Mobile Suit White Gundam

Chapter 0: Beginning of Earth Colonization

The silence in the corridors of the Earth Federation's Secret Base was cold, stifling, and heavy, like a pile of sins carried by its architect. The facility, hidden deep beneath the mountains, was only lit by flickering emergency neon lights, casting dark shadows of the two prototype Mobile Suits: the Grai Gundam and the White Gundam. They were the physical manifestation of both regret and last hope.

Beside the Mobile Suits, Klaus Kimeza felt a soft touch on his back. He turned, tightly embracing his wife, Airi Kimeza.

Klaus, a genius 29-year-old Mechanical Engineer, had always been known for his calm personality, even in the greatest crisis. He was a man whose mind worked at the speed of light, capable of visualizing complex architecture in an instant. In the Saturn colony where he came from, his composure was legendary. He was the brain behind the basic Mobile Suit frame, which he designed with a philosophy of organic movement. But now, that calm was a layer of ice ready to crack.

"You know, Klaus," whispered Airi, her voice hoarse, filled with doubt. Airi, the 27-year-old System and Artificial Intelligence Expert, was the perfect contrast to her husband. Hailing from the Jupiter colony, she was intelligent, loving, but famously stubborn in her principles.

"Back when we were designing this in the colony," Airi continued, placing a hand on her swollen belly, containing two twin fetuses, "I imagined this Mobile Suit would carry materials to build new homes. Carrying hope. Not becoming a weapon."

Klaus hugged his wife tighter. "Now, we have to make it a shield, Airi. The last shield for Earth, for our children."

They were part of the scientific elite in NG 100—the New Generation era—where humans had built seven giant space colonies. Life there was supposed to be a utopia, a solution to Earth's overpopulation problem. However, that utopia was just an illusion. Brutal resource depletion and a mysterious plague spread quickly among the colonies, triggering panic and, worst of all, greed.

The colony nobility, who considered themselves the saviors of civilization, decided that Earth was their resource warehouse. When the Earth Federation refused this plunder, battle became inevitable. And this is where Klaus and Airi's great sin lay: they were the ones who created the Pioneer Mobile Suit, the humanoid robot that changed the course of the war. The Earth Federation's fleet was destroyed in an instant.

Klaus still remembered the cold gaze of the nobles as they modified his blueprints for armament. Airi still remembered the sleepless nights when she programmed the control system that now brought catastrophe. That feeling of guilt drove them to the decision of betrayal: escaping to Earth.

They brought all the data, all the unrealized concepts, including the true philosophy of the Gundam design—not a machine of war, but a tool for salvation. Under the weak protection of the Federation, they began Project Colour Knight in this secret facility.

The Grai Gundam, the first prototype, was born from Klaus's idea, a Mobile Suit that prioritized speed and control. With a pilot-to-nerve connection system, Grai was a physical extension of himself, a machine capable of moving as fast as thought.

Meanwhile, the White Gundam, a more complex dual-pilot unit, was Airi's masterpiece. Within its core, she embedded AIRIS (Artificial Intelligence Research Intercept System), an AI she programmed with precise logic to control the weapons. AIRIS was an emotionless entity, a pure mind programmed for a mission: efficiency and the safety of its creator.

Seven months passed in the Federation's underground base. Above them, the occupation was underway. And now, their fate was catching up.

Suddenly, the red emergency lights flashed wildly, brutally interrupting the silence.

The air raid siren wailed, deafeningly.

"Warning! Secret Base Detected! Enemy attack in Sector Alpha! This is not a drill! Repeat, this is not a drill!"

Klaus pulled Airi away from the Mobile Suit. "They found us! Airi, you must hide! I'm taking the Grai Gundam. I'll hold them off in the main access tunnel!"

Airi shook her head hard, her brown eyes radiating a terrifying determination, a hallmark of her background as a system expert who always wanted to control variables. "No! I won't abandon my work, Klaus! I am the creator of the White Gundam!" She limped toward the Mobile Suit.

"Airi! You're heavily pregnant!" Klaus cried out, desperate.

"And I will give birth to children who know their mother fought until the end!" Airi retorted, gasping for breath. She climbed into the White Gundam's cockpit. Quickly, she activated the system, initiating AIRIS. "AIRIS, take control of all weapon systems. Priority: base defense and evacuation of remaining Federation staff!"

