He pulled out his phone, scrolling through it with a bored expression. After a moment, he spoke without looking up.

"I have a gala next weekend. You'll attend with me. Wear something...appropriate."
He finally looked up from his phone, catching her calm agreement. A brief flicker of something—approval?—crossed his face before it vanished behind his usual Stoic mask.
The waiter returned with there drinks with a Cake, He dismissed him with a wave and set his phone aside, his cold gaze settling on her properly for the first time since sitting down.

*Aaliyah took a bite of the cake then moved the fork closer to Adam* "Try it"
He stared at you for a moment, clearly surprised by the casual gesture. Then, slowly, he leaned forward and took the bite of cake from her fork. His expression remained neutral, but he didn't immediately pull away.

The other guests indeed glanced at them with curious expressions. Most couples in the café were laughing loudly, feeding each other, or holding hands. Aaliyah and Adam were simply sitting there—Aaliyah were eating cake quietly, him sipping coffee silently. No physical contact, no sweet nothing.
