Yoon was Taehyung's elder brother. He was earlier rejected by his mate and could not bear that rejection, so he had died in much agony. After that Taehyung, who was very close to Yoon, started to hate the idea of mates. And that was what triggered him at the mention of 'mates'.

In The Other Room

Taehyung sighed and nodded with a tired expression.

After almost what seems like half an hour of convincing, he agreed to greet him only if that hated personality greeted him first.

His mother sighed and asked him to get ready quickly before going out. Later, after getting ready, all three of them got inside their own carriages (Tae in his own and his parents in the other) and head towards the Jeon pack house. Tae was completely indifferent towards the idea of omega coming back.

He just couldn't understand why was there a feast? And why did he have to go?!

He, however, didn't revolt again. Taehyung had learnt to keep his emotions hidden. He usually kept his calm and didn't really show any emotion. He had learnt not to care. Neither did he want to.

At the Jeon house

They could see many people standing at the front of the pack house. When they get out of the carriages, a few of those people came forward. Taehyung noticed a woman, the Luna of Jeons, hugging his mother while two other men were shaking hands with his father. One of them was Jeon Alpha, and the other was the former Alpha. He too greeted them with a poker face. Then, a few more people, whom Taehyung couldn't recognise, came forward and greeted them. Might be pack members, he thought. They were heartily welcomed with numerous gifts and warm hearts. The Kims finally take seats in a room which was just right next to the main lobby. The room was very big, perfect for such feasts. The walls were quite high and painted in golden colour.

Many more pack elders had come by now.

Namjoon was their family's trusted man. He had been with them since childhood. First, his father had served the Kims, and now Namjoon had followed suit. However, he wasn't treated like a subordinate. He was just like Taehyung's elder brother to them all. Moreover, his mate, Seokjin stayed with them too. Both of them were really sweet and cared deeply for the Kims.

He had known that she would ask about them, so he had instructed Namjoon not to bring them in. This would give him a moment of peace to go out of this place. Finally! Taehyung went out and saw Namjoon standing in front of the carriage.

Taehyung looked at Namjoon in disbelief, and sighed.

Namjoon was 29 years old and he was a strong man. It was fortunate that he had known Taehyung since childhood, else Namjoon would have already given up on his duty after looking at Taehyung's poker face daily. He was really caring and together with jimin, he kept a check on Taehyung's mood. They both knew that Taehyung had shut down his feelings and pathos completely. And they really wanted him to be his normal self again, so that they could see his genuine smile.

Taehyung nodded, and took some gifts in his hands while Namjoon held the others. "Sir would you like me to help?", a voice came from behind him. Taehyung turned towards that voice which he found utterly irksome and glared at the standing silhouette of a woman, probably a helper. The woman flinched and understood that she should simply flee from there. Namjoon chuckled in helplessness, and they both went inside. After getting back inside that feast hall, Taehyung noticed that all of the family members along with his parents had already taken their seats. He went there and bowed to the elders and handed over the gifts to the servants who already had their hands in front of him.

They were still talking in hushed tones when some servants came into the room and announced the arrival of Hoseok, Jungkook and Jimin. The Jeons and other guests all get up. Taehyung is the last one, but he does get up after noticing the glares of his mother.

The others who had already reached outside started laughing at the sentence. Jeewon chuckled too, and hugged both her sons. Jimin sneaked away and found his mother in that crowd.

Jimin laughed and moved forward towards the hall. There he saw his hyung talking to Namjoon. His back was turned towards the door, so he probably hadn't noticed Jimin. Noticing this, Jimin decided to prank Taehyung. However, the elder turned around right away.

Taehyung just stood there, glaring at his younger brother.

Soon, they heard the footsteps of people outside. They both straightened up hurriedly, and stood in front of their respective chairs.

All started taking their seats and chatted casually. It was all okay until it wasn't. Because now Taehyung was just standing there dazed as he smelled the best scent he had ever gotten a whiff of. The scent of white musk and litchi. His wolf started to howl too.

And worst of all, he knew what it was that was happening to him. He hated it. And what was even worse was that Jungkook had entered the room, looking just as dazed.

Their eyes met and they just kept looking at each other. Taehyung's eyes had turned into golden while jungkook simply stood there dazed. Soon the understanding of the event dawned upon the elders sitting. They all gasped as they took in the happening of the events.

He hated it even more now. First a mate and now that mate was Jungkook?? Taehyung closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, the golden colour was gone. Now, just the dark black eyes were left which were throwing daggers at the poor omega.

Taehyung glared at the omega who was flustered and confused. His eyes had changed their colour too, to a shade of navy blue. And before anyone could comment, Taehyung had already gone out of the room without a word.

All were still shocked as to what was happening but they soon followed the course of events. Hoseok took Jungkook in his arms as the latter looked really pale.

He could not differentiate scents that well. Then how? How could Jungkook cleary smell that heavenly scent? The scent of black orchids, Jungkook wondered, confused.

Jimin and his parents apologized to everyone while Jimin rushed out to follow his brother. However, his brother was nowhere to be seen.