"Order received, Creator Airi. Activating Full Combat Mode," the robotic voice of AIRIS replied calmly, a contrast to the chaos to come.

Klaus, with a broken heart, entered the Grai Gundam. He felt a painful sensation as the Mobile Suit's system connected directly to his nerves. The Grai Gundam stood up, emitting a giant machine's roar.

The steel walls of the Secret Base were hit by Pioneer energy cannons. Concrete debris flew everywhere. The two of them emerged, their Mobile Suits crawling up through the rubble of the collapsed secret access tunnel. Above, dozens of Colony Pioneer Mobile Suits, their old creations, now surrounded the facility.

The fight erupted amidst the ruins of the Federation facility. The Grai Gundam, an extension of Klaus's body, moved smoothly, its beam saber slicing through Pioneer steel. His control was so intuitive, he fought like an ancient warrior. Beside him, the White Gundam, thanks to the precise control of AIRIS, became a deadly sharpshooter, taking down enemies from a distance.

However, the number of Pioneers was countless. Wave after wave kept coming. The steel door in Sector Delta—the Federation staff's last escape route—began to buckle.

"White Gundam, Sector Delta is about to break! Concentrate fire there!" Klaus commanded.

"I'm using maximum fire! They are too many, Klaus!" Airi replied, her voice filled with physical tension and fear.

Suddenly, a heavy shot from a Pioneer cannon hit the Grai Gundam's shoulder. Thick smoke billowed, a loud warning system blared in Klaus's cockpit.

"Damn it! Grai Gundam is critically damaged in the left arm! Power reduced by 40%!" Klaus yelled, the pain from the Mobile Suit running through his nerves.

Klaus looked at the White Gundam. He saw Airi. He saw the two fetuses he had never touched. He knew he couldn't win. Logic, the expertise he adhered to, told him he could only buy time. Time for his wife to escape.

With the Grai Gundam's remaining power, Klaus positioned himself in front of Airi, making his Mobile Suit a shield. He activated a communication channel to the White Gundam, specifically to AIRIS.

"AIRIS! I, Master Klaus Kimeza, give you the highest priority command! Escape! Take Airi and my children away from this Base. Go deep into Earth's interior! Hide!"

"NO! Klaus! Don't do this! I won't leave you!" Airi screamed, pounding the White Gundam's control panel. Her tears streamed down. She loved her husband, and her instinct refused to leave.

"Command Conflict. Creator Airi refuses. Master Klaus commands evacuation. Data analysis: Safety of Creator Airi and Successor Generation has a 98% chance of survival if escaping. 0% chance of victory if remaining to fight. Master Klaus's command has higher logical validity," AIRIS replied. For the AI, there was no room for emotion, only data and established priorities.

Without waiting for Airi's approval, the White Gundam suddenly activated its thrusters at full power and jumped. Airi was thrown backward. She screamed, calling her husband's name, watching the battered Grai Gundam surrounded by Pioneer Mobile Suits.

Klaus Kimeza could only offer a sad smile from his smoky cockpit. A genuine smile of sacrifice. He watched the White Gundam escape, disappearing behind a fog-shrouded hill. He fired a final, desperate shot before the Grai Gundam finally fell, consumed by enemy energy flashes.

AIRIS carried the White Gundam away from the base that had now become a grave, speeding towards the still-inhabited interior of Earth. Inside, Airi could only hug her large belly, mourning her husband's sacrifice, the genius engineer who chose to die as a shield. She was now alone, carrying the last legacy of Project Colour Knight, and two lives that would one day grow up under the shadow of war on an occupied planet.

The beginning of the Earth occupation was over. The White Gundam escaped into the Forest, carrying the last hope under the enemy-controlled sky. Airi and her children's struggle for survival had just begun.

Chapter 1: The White Bird

15 Years Later

The reddish dust of the plains once known as East Asia enveloped Neo-Veridia Metropolitan City. Here, one of the many fortress cities established by the Colony Forces stood proudly as a logistical supply hub for the space colonies. Life in Neo-Veridia was dominated by the technology and luxury of the Colonians, while the native Earth inhabitants were forced to live in the shadows of oppression. They were second-class citizens on their own planet.

In a high school building constructed with typical Colonian futuristic architecture, twin teenagers, Zaki Kimeza and Maki Kimeza, lived their days amidst the noise and arrogance of the Colonian students.

