The family car drives inside and stops at the main entrance.
At the entrance steps, I was greeted by the Head Girl.

Hello! I'm Tala! Welcome to Princi Academy! 😊

The Headmistress instructed me to escort you to your dorm room and then give you a brief tour of the campus and your classrooms.
So we started down the hall.
Arona
Wow. was it intentionally built like a castle?

Oh, haha. Yes, actually.

Nice. But I feel like I'll get lost in the enormity of it. 🤭😆

Not to worry! The layout is quite simple, and there are directive maps on each floor at the end of every corridor and in each of the classrooms.
Tala
And also, there's an app map of the school where you can navigate the directions right on your PRINCI Tablet.
Arona
Woah. That's so cool.
Tala
Yup! 😊 We just have to visit the Library IT to get the app installed on your phone, so you won't have to bring your tablet everywhere.
Tala
The Girl's Dorm are on the second, third and fourth floor of the West Building, while the Boys Dorm are on the East building.
We walked up the stairs and into a hallway.
Arona
Wow. This place is beautiful ..
Tala
Year 8 to 12 Girls are in this floor. And the floor below us, are Year 4 to 7 girls and the floor below that are girls from Year 1 to 3.
Arona
That's quite a lot 😮
Tala pointed to the door at the end of the hall.

That's the common room. And in each floor we have them.
We went inside and found a few girls reading in the sofa, sleeping and browsing through books.
We quietly went back outside and Tala stopped by three doors from the common room.

Here is your dorm assigned. 😊

In your ID card, there is a bar code for the lock system on the door.
I looked down on my ID which I had worn over my neck and tapped it on the door's lock system.
The door opened and we walked inside.
This room is so beautiful.
And it's in my favorite color too.
Well, the Academy's color is Black and Red...

The curtain behind the beds are your walk-in closets. And the mini stairs to your lofts are just behind those shelves.
I noticed my luggages and suitcases were already on the right side of the room.
💬 I guess I have the bed on the right side then...

The showers are located at the end of the other side of the hall. It's a communal shower and toilet, and there's one on every floor of the dorm.
Tala
So, take it in ...smell the pine and peppermint, and get used to it because, Yala is obsessed with essential oils 😆

She's in fencing class now.
I respectfully peeked at Yala's bedside table and squinted my ryes to get a good look at her.
Tala
She's Captain of the Fencing Team and a National Athlete. 😊☺️
Tala
Bagged a silver medal at the Olympics just last year.
Athletes back at my old Academy were A-holes, to say the least.
Tala
😆 Oh don't worry...Yala is the sweetest and kindest person you'll ever meet.

She's also one of my good friends.

Tala gave me a few minutes to walk around the room and even checkout the loft and the closet space before heading back to the hallway.

And now there, at the end of that opposite hall, is the communal showers and toilet.
We walked in and there were some girls in bathrobes and towels.
Some girls were doing makeup on the vanity and some were coming out in bath robes.

The lockers here are for your stuff.

Over this side when you walk in to the left you have showers and sinks and as well to the other side.
When we walked in there was steam everywhere coming out of the cubicles upward.

Now, let's not disturb some of them.
Tala
The other side has a communal pool bath. Basically, they get in towels and just soak in this really bug hot tub, but some girls like getting in butt naked...so 😆
Tala
So, if you're a little on the conservative side, I suggest you stick to the showers 😆
She led me out of the baths and we walked down once again to the main hall.

Now the classrooms are really easy to navigate. Some classrooms are assigned for a larger scale lectures that most of the time can accommodate almost all sections in one year.

Wow. That's a lot of students
Tala
Yep. The Major Subjects for Juniors like us are of course, General Communication, Mathematics, Science, History, Values Education or V.E. And Industrial Arts.
Arona
Ohh, so these subjects are more likely were we have other sections with us?
Arona
How many sections are there in Junior High?
Tala
Twenty-five students in total each.
Arona
They must love teaching or hate having to waste teaching the same subject five times a day... 👀

Tala led me to the second floor of the North Building where there were total of three massive lecture halls.
We peeked through the opened door at the top of the room where we saw lectures on Mathematics.
Ah...A little insight, today was the second week of classes. I was a late admission and it was Friday.
The Headmistress and I have already exchanged greetings and words last week regarding my transfer and accommodation at this Academy.
I was set to start official classes by Monday as I need to catch up answer to review sessions tomorrow with my homeroom teacher.
The second lecture hall looked like this..m

This lecture hall is for Industrial Arts in Technological Education. We won't be entering this class until the Half of the semester.

This one's for History Class.

This is the Dome Classroom, we use this classroom for V.E. Or Values Education...

Wow. It's like a court room or something....

