Venom In Silk

The Devil You Walk Into

The city never slept.

Not when danger breathed through its veins.

Not when HE ruled it.

Jeon Jungkook wasn’t just feared—he was "avoided". His name wasn’t spoken freely; it was whispered like a curse people hoped wouldn’t hear them back.

Because Jungkook didn’t forgive.

He didn’t forget.

And he never let anyone walk away twice.

Across the city, under dim golden lights and expensive silence, stood a man who didn’t believe in fear.

Kim Taehyung adjusted his cufflinks, gaze calm, lips curved in something almost mocking.

Tonight wasn’t just another night.

It was the beginning of a mission people called "suicidal".

"Infiltrate Jungkook’s empire.

Get close.

Destroy him."

Taehyung didn’t hesitate when he accepted it.

Because Taehyung didn’t lose.

The doors of the underground club slid open.

Darkness, neon lights, slow music vibrating through the air—this was Jungkook’s territory. Every person inside moved carefully, spoke carefully… "breathed carefully".

Except one.

Taehyung walked in like he owned the place.

Heads turned. Not out of admiration—but out of confusion.

Who the hell walks into the devil’s home without fear?

Taehyung.

From the shadows above, leaning lazily against the railing, Jungkook watched.

Sharp eyes. Predatory stillness.

He noticed everything.

And right now—

He noticed "him".

The man who wasn’t afraid.

The man who didn’t belong.

The man who dared to look "bored".

Jungkook’s jaw tightened slightly.

“Interesting…”

Taehyung could feel it.

That gaze.

Heavy. Dangerous. Watching.

Slowly, he lifted his head—

And met Jungkook’s eyes across the distance.

Silence.

Not the peaceful kind.

The kind that felt like a war had just been declared.

Neither of them looked away.

Minutes later—

Taehyung stood at the private bar, swirling his drink like this wasn’t a death wish.

A presence approached.

Cold. Dominant. Suffocating.

Without turning, Taehyung smirked.

“Took you long enough.”

A pause.

Then a low, dangerous voice:

“You walked into my place like you wanted attention.”

Taehyung finally turned.

And there he was.

Jeon Jungkook.

Up close, he was worse. Not just dangerous—'lethal'. The kind of man who didn’t need to prove anything because everyone already knew.

Taehyung’s eyes flickered with interest, not fear.

“If I wanted attention,” Taehyung said smoothly, “you wouldn’t be the only one giving it.”

Wrong answer.

Jungkook stepped closer.

Too close.

“Careful,” Jungkook murmured, voice dipped in threat. “People who talk like that here… don’t leave.”

Taehyung leaned in slightly, closing the distance instead of backing away.

A challenge.

“Then maybe,” he whispered, “you should make me stay.”

Silence again.

But this time—it burned.

Something shifted.

Not trust.

Not curiosity.

Something darker.

Jungkook smiled.

And it wasn’t a good sign.

“You’re either very brave…”

“Or very stupid.”

Taehyung tilted his head, eyes glinting.

“You’ll figure it out.”

Above them, the music continued.

Around them, people pretended not to watch.

But everyone felt it—

That moment.

That clash.

That beginning of something that would either destroy them both…

Or bind them in a way far more dangerous.

As Jungkook walked away, he gave a quiet order to his men:

“Keep an eye on him.”

A pause.

Then colder—

“I want to know everything.”

Taehyung watched him leave, the smirk never fading.

Inside, his thoughts were precise. Calculated.

*Target identified.*

But something unfamiliar flickered beneath it.

Something he didn’t plan for.

Something dangerous.

"This is going to be fun."

Web of Control

The music still echoed through the club, but for Jeon Jungkook, everything had narrowed down to one person.

“Still watching him?”

Min Yoongi spoke without looking away from the crowd.

Jungkook didn’t respond immediately.

“He hasn’t moved,” Yoongi continued. “Same spot. Same drink. Same expression. Either he’s very patient… or very sure of himself.”

On the other side, Jung Hoseok let out a quiet breath.

“I don’t like him,” he said.

“He’s not reacting like he should. Anyone else would’ve left the moment you noticed them.”

Jungkook’s gaze stayed fixed on Kim Taehyung.

“He looked at me first.”

Yoongi raised a brow slightly.

“So?”

Jungkook’s voice lowered.

“People don’t do that.”

Hoseok smirked faintly.

“Then maybe he doesn’t think like people.”

A pause.

That possibility settled heavier than expected.