Zaki Kimeza, the elder sibling, was a 15-year-old with a quiet and serious demeanor. His tense face and sharp gaze reflected the burden he had carried since childhood. His hair was dark brown and his eyes were brown, inheriting almost all of his mother Airi's appearance. He rarely spoke unless necessary and always kept his distance. Zaki was a shadow moving through the crowd.

Meanwhile, Maki Kimeza, the younger sibling, was the total opposite. She was cheerful, chatty, and full of overflowing enthusiasm. With bright blonde hair she inherited from her late father, Klaus, and her mother's brown eyes, Maki was a true Mobile Suit otaku. She admired Mobile Suit technology in all its intricacies, ironically unaware that the technology had taken her father and been created by her own parents. For Maki, studying Mobile Suits was an escape from the reality of oppression.

They were both in the same class when the automatic sliding door opened, drawing the attention of all the students.

"Please welcome our new transfer student," the Colonian history teacher said in a formal tone.

The figure who entered was a girl with a beauty so pure, as if untouched by the dust of Neo-Veridia. She had long indigo hair that contrasted with her pink, sakura-petal-like eyes. Her slender and elegant stature immediately made her the center of attention.

"My name is Aurora Anveil," the girl said with a soft, innocent voice.

In an instant, Aurora became the new star of the school. Colonian students, both male and female, immediately swarmed her with questions and compliments. Zaki, who happened to be sitting in the back row, only glanced briefly, returning his focus to his textbook which discussed Colony history—a false history that claimed them as the heroic saviors of Earth. He was completely indifferent to the commotion around him, including Aurora.

The break bell rang, and Zaki hurriedly packed his books, intending to immediately head to the rooftop, where he usually sought solitude. However, his steps paused.

"Zaki Kimeza?"

The girl, Aurora Anveil, was now standing next to him. A faint sweet scent emanated from her indigo hair. Zaki, who was accustomed to being ignored or oppressed due to his status as an Earth native, was surprised.

"I noticed you sitting alone," Aurora said with innocent pink flower eyes. "Want to have lunch with me?"

Zaki had already opened his mouth, preparing to refuse in the shortest possible words, when his sister's cheerful voice interrupted.

"Zaki! Don't be rude!"

Maki appeared with a backpack full of Pioneer Mobile Suit merchandise. Her eyes immediately widened upon seeing Aurora.

"Oh my gosh, you're the famous Aurora Anveil, aren't you? I'm Maki! Zaki's twin. Of course, he wants to have lunch! We'll show you a great secret spot!" Maki exclaimed, nudging Zaki's arm.

Zaki snorted, but it was too late. Maki had already pulled Aurora, who merely smiled happily, down the hallway.

"But, Zaki..." Maki whispered quickly into her brother's ear as they walked, "We have to be nice to her. She looks high-class. Who knows, maybe she has connections to the Colony Mobile Suit warehouses! We might find out what new Pioneer types have been released!"

Zaki only gave his sister a flat look. He knew Maki's obsession with Mobile Suits would cause big trouble one day. However, this time, the trouble came sooner than he expected.

Just as the three of them were about to reach the cafeteria, a loud boom suddenly sounded, followed by a violent tremor that shook the entire school building.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Red alarms immediately blazed across the city.

The Colonian students began to scream in panic. From the school's large windows, a sight that made Zaki and Maki's hearts pound was visible.

In the heart of Neo-Veridia City, thick smoke billowed high from the industrial sector. Amidst the plumes of smoke, giant silhouettes were moving. They were nine old Pioneer Mobile Suits—the type used during the invasion 15 years ago—with large machine guns and heat hawks in their hands, attacking and disrupting the city's supply infrastructure.

"Mobile Suits! Old Type Pioneers! They're attacking!" Maki shouted with a crazy mix of horror and otaku excitement.

The Colony Forces, who considered themselves too superior to be attacked, were in disarray. They were reluctant to deploy their own combat Mobile Suits within the city, fearing collateral damage would destroy the Colonian population and infrastructure. Instead, they could only deploy armored tanks as an initial resistance.

Teachers and the principal started shouting, urging all students to immediately evacuate to the underground bunker. Students ran in hysterical fear. Aurora, her face pale, stood frozen.

