that we don’t even realize

they are about to change everything.

It was an ordinary day,

nothing special about the sky,

nothing magical about the air.

People were walking past each other,

the world was moving the same way it always does.

And then…

there was you.

I didn’t know your story.

I didn’t know your dreams,

your fears,

or the secrets your heart was hiding.

All I saw was a simple moment—

a passing glance,

a small smile

that probably meant nothing to you.

But somehow,

it meant everything to me.

There was something about the way

your presence felt calm,

like a quiet sunset

after a long restless day.

I didn’t understand it then.

How could someone

who was still a stranger

feel so familiar to my heart?

Maybe it was the way

your eyes held a thousand untold stories.

Maybe it was the way

your laughter sounded like something

my soul had been waiting to hear.

Or maybe love doesn’t really need reasons.

Sometimes it simply happens

in the smallest moment,

in the shortest glance,

in a second that feels ordinary

until you remember it years later.

Looking back now,

I realize that moment was the beginning

of a story I didn’t know

I was about to live.
