It was raining in xxx city, thunderstorms were roaring as if indicating something amiss.
Lucas was lying in his bed peacefully, unaware of what was happening around the city.
The sound was loud enough to wake up someone from his deep sleep and that's exactly what happened to him, jolted up from the sudden loud noise of thunder he looked towards the window glass as the water was dripping. Clearing his blurry visions he stepped down from his bed as his throats tinged with dryness.
He walked lazily towards the glass of water that was kept near the bedside table and chugged in one go.
As he wiped his face with the back of his hand and ruffled his hair. The sleep never left his eyes even after drinking water assuming, he lied on his bed once again to continue his sleep and was about to tuck himself into the comfy bed. But...
The bell of his main door rang
At first Lucas ignored and didn't bother to go and check
Lucas
Ugh!! Come on who can be at this uncanny hour??(frustrated)
He walked lazily towards the door, meanwhile bell rang once again but this time rapidly.
Without even checking from the peephole, he unfazed opened the door and was about to shout at the person in front of him with full rage.
There standing a man, his clothes moisten not just that it was more like he was drowned in a sea and just came straight to his doorstep. Because of the darkness he wasn't able to identify who it was and shrugged it off like nothing concerning.
Lucas was more frustrated and angry at the uncanny appearance, that too at an extraordinary time.
Lucas
Who are you? Is that even a time to just appear on someone's doorstep, huh??
He questioned and shouted at the person, however what he got in return was nothing but pure silence. As if someone took his soul out from that person's body
Lucas
Look Mr. Whoever you are just left already or should i call the police?
As the words left from his mouth, a sudden heaviness took over his entire body. Area around his shoulders started to get damped and moisten as well.
He looked down a little at the stranger who was standing a few minutes ago and has now fainted , as he tried pushing him away hesitantly, but it was of no use. The scene looked like a giant monster engulfing a poor boy.
Lucas
Was he literally taken out from the sea??
Lucas
Gosh he is so heavy!!
Lucas
What should i do now??!
Lucas
Why this has to happened to me???
The entire living room was dark, one could be identified with only by silhouettes.
Lucas wrapped the stranger's one hand around his own neck, and the other around the waist to help him stand. He wobbled in steps and decided to just drag like a dead body.
As he made him lay on the couch and was about to go grab the towel to wipe off the excessive water.
Suddenly a hand grabbed his wrist and pulled him in with full force.
The raspy voice stuttered not with sorrow or help but with something more— yearning.
Lucas's heart skips a beat, a cold shiver ran down his spine, the mind didn't seem to recall but the body does sure knew who the laying stranger was. As he yanked his hands out from the tightened grip.
Before, giving a second thought to who that person could be, Lucas rushed towards his bedroom and closed the door and leaned against it.
His eyes shrank in anxiety, fear and something more terrible.
Lucas
As he squats down and buried his own face in arms that were being supported by knees.
Lucas
It's not him!!! It's not him!! It's not him
Lucas
why is he here?? Why is here?? Why is he here??!
He was chanting this like a mantra and kept biting his lips till, they bleed.
The person in the living room was coughing and shivering now and then. Meanwhile something triggered Lucas because of that stranger.
Ryan
We are not over yet. (whispered groggily)
Episode 2
The room was eerily quiet. One was shivering cold while the other was shivering in the cold.
Things have taken an unexpected turn in Lucas's life, but never in his life did he imagine it to happen once again. Destiny has played a cruel role in his life since birth.
As an orphan, never get to see and hear his parents faces. In school children bullied him and in college batch mates make fun of due to his petite figure.
And now the stranger who showed at his doorstep.
Everything was rewinding in his head like a flashback as he closed his eyes and managed himself to regain himself from the overwhelming emotion.
As he stood straight, grabbed a towel and a pair of clothes from his wardrobe and walked out from his room to the living room.
He stands near his head, eyes never leaving from the stranger and rolled his sleeves and starts wiping off his body.
Lucas
I'm doing this only for the last time and after this we both are strangers.
Lucas
I know you're listening, don't act like a dead person. Change your clothes and leave from here when the sun rays hits. (expressionless)
After wiping the body he throws the towel onto the stranger's face and leaves to his room.
The stranger grabs the towel weakly and slides down from his face.
As he coughed once again and sat on the couch with the help of little bit energy that he had left.
He looked at the grey sets on the table and changed into them.
As he looked towards the certain room, as if wanting the same appearance once again. But not even the slightest move was made just white noise nothing else.
A long sigh left from his mouth, and his body ached a little and ignored it in a second.
And once again laid down on the couch and closed his eyes.
Whereas, in the bedroom with lucas the situation was now much better than before he was, when he rushed here a while ago.
He already has drifted into sleep, hoping for the new day to come and take away all his nightmares.
The thunderstorms that were roaring have now fainted but the rain showers were still there.
The night was tiresome, especially for Lucas.