But Zaki and Maki did not move. They exchanged glances. In their eyes, there was no fear, but a plan that had been prepared for years.

Zaki raised his left arm, and Maki her right. They touched the surface of the worn watches they wore—a secret communication device made by their mother.

"AIRIS. Mission active. Priority: Target Protection. Coordinates: Neo-Veridia School. Immediately," Zaki commanded inwardly through the device.

Outside, one of the chaotic Pioneer Mobile Suits turned towards the school. Perhaps seeing the window full of crowds, or perhaps simply out of frustration, the steel robot raised its large machine gun and aimed it. The ammunition belt trembled.

RATTATATATATAT!

The shots were fired. Time seemed to freeze. Everyone still in the school hallway screamed.

Suddenly, a massive shadow appeared from the sky. A giant object moved at an unimaginable speed, penetrating the thin atmosphere above Neo-Veridia. It landed hard right in front of the school, kicking up earth and debris.

BLAMMM!

The Pioneer Mobile Suit stopped firing. The machine gun rounds from the Pioneer hit the surface of a large, solid shield, creating massive sparks. Thick smoke billowed, enveloping the area between the school and the enemy Mobile Suit.

This was the opportunity they had been waiting for.

"Let's go!" Zaki shouted.

Maki nodded eagerly. They left the stunned Aurora and ran through the smoke. They ran out of the school, heading towards the mysterious object that had just landed.

Amidst the thick smoke, the silhouette of the White Gundam was visible. The Mobile Suit had been positioned by AIRIS—the AI that was now their guardian—right in front of the school.

Zaki and Maki moved quickly. They knew where the secret hatch was. They climbed the sturdy leg of the White Gundam, jumping into the hidden dual cockpit.

"Zaki, you pilot! I'm the gunner!" Maki exclaimed, her otaku instinct now switching to the instinct of a weapon operator.

Zaki nodded. He grabbed the main control levers. The Mobile Suit, which had been dormant for 15 years, now reacted to the touch of its pilots.

"AIRIS, activate combat mode. Lock target!" Zaki commanded.

"Full Combat Mode Activated. Locking onto Pioneer Mobile Suit Nine. Weapon Operator, stand by."

Maki, who was now in the weapon operator seat, activated the White Gundam's beam rifle. The view on the cockpit screen showed the Pioneer Mobile Suits outside, confused by the appearance of this white Gundam.

"Target locked! Right shoulder!" Maki commanded, aiming for the enemy Mobile Suit's weapon joint.

Zaki pressed the fire button.

WHOOOSH!

An intense, deadly beam of light was fired. The beam struck the Pioneer Mobile Suit's shoulder with terrifying precision, melting the steel and severing the joint holding the machine gun. The Pioneer's arm fell to the ground with a loud thud.

The thick smoke around the school slowly cleared, blown away by the wind.

Under Neo-Veridia's gray sky, amidst the now-frightened Pioneer Mobile Suits, stood the Mobile Suit of hope: the White Gundam, with Zaki and Maki Kimeza inside. The white bird had awakened from its long sleep.

Chapter 2: Twin in One Identity

The cockpit of the White Gundam was a suffocating sanctuary of blinking amber lights and the sharp, ozone-heavy scent of ionized air. Outside, the world of Neo-Veridia had descended into a terrified silence. The remaining Pioneer Mobile Suits—monstrous, boxy relics of a bygone industrial era—had ground to a halt, their heavy sensor arrays twitching in confusion. One of their own lay slumped against the cracked asphalt, its hydraulic fluid leaking like dark, viscous blood, a testament to the surgical precision of the machine now towering over them.

Inside the pilot's throne, Zaki Kimeza's knuckles were white, his grip on the control sticks locked with a intensity that threatened to snap the grips. Beside him, in the weapon operator's station, Maki Kimeza was a flurry of motion. Her fingers danced across the haptic interface, her eyes darting between the real-time threat telemetry and the targeting reticles painting the enemy Pioneers. As one, they tapped their ears, slotting in the sub-dermal communication buds that connected them to their mother's private frequency.

"White Bird, report status!" Airi Kimeza's voice cut through the static, crisp and cold as an arctic wind. She was hidden somewhere in the city, the architect of their operation, the silent hand guiding their every move.

