the heart.
I remember the moment clearly. The knife slid in while the noise of the street fight slowly faded around me. My vision dimmed as the last thing I saw was the face of the person I trusted the most.
Ruan
That used to be my name.
There was nothing remarkable about my life. I was just an orphan who grew up on the streets and eventually got involved with gangs. Violence became normal, and survival depended on how quickly you could adapt.
I never really had anyone I could call family.
Except Arwin.
He was my childhood friend and the only person who stayed beside me as we grew up. In the end, he was also the one who betrayed me.
By the time I opened my eyes again, everything had changed
The face reflected in the mirror was unfamiliar. Everything was Unfamiliar
After several days of confusion and observation, I understood what had happened.
I had been reborn.
My new name was Reis Maddox, and I was living the life of a seven-year-old boy.
In this life, there was only one person who could be called family.
My mother, Reagan Maddox.
She worked long hours as a personal assistant in a small startup company. Most days she came home exhausted, yet she still tried to smile whenever she saw me.
There was always a quiet sadness in her eyes, as if she had already lost something important long ago.
Perhaps that was why, without realizing it, I slowly began to see her as my real mother.
Unfortunately for us, her job barely covered our living expenses we were scraping off the corners
So I did the only thing I knew how to do.
I started training again.
By the time I turned fifteen, I entered my first underground boxing match under the name “Mavis.”
After nine years away from that world, the feeling was still the same. The noise of the crowd, the pressure of the fight, and the sharp rush of adrenaline were all strangely familiar.
I earned money and told Reagan that I had started working part-time after school. She believed me, and the extra income made life a little easier.
Things slowly began to improve.
The startup company Reagan worked for started gaining recognition and expanding quickly. As her workload became more stable, she even began coming home earlier than before.
For the first time, life felt peaceful.
Then my sixteenth birthday arrived.
It changed everything

Reis Maddox was sitting at his desk when the voice appeared.
It did not come from outside the room. It did not echo through the hallway or from his phone.
His pen hovered above the notebook as he stared at the biology diagram he had been memorizing.

Host confirmation complete.

Identity verified: Reis Maddox.
Reis rubbed his eyes once, twice and finally blinked in shock at the weird thing infront of him.
Unfortunately for him, His Nightmare was about to begin
