(Location: The top floor of Jeon Global. The hallway is silent, marble-floored, and suffocatingly cold. Kim Taehyung stands before the massive oak doors of the CEO's office, clutching a leather folder.)
Taehyung takes a deep breath, his knuckles turning white as he grips his documents. He hasn't even met the man yet, but the rumors alone were enough to make his skin crawl

(Whispering to himself) You need this job, Taehyung. Just stay quiet. Be a shadow. Don't let him see you tremble.
(He pushes the doors open. The office is vast, overlooking the city skyline. Jeon Jungkook is sitting behind a desk of black glass, his eyes fixed on a monitor. He doesn't look up.)
Jeon Jungkook
(His voice is low, like a blade sliding over silk) You're four seconds late.
Kim Taehyung
(Startled, bowing quickly) I apologize, Sir. The elevator—
Jeon Jungkook
(Cutting him off, finally looking up. His eyes are dark, piercing, and completely devoid of warmth.) I don't pay my staff to give me excuses. I pay them to anticipate obstacles.
Jungkook stands up. He is taller than in the magazines, his presence heavy and demanding. He walks slowly toward Taehyung, his gaze scanning him like he's looking for a flaw

(Voice steady, despite his heart racing) I’m here to be your secretary, Mr. Jeon. Nothing more.

(Turning his back, walking toward the window) Good. Then keep it that way. Get my coffee—black, no sugar. If it’s even a degree too warm, consider your first day your last.
Taehyung bows and turns to leave. Just as he reaches the door, his phone vibrates in his pocket. A notification from the office system pops up

The thermometer hits 180°C. Taehyung immediately pours the coffee into a sleek, matte black thermos and sprints toward the CEO’s office. He enters just as Jungkook is signing a stack of documents.

(Without looking up) You’re ten seconds slower than the coffee machine’s optimal cycle.
Kim Taehyung
(Setting the cup down carefully on a marble coaster) It is exactly 180 degrees, Sir. I checked it three times.
Jeon Jungkook
(He finally stops writing. He reaches out, his long fingers wrapping around the cup. He takes a slow, deliberate sip. Taehyung holds his breath.)

Location: The Conference Room. The air is thick with tension. The other directors—Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hobi—are all seated. Jungkook sits at the head of the table like a king on a throne. Taehyung stands directly behind him, clutching the folder.

(Clearing his throat) So, the merger with the Parisian firm is stalled. They say our terms are too... aggressive.

(Coldly) Their incompetence isn't my problem. If they can’t handle the terms, we buy them out entirely and fire their board.

(Leaning back, eyes half-closed) That's a lot of paperwork, JK.
Jeon Jungkook
(Turning slightly to Taehyung) Mr. Kim. Did you read the brief I gave you this morning?
Kim Taehyung
(Stiffening) Yes, Sir. Every page.
Jeon Jungkook
Then tell Mr. Min why a total buyout is more efficient than a merger.
The entire room goes silent. The directors all turn to look at Taehyung. It’s a trap. A secretary isn't supposed to speak during a board meeting.
Kim Taehyung
(Takes a breath, his voice steadying) Because under Article 4 of the Parisian labor law, a buyout allows for immediate restructuring of the executive tier, whereas a merger requires a two-year transition period. We’d lose 15% in revenue just waiting for them to agree on a color for the logo.
(Yoongi raises an eyebrow. Jin stops checking his reflection in his phone screen. Jungkook remains expressionless, but his eyes linger on Taehyung for a second longer than usual.)