Yoongi finally glanced at Jungkook.

“Want him gone?”

Jungkook’s jaw tightened slightly.

“No.”

A beat.

“Bring him.”

**Jungkook’s Private Room**

(the club which belongs to Jungkook)

(just imagine, this is Jungkook's private lounge)

The door opened.

Then closed.

Silence followed.

Taehyung walked in like he wasn’t stepping into danger.

Like this wasn’t the most controlled room in the entire building.

“You called,” Taehyung said casually, eyes landing on Jungkook.

Jungkook—

Didn’t like the tone.

Didn’t like the ease.

Didn’t like him.

“You don’t get to speak first,” Jungkook replied, stepping forward.

Taehyung tilted his head slightly.

“And yet you’re listening.”

Yoongi stepped in before Jungkook could respond.

“Name.”

Taehyung didn’t even look at him.

“You heard it.”

Hoseok let out a quiet laugh.

“Say it again. Properly this time.”

Taehyung’s gaze shifted briefly—measuring them both—before returning to Jungkook.

“Kim Taehyung.”

Yoongi’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“That name doesn’t exist anywhere it should.”

Taehyung’s lips curved faintly.

“Then maybe you’re not looking in the right places.”

Jungkook moved.

Fast.

Grabbing Taehyung by the collar and pulling him closer.

“I don’t like riddles,” Jungkook said quietly, dangerously close.

“Then stop asking questions you don’t understand,” Taehyung replied just as softly.

The room stilled.

Completely.

Hoseok crossed his arms, watching.

“He’s got a mouth on him.”

Yoongi didn’t move, but his tone sharpened.

“And no fear.”

Jungkook’s grip tightened for a second—

Then loosened.

Then disappeared completely.

“Sit.”

Taehyung glanced at the chair.

Then back at him.

“You really like giving orders,” he said.

Jungkook stepped closer again.

“Sit.”

This time, Taehyung sat.

Slowly.

Eyes never leaving Jungkook.

Jungkook stood in front of him, looking down.

“You walked into my territory,” he said. “You got my attention. Now explain why.”

Taehyung leaned back slightly.

“Curiosity.”

Yoongi scoffed.

“That’s not a reason.”

Taehyung turned his head just enough to acknowledge him.

“It is when you’re not afraid of consequences.”

Hoseok stepped forward a little.

“Everyone’s afraid of consequences.”

Taehyung’s gaze flickered.

“Then maybe I’m not everyone.”

Silence again.

Thicker.

Jungkook leaned forward slightly, hands resting on either side of the chair.

Trapping him in without touching.

“You’re either very confident,” Jungkook said, voice low, “or very stupid.”

Taehyung’s lips curved.

“Or maybe you just haven’t figured me out yet.”

That—

That lingered.

Yoongi watched Jungkook carefully.

“Boss, he’s playing with you.”

Taehyung smirked.

“And you’re watching it happen.”

Hoseok chuckled under his breath.

“I kind of like him.”

Jungkook straightened slightly.

His eyes never left Taehyung.

“Who sent you?”

Taehyung didn’t hesitate.

“No one.”

“Wrong answer.”

“Then ask a better question.”

The tension snapped again.

Jungkook’s hand slammed against the armrest beside Taehyung.

Close.

Controlled.

“You’re testing limits you don’t understand,” Jungkook said.

Taehyung didn’t flinch.

“Then explain them.”

Jungkook leaned closer.

Too close.

“I don’t explain myself.”

Taehyung’s voice dropped.

“Then don’t expect me to either."

A long silence followed....

Yoongi finally spoke again, quieter now.

“He’s clean, boss. Nothing on records. No history. No connections.”

That made Jungkook pause.

“Impossible,” he muttered.

Taehyung smiled faintly.

“Maybe I’m just careful.”

Hoseok tilted his head.

“Or maybe you wanted to be found.”

Taehyung didn’t answer that.

Jungkook stepped back this time.

But his gaze stayed locked.

“Stay here” he said.

Taehyung raised a brow.

“Or?”

Jungkook’s voice dropped colder.

“Don’t test it.”

A pause..

Taehyung stood up slowly.

Closing a bit of the distance himself.

“You keep telling me not to test you,” he said quietly.

Jungkook didn’t move.

“Then stop reacting every time I do.”

That landed harder than anything else.

Silence filled the room one last time.

Because now—

It wasn’t just curiosity.

It wasn’t just suspicion.

It was something far more dangerous.

Interest.
