I am Nephyllia, and this is my story...

In a vast and prosperous kingdom of Rave ruled by King Claude Izrael Rave and Queen Jasmine Zafiro Rave, which is divided into ten towns ruled by Dukes and Duchesses. One of the ten towns that stands out because it is famous and most well-known in the entire kingdom is the Town of Avaloria, where there is a large mansion inhabited by Duke Nathan Royal Avaloria and Duchess Anastasia Kallistar Avaloria who is pregnant with their youngest child.

On February 9th, I was born and named Nephyllia Kallistar Avaloria. A few minutes after I was born, Mother passed away, much to the sorrow of Father and my brother, and caused Father to burn all of Mother's belongings. As I grew up, my father's feelings for me are growing further and further apart. "***Maybe Father blames me for Mother's death***..." that's what always come on my mind because no matter what I do, he doesn't even pay attention to me.

On the night of my birthday, the night I will never forget and the one that changed the course of my life, Father introduced everyone to a woman with a gentle face and ocean-like eyes. Which was similar to my father's eyes and mine, and I was shocked to find that she was also my sister, Nathalia Jones Avaloria. She immediately caught everyone's attention, especially the attention and love of our Father that I will never be able to achieve.

I was so hopeless that my father would love me back and I envied him as I watched them happily talking and celebrating on the day of my 14th birthday as if I wasn't the one celebrating, as if I wasn't one of them. Fortunately, Brother Anastacio and Miss Athanasia took me away, they took me to a vast garden, far from that pleasure. They are the only ones who love and care about me.

Big brother Anastacio is a handsome, tall, intelligent, kind and responsible man. He is the best friend and confidant of the crown prince, Prince Azrael Zafiro Rave. And Miss Athanasia is my friend and trusted guardian, beautiful, kind and responsible teacher of my brother and Prince Azrael. Prince Azrael is the second son of the king, but he only killed his own brother who was older than him because the first prince had a mental problem, and for him to take the throne until his right age, he was the one who loves Nathalia.

Since Nathalia came into our lives, everything has changed, I'm always blamed for sins I didn't commit and I'm always neglected, but the people who love me don't abandon me.

After four years, I became a full-fledged young woman at 18 years old. I was happy with Kuya and Miss Athanasia, until... My world turned upside down when I accused of plotting to poison Father and Nathalia by putting it in their food. I was sentenced to six months in prison.

Six months passed, they released me and took me to the Duke's office.

"Father..." My introduction

Father seemed to look at me very coldly, speechless, as his right hand read the decree of my sins, and I was surprised when he said that I would be killed in next week.

"Father...! I will never be able to poison you or Nathalia even though all I want is your attention and love, and I will also be considered one of your children...!"

"Shut up! I don't have a daughter like you. Get her out of my sight."

It was only then that I realized that Father would never love me back and I was completely dragged out of Father's office. A week passed and the time came when I would take my last breath and see them for the last time, when I arrived at the place of my death, I saw that there were people present to witness my end, especially the chosen prince, Prince Azrael, whom I had always followed since I was young and now here as Nathalia's fiancé.

"Is there anything else you would like to say as your final statement?" The General asked me.

"Yes. I want to tell you something, Father," I looked at him, "I loved you very much even though I know you can't consider me as your daughter, but I never thought of killing you... Father, Brother Anastacio, Miss Athanasia, and Prince Azrael... I loved and cherish you..." I hinted through tears.

I saw the tears falling from Brother and Miss Athanasia, and the surprise of Father and Prince Azrael. When I saw that, I was satisfied, so I brought my neck close to the sword where it poke me and I took my own life with a smile on my lips and tears in my eyes. Little by little, I saw Brother, Miss Athanasia, and my housekeepers approaching me, filled with sadness, and that was when my life ended.

In the middle of the dark landscape, I saw a light and I followed it, I saw a plain full of beautiful plants and flowers surrounded by lush forests. I slowly walked there and watched the animals running around like children, without any fighting or pain, I happily watched them until I fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes again from sleep, I immediately caught sight of the familiar furnishings, the design of the room, and the bed I was lying on. I squeezed my cheek to see if I was just dreaming, but it hurt so much that I realized it was all real, I felt the hand was small who squeezed me when I squeezed my cheek. I approached the mirror opposite my bed, and saw my reflection as a little girl, only three years old.

"Is all that just a dream? Aren't they real? Is it a nightmare or just a prophecy?" questions that I haven't been able to answer yet. While thinking too much, tears flowed down my face as a caregiver entered.

"Lady Nephyllia, are you hungry? Just calm down..." she said before picking me up and calming me down.

"Athanasia..." I whispered, which made me cry even more.

She also let me calm for a few hours, I never thought that in my dream I would see her being exiled to another town because she always defended me and only then was she sent back to see my death. Athanasia and I are together every day, I avoid calling her Sister because in my dream, my situation with my Father has gotten worse, I don't know why Father hates Athanasia so much, but his heart also softens every time he sees her smile.

Two years have passed, and I can now study in my room without anyone helping me. I left the room to see my brother, whom I hadn't seen in a long time because of my studies, so I went to the garden where he always studies. My brother is three years older than me, but he's just so handsome.

"Brother!" I'm happy to call him.

"Oh Nephyllia, It's been a while since I saw you. Come here."

I approached him and sat next to him.

"Why aren't you with Athanasia?" my brother asked.

"She's just taking care of something. Do you have someone to study with? There are only two seats here."

"Yes, I have a study buddy, I'm just taking care of him. How have you been these past two years? You've grown so much, you're five years old."

"It's fine, I've studied everything, including the languages."

"Aren't you tired?"

"No, brother."

A little while later, we heard footsteps approaching us, then stopping behind us.

"It looks like you have a young lady with you, Anastacio" it says.