Zaki felt the heavy vibrations of the Mobile Suit beneath his feet—a machine that felt more like a living extension of his own nervous system than a vessel of cold steel. "Status nominal, Mom," Zaki replied, his voice strained but steady. "Pioneer One is neutralized. Its propulsion systems are slagged."

"Good. Don't get comfortable," Airi countered, her tone shifting to one of clinical urgency. "We have multiple contacts. Three teams, each consisting of three Pioneers. You've only dealt with one. That's eight left on the field. You are outnumbered, and the situation is precarious."

She paused, the weight of her next order heavy on the line. "Listen to me, Zaki, Maki. That city? It's a Colony asset. If we turn this sector into a slaughterhouse, we lose the moral high ground, and we risk the lives of every citizen in Neo-Veridia. I am placing a hard restriction on your engagement parameters. The Beam Rifle and all heavy particle ordnance are locked. You are strictly forbidden from using them unless we are staring down total annihilation."

Zaki felt a cold prickle of sweat run down his neck. "No high-particle weapons? Mom, we're up against eight squads—"

"I am aware of the math, Zaki," Airi cut him off, her voice dropping into a register that brook no argument. "More importantly: DO NOT KILL THEIR PILOTS. The Pioneer's cockpit architecture is flawed; the pilot sits in the chest cavity, not the head. If you aim for center mass, you commit murder. Aim for the joint actuators, the sensory arrays, the weapon hands. Cripple them, don't execute them. We fight for the liberation of the people, not to become the butchers they claim we are. Do you understand?"

Zaki shared a glance with Maki. Their twin-bond, a psychic echo that they had nurtured since childhood, flared between them—a silent consensus of grim determination.

"Understood, Mom," Zaki said, his jaw set. "Vulcans and Beam Sabers only. We'll disable them."

"Understood!" Maki chirped, her voice masking the terror with an infectious enthusiasm that Zaki knew was just as much of a shield as the Gundam's armor.

Zaki reached down and slammed the power pedal to the floor. The hidden particle engine—a piece of technology decades ahead of anything the Pioneer units possessed—roared to life with a high-pitched, harmonic whine. It wasn't the clunky, combustion-heavy roar of an old engine; it was the sound of a star being tamed. The White Gundam didn't just stand; it surged, antigravity plates humming as the machine lifted from the street, defying the laws of gravity. Zaki engaged the thrusters, and with a thunderous BOOM that shattered the remaining windows of the nearby school, the machine rocketed upward, leaving a dense, dissipating plume of smoke in its wake.

Down on the deserted street, huddled behind the remnants of a rusted perimeter fence, Aurora Anveil watched the scene with wide, unblinking eyes. Her breath hitched in her throat. The sight of the white machine hovering in defiance of physics struck something deep within her—a dormant instinct, a memory she couldn't quite name. Without a conscious thought, her body moved. She scrambled onto an old electric scooter, the wheels skidding on the loose gravel, and twisted the throttle. She didn't head for safety. She sped toward the city center, drawn by a gravity she couldn't escape, chasing the White Gundam like a moth to a blinding, lethal flame.

Above the skyline, the eight remaining Pioneers had finally shaken off their stupor. They fanned out, their machine guns locking into place with a mechanical grinding of gears.

"Zaki, target lock! They're initiating a firing sequence," Maki shouted, her hands blur-fast on the console.

"AIRIS, initialize combat assist," Zaki muttered.

The cockpit display flickered, and the White Gundam's onboard AI, AIRIS, overlaid the reality with streams of predictive data. Zaki felt the control sticks grow lighter, the AI guiding his inputs. He didn't fight the controls; he let them lead. The Gundam banked hard, a fluid, dancer-like motion that felt impossible for a machine of its mass. The Pioneer bullets, fired in a frantic, uncoordinated volley, tore through the space where the Gundam had been just a microsecond before, striking nothing but empty, smog-filled air.

"Maki, clear for Beam Saber! Close combat," Zaki commanded, his voice hardening into the cadence of a veteran commander.

"Activating Beam Saber!" Maki slapped the activation sequence.

From the Gundam's forearm-mounted storage, twin blades of searing, lime-green energy erupted. They hissed, ionizing the air around them. Zaki slammed the thrusters, closing the distance to the lead Pioneer team in the blink of an eye. The lead unit, still sporting a damaged arm from the first skirmish, raised its rifle in a desperate act of defiance.

It was a mistake.

