The sun peaked through the curtains, hitting a messy head of blonde hair.
14-year-old Taehyung groaned, burying his face deeper into the pillow.
He was an Omega, small for his age, with a blonde bob cut that matched the rest of his school dance group. He looked like a doll, but his eyes held the exhaustion of someone much older
The sound of a porcelain vase shattering echoed from downstairs.

Taehyung’s eyes snapped open. he didn’t jump. he didn’t cry. he just stared at the ceiling for a moment, blinking slowly.
Tae
(Thinking) Another morning, another masterpiece of a disaster.
he sat up, rubbing his sleepy eyes and messing up his short blonde hair. Slowly, he stepped out of bed. His feet hit the cold floor as he stretched, yawning widely.
The shouting continued below—shouts about "forced marriage," "gambling debts," and "mistakes."
Taehyung ignored it all. he walked into the bathroom and started his morning routine.
Water running... Toothbrush scrubbing
To him, this wasn't a tragedy anymore. It was background noise. Like a radio station that only played static.

After finishing his skincare, he pulled on his school uniform. he looked in the mirror, adjusted his bob cut, and headed downstairs.
The floor was littered with broken glass and torn papers. His mother was sobbing at the table; his father was frantically pacing, clutching a racing form in his hand.
Taehyung walked past them like they were ghosts.
No one answered. His father was too busy calculating his next "business" (gambling) move. His mother was too busy mourning her lost youth.
Taehyung grabbed a piece of toast, spread some jam on it, and ate it while standing up. he didn't sit. Sitting meant acknowledging the mess.

Thinking) New year, new business. Same old debt. I wonder how long it’ll take before he gambles the house away too.
he slung his bag over his shoulder and headed out the front door without a backward glance.
As he walked toward the bus stop, the cool morning air hit his face. For a few hours at school, he could pretend he was just Taehyung—the blonde Omega with the cute haircut—and not the Omega of two people who wished they’d never met.
he stepped onto the bus, found a seat by the window, and put his headphones on.

While the Kim house was filled with the sound of breaking glass, the Jeon mansion smelled like fresh coffee and expensive lilies.

(Smiling, tucking a stray hair behind Jimin's ear) "You look perfect, darling. You’re a Jeon. Just be yourself and they’ll love you."

(Looking up from a tablet, laughing) "Don't scare the teachers on your first day, Chim-Chim."
From the corner of the room, 7-year-old Jungkook sat at the breakfast table, swinging his legs. He was wearing his elementary school uniform, staring intently at banana milk intensely because it was not his it was jumin's

The classroom was buzzing. A new student from London? Everyone was curious.

Class, settle down. We have a transfer student today. Please introduce yourself
Jimin stood at the front, clutching his bag. he looked soft, polished, and—to the predatory Alphas in the back—like an easy target.

Hi... I'm Jeon Jimin. I just moved here from London. I hope we can get along."
The teacher pointed to a seat.
Miss jay
You can sit at the back, next to Taehyung."
he felt the heavy stares of three Alphas in the second-to-last row. They were snickering, looking at his expensive watch and his "innocent" Omega scent.
Alpha 1: (Tripping him as he passes) "Oops. Watch your step, 'London baby'."
Jimin stumbled, his face turning bright red. he quickly scrambled into the empty back seat, keeping his head down. he felt small. Isolated
Alpha 2: (Turning around in his seat, smirking) "Hey, Princess. Since you're new, you should know how things work here. You buy us lunch today, or your pretty hair might meet some scissors."
Jimin gripped his pen so hard his knuckles turned white. he wanted to cry, but he didn't want to be a "loser" on day one.
Tae
Hey. Move your head. You're blocking the board."
The Alphas turned. Taehyung was leaning back in his chair, his blonde bob slightly messy, his eyes looking at them with total indifference.
Alpha 1: Stay out of this, Kim. We're just welcoming the new omega.
Standing up slowly, his chair scraping the floor)
Tae
"I'm not in a good mood. My morning was loud, my breakfast was cold, and now your voice is giving me a headache."
he stepped closer to Alpha 1, his gaze icy.
Tae
"If you touch his bag, or his hair, or even look in this corner again... I’ll make sure your father’s 'business' with my dad is the last thing he ever does. Move."
The Alphas paled. They knew the Kim family was messy, but they knew Taehyung was fearless because he had nothing to lose. They grumbled and turned around.
Taehyung sat back down and opened his textbook. he didn't look at Jimin.
Tae
"They're idiots. Ignore them."
Jimin looked at the blonde omega in awe. he had never seen someone so cool, yet so... lonely.
jimin
(Whispering) "Thank you. I'm Jimin."
Tae
(Still looking at the book) "Taehyung. Don't make me regret saving you, London."
And just like that, the strongest bond in the world was formed. The omega who had everything... and the omega who had nothing