My brother turned behind him and smiled.

"I'm with my sister, it's a good thing you came back just in time, Azrael." my brother replied.

I was surprised and looked behind me and saw a man with an attractive appearance, tall, with fair skin, chocolate eyes, and straight black hair. I immediately stood up from my seat and paid my respects to the prince.

"Dear prince." I greeted him with surprised expression.

It seemed like his expression changed from cold to gradually softening and he smiled at me, satisfied with my reaction.

"Azrael, she is my youngest sister. She is Nephyllia" My brother introduced me.

The prince looked at me.

"You can hold your head up, you don't have to be formal with me anymore" he said.

"But—"

"Don't let me repeat what I've just said, that's a command not a request"

My whole body went cold at what he said, I was afraid that what happened in my dream might happen to me, but sooner. The prince suddenly sighed.

"I'm sorry for my behavior."

"That's fine."

"Just call me 'Azrael'"

"I'm sorry, but if you'll excuse me, I'd rather call you prince or your highness than by your name."

"So, what would you like to call me?"

"If you don't mind, may I call you 'Brother Azel'?"

His right eyebrow rose in curiosity.

"Brother Azel? Azel? Shouldn't it be 'brother Azrael'?"

"But that's what I want to call you."

"If that's what you want, I'll give it to you, but I also want to call you."

"What is it, Azel?"

"You'll know when the time is right when I call you."

He smiled and winked at me as he approached brother Anastacio and sat next to him to continue their study.

"Am I disturbing you?"

They just smiled at me.

"Not at all, Nephy." Azel said with a teasing smile.

My cheeks turned red when he called me by the nickname he gave me.

"Did you just call her 'Nephy'?" my brother asked.

"Yes, do we have a problem with that?"

"Not at all, but Nephyllia's cheeks turned red when you call her Nephy" my brother pointed out.

"Brother!" I shout with a redden cheeks and embarrassment.

It had been a month since that encounter. I thought that if what happened in my dream was going to happen in the present, I should be prepared for whatever might happen. I left my room and went to the kitchen where the maids were cooking, I knocked on the door which caused the maids to look at me.

"Lady Nephyllia, what are you doing here? Do you need anything? Do you want something to eat?" an assistant asked.

"I just want to ask for chocolates and sweets because I miss their taste, can you give me at least a few?" I'm making cute face to them.

I make my face more cute and pitiful so that they may grant me what I ask. I hear their whispers, like "***She's so gentle...!", "I want to give her...!", "She looks just like the Duchess...!" and "She's as charming as the Duchess***...!" So, in order to seduce them, they gave me chocolates and sweets.

After I take the chocolates and sweets, I helped them to put decorations to the kitchen. Later on after we decorated it, we leave so that we can work with something else. Minutes have passed, I was planning to come back to fix something when I saw a maid that keeps peeking to a door, so I approach her.

"Uh... What are you doing there?"

It's obvious to her face and reaction the shocked and fear.

"Uh... Little one, do you know where the treasures are hidden?"

"Yes, come with me and I can show you the way where it is. I know some place"

She followed me because she thought that I am just an ordinary girl. I take her to the kitchen.

"What are we even doing here? This is not the place where the treasures are hidden" she pointed out.

I took out a one plate that has a design of diamonds that was buried and utensils that was covered in gold.

"What can you say about this?" I asked her.

"You are a really reliable kid." she said anxiously.

She deliberately pulled off the diamonds to the plates and she put it on the pouches and also the golden ***utensils***. She put it on the top of the table as she digged another things.

"You know for a daughter of a gardener like you, you have a guts to take me where the wealth was hidden." she insulted.

But she didn't even know that I approach to the table and took the pouches of diamonds and gold.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not the girl you are thinking of" I said.

"What are you doing?" she confusingly asked.

"I'm not going to let a thief like you to take away my Mansion's wealth"

"Come back here!" she furiously yell.

She planned to hurt me, but I deliberately run towards the rope that connects to the chandelier of the ceiling, but she didn't notice it.

"Give it back to me! That's mine!" she furiously demanded.

I quickly pull out the rope and that causes the chandelier to drop.

"Things that are mine will never be yours!"

And then, the chandelier drop right before her, but its weight was enough to make her alive. Maybe my comrades heard it outside, so they quickly went in and Athanasia came first, she tightly hugged me because of her worries about me.

"Lady Nephyllia, what happened? You worry me too much."

"I saw someone wanted to take our wealth here in the kitchen, so I've decided to teach her a little lesson"

"Don't you ever to do that again, what if something bad happens to you? Do you get it, huh?"

I nod and smile at her, but they didn't know that the pouches of diamonds and golds were hidden at the bottom of my dress. The night passed and I planned to sleep when I realized the pouches, so I put it under my bed where I collect the diamonds and golds that I took to the sweets that I ate, where those were used to pick it up.

The day after, I asked for the sweets same as the old days and the same as always, they keep giving me what I asked. I went to the forest where it is far from the Mansion and has a beautiful scenery, I ate the sweets here and the lefts were the sticks that covered in gold and diamond. I put it on my pouches that I have been kept and buried it on the ground where I can remember. Since when I was a child, I was fond of eating sweets especially to the chocolates and sweets. Many of them was worries about my health cause maybe it will harm my body, but if they see the attractive and gentle face I made, they can't help themselves but to give it to me even if it is ordered by Athanasia not to let me eat some sweets. They will keep giving some of those if they see my smile receiving the sweets.

Since my Mother died, Athanasia forget her position to take a good care of me to the very young age at twelve years old. She was also breastfeeding and feeding me, and she taught me to read and write. That's why I thank her too much because she's the one who take care of me, as of now, I'm still blessed and grateful to her even though she had a very tragic life and memories in my dreams at the past.