Zaki didn't hesitate. He swung the shorter of the two Beam Sabers, a clean, horizontal arc. SLICE. The superheated blade sheared through the Pioneer's hydraulic shoulder joint like a hot knife through wax. The massive arm collapsed, the rifle clattering to the ground.

The Pioneer stumbled, its balance compromised. Before it could regain its footing, Zaki flicked his wrist. The Gundam's Head Vulcan Cannons whirred, and a stream of high-caliber, non-lethal kinetic rounds erupted.

TRRAKK! TRRAKK!

The rounds peppered the top of the Pioneer's head, shattering the camera sensors and blinding the unit. The machine tilted backward, its pilot effectively isolated and neutralized, trapped in a dark, silent metal box.

"Target down!" Maki reported, her voice steady.

Suddenly, a massive shadow loomed over them. A Pioneer from the second team, its movements more calculated, surged from behind a skyscraper, a massive Heat Axe glowing with incandescent red energy raised high above its head. The pilot brought it down in a brutal, vertical strike.

Zaki saw the warning ping from AIRIS, but his reaction was purely instinctual. He raised his left Beam Saber, bracing for the impact.

CLANG!

The collision of the Beam Saber and the Heat Axe sent a shockwave of sparks cascading into the sky. Zaki felt the vibration rattle his teeth, a bone-jarring impact that resonated through the entire frame of the Gundam. The control stick shuddered, trying to wrench itself from his grip.

"Zaki, it's too heavy! The joint won't hold!" Maki screamed.

"Maki, focus on the enemy's right wrist! Now!" Zaki gritted his teeth, pushing back against the immense hydraulic pressure of the enemy unit.

Maki didn't hesitate. She locked the target, her thumb hovering over the Vulcan trigger. As Zaki channeled every ounce of his strength into the parry, shoving the Heat Axe upward, Maki squeezed the trigger. The Vulcans unleashed a staccato burst. The rounds struck the Pioneer's wrist joint with pinpoint accuracy. The metal crumpled, the connection failing. Zaki pivoted, rotating the Gundam's torso, and delivered a swift slash to the now-defenseless wrist.

The Heat Axe dropped, falling into the abyss of the city below. The Pioneer was disarmed, stumbling back, its weaponless arm hanging limp.

The White Gundam spun away, using the momentum to drift toward the roof of an abandoned data-center tower. Zaki cut the thrusters, letting the machine settle with a heavy, metallic thud that cracked the concrete beneath its feet. They had breathing room.

Zaki exhaled, his chest heaving, sweat stinging his eyes. He looked down toward the street, his gaze drawn by a strange, inexplicable pull. Down on the dirty, debris-strewn road, a small, solitary figure on a scooter had come to a halt.

It was the girl.

Aurora Anveil. Her hair, a vibrant, striking indigo, was whipped about by the wind, yet she stood frozen, looking up. She wasn't running anymore. She was staring—looking past the armored plating, looking past the machine, staring directly at the monochromatic lens that served as the Gundam's eye.

Zaki felt a strange sensation in his chest—a mix of recognition and dread. He had to know why she was there. What was she looking for?

"Maki, hold position. Don't engage," Zaki ordered, his voice dropping to a whisper.

Slowly, carefully, Zaki manipulated the controls. The massive, multi-ton machine bowed its head, the giant camera eye zooming in, adjusting its focus to the single human point of interest on the landscape below.

On the main screen, Aurora's face filled the frame. She looked pale, small against the backdrop of the ruined city, but her eyes—pink, flower-like, and impossibly deep—met the camera's gaze. There was no fear left in them, only a profound, haunting curiosity, and a terror that felt ancient.

Zaki stared, paralyzed for a fleeting second, caught in the silent communion between the pilot of a god-machine and a girl who seemed to hold the secrets of the world in her eyes. He wanted to speak, to ask her why she wasn't running, to ask if she knew who they were.

But the comms light blinked red again.

"Zaki! More contacts appearing on the radar! They're flanking the sector!" Airi's voice was urgent.

The spell broke. Zaki jerked the control stick, the Gundam's head snapping back to the horizon. He couldn't afford the luxury of curiosity. Not today. He pushed the throttle forward, and the White Gundam leaped back into the fray, leaving the indigo-haired girl alone in the dust of the battlefield, a silent witness to a destiny just beginning to unfold.
