I Became the Villian's Husband (Taekook)
EPISODE 1 – The Book That Shouldn’t Exist
The university library was unusually quiet that evening. The last golden rays of sunlight slipped through the tall windows, stretching across the wooden tables where a few students still sat studying. The soft sound of pages turning and keyboards tapping filled the peaceful space.
At a table near the window, Jungkook sat with several books scattered in front of him. His laptop screen showed the university library catalog as he searched again for the same title.
His professor had assigned a novel for their literature class discussion, and everyone had already started reading it.
Except him.
Jungkook leaned back in his chair with a tired sigh.
Jeon jungkook
“Why is this book impossible to find…”
He typed the title again into the search bar.
The Villain’s Tragic Marriage.
The same message appeared again.
Checked Out.
Jungkook groaned quietly and rubbed the back of his neck.
Finally he stood up and walked toward the library desk.
Jeon jungkook
“Excuse me.”
The librarian looked up from her computer.
Jeon jungkook
“I’m looking for a novel called The Villain’s Tragic Marriage.”
The librarian searched through the system before nodding.
librarian
“One copy was returned this morning.”
She turned around and pulled a thick book from a shelf behind her.
She placed it gently on the counter.
librarian
“This is the last copy.”
Jungkook smiled with relief.
Jeon jungkook
“Thank you.”
He returned to his seat and opened the novel.
The first chapters introduced a powerful and ruthless CEO named Taehyung.
According to the story, Taehyung controlled a massive corporation and was feared by almost everyone in the business world.
But his personal life was a disaster.
The novel described how he had a husband who constantly betrayed him.
Jungkook continued reading until a name suddenly caught his attention.
Jeon Jungguk.
Jungkook blinked at the page.
He read the name again.
Jeon Jungguk.
He leaned back slightly in his chair
His name was Jeon Jungkook.
Only one letter was different.
Jungkook let out a small laugh.
Jeon jungkook
“That’s way too similar.”
He continued reading.
The story explained how Jungguk married Taehyung for money and status.
Behind Taehyung’s back, Jungguk secretly worked with his enemies.
Eventually Jungguk betrayed him and leaked important company secrets.
The ending of the novel was brutal.
Jungguk lost everything.
His reputation.
His wealth.
Even his family abandoned him.
And in the final chapter—
He died alone.
Jungkook closed the book slowly.
Jeon jungkook
“That character is really stupid.”
He stretched his arms and looked around the library.
Jeon jungkook
“If I were him, I would never betray someone that powerful.”
The lights flickered slightly above him.
Jungkook frowned and looked up.
Jeon jungkook
“Did the power just—”
Suddenly a sharp pain shot through his head.
His vision blurred.
He grabbed the table for support.
Jeon jungkook
“What is happening…”
The room spun around him.
Then everything went black.
A dull ache spread through Jungkook’s body as he slowly regained consciousness.
He groaned softly and opened his eyes.
The first thing he noticed was the unfamiliar ceiling above him.
It was white with modern lights embedded in it.
The room was dim, illuminated only by the faint glow of city lights coming through a large window.
Jungkook slowly sat up.
He realized he was lying on the floor inside a spacious apartment.
Broken glass glittered near the coffee table.
A lamp had fallen sideways.
The air smelled faintly of alcohol.
Jungkook held his head in pain.
Jeon jungkook
“Where… am I…”
He tried to stand up but staggered slightly.
His body felt weak and sore.
Then he noticed two women standing a few steps away from him.
Their expressions were cold.
Jungkook’s eyes widened when he recognized them.
Kim Jisoo.
Jennie Kim.
They were characters from the novel.
Jungkook’s heart began racing.
Jeon jungkook
“Wait… you two…”
Jennie leaned casually against the wall with an irritated expression.
Kim Jennie
“You’re still conscious?”
Jisoo crossed her arms and looked down at him with disgust.
Kim jisoo
“You’re really pathetic, Jungguk.”
Jungkook froze.
Jungguk.
Not Jungkook.
He looked down at himself.
The clothes he was wearing were completely different.
A luxurious silk shirt and expensive trousers.
His breathing became uneven as unfamiliar memories flooded his mind.
The mansion.
The marriage.
The powerful CEO.
Taehyung.
Jungkook whispered in disbeli
Jeon jungkook
“No… this can’t be real…”
Jennie stepped closer and grabbed his collar
Kim Jennie
“You thought you could betray Taehyung and get away with it?”
Jungkook shook his head quickly.
Kim jisoo
“You leaked company secrets to us.”
She crouched slightly to look at him.
Kim jisoo
And now Taehyung knows everything.”
Jungkook tried to step back.
But Jennie shoved him hard.
He fell onto the floor again.
Pain shot through his side.
Jisoo suddenly kicked him in the stomach.
Jungkook gasped.
Jennie struck him across the face.
Kim Jennie
“You deserve this.”
Another blow hit him.
And another.
Jungkook curled slightly on the apartment floor as pain overwhelmed him.
Blood dripped slowly from the corner of his lips.
The room spun around him.
Jisoo’s cold voice echoed in the quiet apartment.
Kim jisoo
“Let’s see if Taehyung still wants a useless husband like you.”
Jungkook’s vision blurred.
And darkness slowly swallowed him again.
