Hi guys this is your author.. and that's my first ever story so plz bear my goofy a** and don't judge so hard . anyways I used to make stories in my head in 9th grade but now am a graduate🎓 and I thought I should give it a try I am a BTS army so I thought why don't I begin with taekook bcz....they are..just amazing so here I am ~

Let's begin with the story.. I will do the characters introduction later in the next chapter

The sun was high in the sky, its golden rays spilling over the neighborhood cricket ground. The summer heat shimmered in waves over the dusty pitch as jungkook sat cross-legged on the grass, his elbows resting on his knees.He was supposed to be keeping score for his brother's team, but his notebook lay forgotten in his lap. His attention was fixed on the game. More specifically, on Taehyung. He was at the crease, bat in hand, his face glistening with sweat. His white t-shirt clung to his back, the fabric damp from the heat. jungkook didn’t know why he was staring so hard. He’d watched him play a hundred times before. He was just Taehyung—his brother's best friend, the boy who’d spent more time at their house than his own. The boy who used to steal his snacks and call him "Pumpkin" just to annoy him. But today… something felt different. He tilted his head, squinting against the sunlight. Taehyung looked older somehow. Taller. His jawline was sharper than he remembered, and there was confidence in the way he moved—like he owned the field. When he smacked the ball for a six, his teammates erupted in cheers, and he grinned, raising his bat in triumph. That smile. Why had he never noticed how… nice it was? his stomach did a weird little flip.

he stammered his voice cracking slightly

Taehyung chuckled before turning back to the game

he hissed, shoving him. But his brother's words stuck in his head and he couldn't stop himself from sneaking another glance at Taehyung.

His heart thudded in his chest he didn't know what was happening .

Jimin teased him again

(On the field, Taehyung laughs with teammates… then glances over again)

jungkook ignored his teasing remarks and asked

Jimin just smiled.. ..a slight curve of his lips adoring his little bro

Jimin ruffled his hairs and went back to the field

His heart thudded painfully in her chest. Hhe didn’t know what was happening. This was Taehyung, for crying out loud. The boy who used to pull his pigtails and call him “squirt.” The boy who once dared him to eat a spoonful of cinnamon and laughed when he choked. But now, when he looked at him, he didn’t see that boy anymore.He saw someone else entirely. Someone who made his palms sweat and his thoughts race. Someone who made him feel things he didn’t understand. And for the first time, jungkook realized… he might be in trouble.

Mrs KIM and Mrs JEON are childhood best friends and neighbors too they are living together as neighbors since their marriage. They love their (each other's) babies so much.

so as their mother's Jimin and Taehyung are also soulmates and suga is a tough guy so he doesn't involve himself in this goofiness But jungkookie has a special bond with all of them especially Taehyung, as the younger child he is loved by everyone, he is the apple of their eyes..

but jungkookie loves his Next Door Hyungie more than anyone else.. from the childhood he admires Taehyung the most and he is so attached to him, nobody minds this at all not even Taehyung he never will because he loves his Bambi he teases him a lot by calling him different names but everyone knows there bond... how much adoration they have for each other and their parents and family also adores their bond.

Later that afternoon, Jungkook sat cross-legged on the soft rug in his spacious living room, flipping through his favorite novel. The air conditioner hummed quietly, keeping the room cool despite the summer heat outside. Sunlight filtered gently through the sheer curtains, giving the space a calm, golden glow. On the elegant sofa, Hobi and Jinie sat comfortably, sipping tea and chatting with bright smiles.

he laughed softly, shaking his head.

He waved his hand dismissively, smiling.

Just then, the front door opened without a knock—like always.

Taehyung walked in casually, a cricket bat resting on his shoulder. He kicked off his sneakers and stepped inside like he owned the place.

He raised an eyebrow playfully.

Jungkook didn’t look up from his book. Or at least, he tried not to. But he could feel Taehyung’s presence instantly—like the air had shifted. His fingers tightened slightly around the pages.

Taehyung walked over and dropped down right beside him on the rug.

He smirked.

He muttered, eyes fixed on the page.

Taehyung leaned closer, trying to peek at the book.

Jungkook immediately shut the book, his heartbeat picking up.

Taehyung leaned back on his hands, clearly amused.

He spoke from the sofa, though there was warmth in his tone.

Jungkook glanced up, giving a small satisfied look.

Taehyung rolled his eyes dramatically.

He stretched slightly.

He stood up, smiling knowingly

Taehyung got to his feet, towering slightly over Jungkook.

He reached out instinctively to ruffle Jungkook’s hair—but this time— Jungkook quickly leaned away.

His cheeks flushed faintly as he clutched his book closer.

Taehyung paused, slightly surprised, then raised his hands in surrender.

He smirked.

And just like that, he was gone.

The room suddenly felt quieter. Too quiet.

Hobi looked over at Jungkook, observing him carefully.

He tilted his head.

Jungkook quickly stood up, avoiding eye contact.

But as he walked toward his room, his thoughts refused to settle.

Because every time Taehyung called him Pumpkin… or got too close… or smiled like that— Everything inside him felt… different. And he didn’t know what to do with it.