There's two of each lecture halls on different levels of the building for the seniors and the middle years.
We walked back to the corridor.

This is the floor where the big lecture halls are at.
Tala
Bow going up, are the normal sized classrooms.

These are the classrooms.

Some of them are having classes now but if you look into these pictures ..
Tala pulled put her tablet from inside her handbag and as we stand outside the rooms, she swipes the picture of what that room would look like in her tablet.

This is the Science Laboratory.
We went to the next door.

These classrooms are so Medieval coded...
I've only seen boarding schools like this on the internet, not knowing I'll actually ever step foot-err...study in one.

And here is the student's library.
We went to the last door of the corridor.

There's two identically, one here and one at the South Wing.
Oh...I know I'll be spending most of my time here!
We walked back to the corridor and Tala pointed to the other side of the corridor.

Three rooms are the same ones before and the last door is the Student's Lounge
I know I won't be spending time here ..
There were students playing and some charring but how is it so loud??
We walked back out and she led me downstairs.
We walked out the courtyard.
Tala
That's the Sports Complex, to the right, just next to the Boy's Dorm.
So we toured that place. Where sports arenas, courts and etc were.

Now let's go outside.
She led me to the hall outside.
Tala
It's just on that other side of the building.
After a long walk, we walked out onto the Archery Fields.
And a small Park and Garden and the river, next to it
Walking to the other side is a garden.
Tala
And now, for the main attraction and where most sports tournaments happen.
We went to the South Wing.

The building behind it houses the School Clubs, Student Council and Committees

Basically for Art and Technology Units you have to take for your extracurricular credits.

Could this school get any bigger?

It's a pleasure! Ah, we should head back. It's almost dinner time.
Breakfast is at 6am and dinner is at 6pm.
We headed back to the main building.
Just behind to the left of this stairs is the Canteen and Breakfast Lounge

That's the breakfast lounge and snack bar.
Tala
This is the ground floor canteen and then when you walk upstairs, is another set of tables and chairs you can eat on, if you prefer more silence, then that up there might be your vibe.
We walked up the stairs and looking behind me I could see students crowding in.
Tala
This is actually used more on student lunch meetings, but everyone's totally allowed here.
Arona
Is this canteen for every year?
Tala
Ah, no. This canteen is for the High School, Year 7 to 12
Tala
The lower years have their own on the other side of this building, at the back.
I nodded in understanding.
Tala
Well ...shall we eat then? ☺️

Tala and I decided to eat downstairs. Fortunately, the canteen is wide and big enough that even when there are at least a hundred students here, it feels less still.
Arona
Are students allowed to bring their meals from the canteen to the dorms?
Arona
I haven't gotten to that part yet of the Student Handbook...
Tala
It depends. You'll need an Advisory Card, that must come from the Disciplinary Office with your excuse as to why you want to take or why you want your meal to be taken up your dorm.
Arona
Ohh...so for the students who are sick and something like that?
Tala
Yeah! There are exceptions like that.

This is Yala, she is my room mate.
We got to seat here because she also called Tala over a while ago and we got to introduce ourselves.
There's also another girl with us, named Devone, who is Tala's roommate and best friend.

Mine's February 18th.

Have you guys been friends for a long time?
Devone
Tala and I have known each other since we were in middle school, and Yala and I met in Fencing.
Devone
For a while I did, but it isn't for me. So I switched to Journalism and I mostly write for the Academy Paper.
Arona

They looked at each other and then bursted out giggling.

We were enemies at first...

It was in Year 9... We both went out with this guy from the other school and we didn't know he was two-timing us, and I thought Tala and him were cheating on me so I confronted her about it...

And then, I snapped back at her and told her I was just as clueless as she is ...

So then we both planned a revenge plot and yeah...

The rest is history, we became good friends after that.
Yala
With Devone of course, mediating between us and revealing the truth about that scumbag.
Wow. They're so close with each other.
I didn't have much friends back at my old Acdemy...
But...being alone is fine too... So I guess it'll be alright...if i don't fit in with them too...
I smiled, feeling a genuine warmth between them.
Devone leaned in and propped her elbows on the table.

That must be hard, being separated from your friends huh... 😔

To be honest, I'm not someone who had a lot of friends back at my old school ...

I'm too focused on my studies to even socialize, plus, it doesn't really fulfill anything in me... Hehe
They were silent for a while when Devone slapped the table with her hands and nodded in approval.

I jolted in my seat turned behind us to see two guys face to face.
It was too hard for us to hear but it looked like two male students arguing with each other.

The tall one with the dark long hair and tattoo on the neck us Gunther Blackwood and the guy he's fighting with is Terrence Ford.
My eyes widened at the name.
That tall, chiseled and broad guy is GUNTHER BLACKWOOD!?
